How to join the Turtle Racing League - TYRO Racing Series

Step 1: Post your request to join along with your PSN ID in this thread. Also choose and include an unused (refer to drivers list) car and wheel color combination and car number. When you join as a beginner you will automatically be signed up for the Turtle Racing League - Enduro Racing Series Division A.

Step 2: Accept the friend requests you are sent which will include our TURTLE_Town lounge that is to be used for practice, testing, free run, or casual pick up races. We race in private lounges not public lobbies. To join the lounge click on the COMMUNITY tab which is below GTLIFE and PROFILE on the GT Home Page and select the appropriate Turtle account, then click on the Coffee Cup, then click join.

Step 3: Purchase and break in your car(s) then change the oil. Do not tune them in any way. Races are "Tuning Prohibited" however, the "Tuning Prohibited" filter allows for changing brake balance, and engine limiter.

Step 4: Division A - join the TURTLE_DivisionA lounge on Saturday night at 8pm Eastern / 5pm Pacific. Division 1 - join the TURTLE_Division1 lounge on Saturday night at 8pm Eastern / 5pm Pacific

Hey Flunky, thank you for joining the TYRO Racing Series. Your color combination should be ok, but the car number you have chosen is already taken. Please refer to the Drivers List and choose an unused one.

Yes, the Citroen C4 WRC is the car you will need for this week. It needs to have 300 km or 186 miles to be fully broken in. We usually use B-Spec races to put the miles on the cars.

Yes what I do is do the bspec for about an hour and a half, then use the rest of ther miles in practice mode to get better with the car/track combo. But you can do all practice mode if you feel like it. See you on the track soon!

The practice races we run on Monday through Wednesday, depending which series you're running, also puts a few miles on the car.

After the weeks worth of practices, I usually wake up on Saturday mornings and figure out how many laps of the Daytona endurance that I need to do. You don't even have to finish the race... you can quit out once you've got enough laps to get the mileage you need. Change your oil and put on your Turtle Race League colors and you're good for race day!

Well good, cause I need the practice as I am a total racing game noob. But, I have the Logitech Driving Force GT Racing Wheel on order, it should be here in the next few days so, that should help me too.

Is there an online practice race this week for Div A drivers?

Some racers will be at practice tonight in the turtle town lounge (the coffee cup) under community, just click on that around 8 p.m eastern time and join and everyone there will help you get better at becoming a faster racer! I can not make tonight's practice though due to work again. But grand valley is one of my favorite tracks in the game and this week's tyro racing should be a good one!

Hey Flunky,Welcome to Turtle Racing League.
Yes there is TYRO practice tonight at 8pm est. in turtle town. It last till 9:30 and they usually do 2 practice races probably 8 or 10 laps.Im not exactly sure. The rest of the time everyone is driving around the track getting a feel for the car and track.
 
Weird, I bought the C4 WRC '08 car from the new car dealership and it won't let me paint it or change the number. Is there a trick to this? Did I buy the wrong car, lol?
