I've been out of online racing for about a year and am wanting to back into it. This series looks like a good place for a return. 👍

Hey cueball, I got your PM. Thank you for joining the TYRO Racing Series. At this point just refer to the Drivers List and choose an unused color combination and car number. Then we will send you the PSN Turtle FRs you will need. Welcome to the Turtle Racing League!

Yes we do run it on normal if we are with racing tires, if we run with sports tires we run fast tire wear/fuel and if comfort tires we run with super fast tire wear/fuel!
Sent you a friend request I'm in division X racing with some fello racers of turtle racing league feel free to hop in and race or watch us, these cars are super hard to drive around suzuka, but very fun!
I'll be on in a while and will add you. I think I'm going to spend my time tonight practicing for tomorrow's races, I haven't raced in almost a year and I've got a lot of rust to work out
I have a question for anyone, I've never raced "no tuning" before and when I went to my lounge and set it up for this series, even though I set "tuning prohibited", it still let me into my tuning menu and everything was available. How to I get the "tuning prohibited" setting to work, I need to see what I can and can't do with it disabled.

I have a question, hopefully someone can help me out. Do you get more HP if you change the oil right after you buy a car, then break it in the change it again? Or would it be the same if you bought the car, broke it in, then changed the oil?

I've tried it both ways and it always comes out exactly the same. The only benefit you would get would be that you would be practicing with a car that more closely matched the actual HP you would race with.

Guess I wasted two hours for nothing lol I bought another one and tried it the other way. It was like you said the same... Guess I have another car for a rally tune or something.

Hey nerf058, thank you for your interest in the TYRO Racing Series. There is no need to try out. Just complete the steps below and you will be ready to go. Welcome to the Turtle Racing League!
How to join the Turtle Racing League - TYRO Racing Series
Step 1: Post your request to join along with your PSN ID in this thread. Also choose and include an unused (refer to drivers list) car and wheel color combination and car number. When you join as a beginner you will automatically be signed up for the Turtle Racing League - Enduro Racing Series Division A.
Step 2: Accept the friend requests you are sent which will include our TURTLE_Town lounge that is to be used for practice, testing, free run, or casual pick up races. We race in private lounges not public lobbies. To join the lounge click on the COMMUNITY tab which is below GTLIFE and PROFILE on the GT Home Page and select the appropriate Turtle account, then click on the Coffee Cup, then click join.
Step 3: Purchase and break in your car(s) then change the oil. Do not tune them in any way. Races are "Tuning Prohibited" however, the "Tuning Prohibited" filter allows for changing brake balance, and engine limiter.
Step 4: Division A - join the TURTLE_DivisionA lounge on Saturday night at 8pm Eastern / 5pm Pacific. Division 1 - join the TURTLE_Division1 lounge on Saturday night at 8pm Eastern / 5pm Pacific

Had a blast tonight racing with you all, my rust was showing but not as bad as I'd feared. 👍 I wish I'd gotten my car broken in, the loss of HP didn't make things any easier.

Race Recap
Division 1 and Division A: As both divisions merged together, the division 1 guys decided to roll with racing hards, and let the division A guys roll with racing softs, to make it a very close action of racing, in race 1, there were many battles in the beginning of the race, with spyagent1439 and GTP_Ph7shr, and xtra6154 and kds_2011. Psycho-Tuber decided to help out some of the new comers. RJ_Whitlock_9mm continued to improve as the races went on with the help of Psycho-Tuber. Lead_Flunky was very fast at points during the race, but he kept making costly mistakes, but Lead_Flunky did have a very successful race 1 finishing 3rd overall, but wasn't able to finish race 2. In Race 2, after more close action battles between GTP_Ph7shr and spyagent1439, GTP_Ph7shr finally got around spyagent1439 and went off and won the division 1 overall victory. spyagent1439 won the tie breaker with a slightly faster lap time giving him 2nd place overall, and Psycho-Tuber getting 3rd overall. As well there was a division battle between Psycho-Tuber and Lead_Flunky only separated by 0.940 in the end! There was a super close finish in race 2, between kds_2011 and xtra6154 of only a 0.124! kds_2011 tire wear was beginning to go away quickly during the race, and xtra6154 came fast towards kds_2011 as he had to make up a lot of time, but kds_2011 was able to pull of the Division A victory. xtra6154 grabbed 2nd place overall with two second place finishes in the race. RJ_Whitlock_9mm grabbed 3rd overall with a 4th place finish and a 3rd place finish, and Lead_Flunky was only able to finish 1 race getting him 4th overall. Congratulations to all the guys who came on saturday and finished all very well! Welcome to turtle racing league new drivers that showed up on saturday! Hopefully that was a lot of fun for you guys! Keep practicing and racing for some intense battles filled with a lot of fun! See you all next saturday night for more close racing!

all fixed!no big deal, i hosted practiced tonight, and the practice races were very close. saturdays race should be a close intense good race! see you there!
