TURTLE RACING LEAGUE - TYRO Racing Series - BEGINNERS SERIES!

We reached a milestone today! I was not able to add 2 of our 3 newest members because the PSN lounges were 100% full. After removing some inactive drivers I was able to send out the PSN Turtle FRs. However, we are still almost full.

What does this mean to you? This mean we no longer have the luxury of having members that do not participate on a regular basis. Therefore, as we add new members that would like to participate we will have to remove those who do not. The league is set up for all members to be able to participate in any event they choose and that is how we would like for it to remain.

As you can see from the schedule below we have 5 very exciting racing series. It is not necessary to race every race or even race every week. However, it might be a good idea to either attend a series practice, a series race, or participate in any of the series threads. If you would like to begin participating on a regular basis again please send us a PM stating that is your intention.

This weeks line up. Enjoy!

Great, just complete the steps in bold print. Thanks, and welcome to the Turtle Racing League!

Step 1: Post your request to join along with your PSN ID in this thread. Also choose and include an unused (refer to drivers list) car and wheel color combination and car number. When you join as a beginner you will automatically be signed up for the Turtle Racing League - Enduro Racing Series Division A.

Step 2: Accept the friend requests you are sent which will include our TURTLE_Town lounge that is to be used for practice, testing, free run, or casual pick up races. We race in private lounges not public lobbies. To join the lounge click on the COMMUNITY tab which is below GTLIFE and PROFILE on the GT Home Page and select the appropriate Turtle account, then click on the Coffee Cup, then click join.

Step 3: Purchase and break in your car(s) then change the oil. Do not tune them in any way. Races are "Tuning Prohibited" however, the "Tuning Prohibited" filter allows for changing brake balance, and engine limiter.

Step 4: Division A - join the TURTLE_DivisionA lounge on Saturday night at 8pm Eastern / 5pm Pacific. Division 1 - join the TURTLE_Division1 lounge on Saturday night at 8pm Eastern / 5pm Pacific

So what division do I race in not sure please help me out I bought all the cars for each division

The race schedule you see above is for all 5 of our racing series. If you are a beginner we will start you in Division A in the Enduro Racing Series and TYRO Racing Series, otherwise we would start you in Division 1 in the TYRO Racing Series and Division 2 in the Enduro Racing Series. The other series do not have Divisions based on skill level. Just let me know where you would be comfortable starting, thanks!

You can buy it from the Citroen dealership for 850,000.

Curious what lap times you guys are putting up in the Citroen @ Grand Valley.

1:56.773 currently not broke in.

Unfortunately, I can't remember what my lap times were in practice. I have practiced for the F1 Racing Series, the FLEX Racing Series, the Enduro Racing Series, and the Nürburgring Racing Series since then. The race is 15 laps, so I must have figured about 2 minutes a lap. I would guess you are doing pretty well.

I'm running 2:15 to 2:12. My final lap was 2:12.853, I'm not that good at racing games lol So I'm sure this is a slow time but it was nice to see me improving at a few laps.

That's always a start, don't worry about the lap times on the thread, it isn't about time trials, its just about the races and being consistant around the track. Just keep improving and you will notice your getting faster

my psn id is darin199313 im gonna practice tonight, if i could get a couple to join with me and tune would be cool, add me and send me a message

Did you rem to change your oil and purchase racing soft tyres?

i am in the A class and it says no tuning, so i cannot mess with anything but soft tires am i right or can i do suspension just not lsd or transmission?

You can set your break balance at what you feel is best, and sometimes you can change the torque.

No, these c4 WRC cars aren't allowed to be painted because of all the stickers and stuff on the car.

No, all you have to do is buy the car, then do a oil change, then break it in by putting around 180 miles on the car, then another oil change for more HP.

I changed the oil after 200 mile break in. I didn't know you could use racing tires, I was using the stock tires that come on the car lol I have a feeling I'll get a little better time if I switch to racing tires.

Thanks for the words of encouragement! 👍

550 pp but my car was not that till i did engine upgrade and a turbo, is that legal??

No you can't add on any parts. Just what comes on the car when you buy it.
Do your oil change break it in (186 miles) then change the oil again. That will give you the max hp and max pp allowed.

I won't be able to make the race this week, but I plan to be there next week.
