Thanks Tommi2000, anyway bad news guys my Xbox 360 just suffered from the 3 Red Ring of Death, so in the morning I will be ringing up Microsoft UK Customer Support to arrange a date for my Xbox 360 to picked up so it can go to a repair building.

The Position thing has to be done by someone else online. However with 2 players on the same console I think it is possible through the system link option, but I cannot check it out if I can do the same thing with 2 players, because of the hardware failure.

Thanks for the comment again, anyway I am blaming Microsoft for putting a delay on the work I am doing, for my side of the joint GT4 update with franz. However if I am lucky I may get my Xbox 360 replaced for a new one come Thursday.

Anyway, before you finish reading this post, I would like to say, I have updated my avatar to show people who do not own an Xbox 360 to see what I had to stare at on Monday night, when my Xbox 360 died on me.

Funny you say that alex, because someone found out one of the things, which causes the Hardware failure is the X-clamp, but when this badly designed X-Clamp starts getting problems it makes the BGU pins to break away from the motherboard or come far too lose.

But the pins come far too lose or break away it means things like the GPU and CPU suffer, which then causes the red ring of death. However, one reason why the X-clamp causes these problems is, you know how heat can expand and bend metal at times, well the X-clamp causes this to happen a bit too much.

Anyway, before I finish this message, I would like to add the X-clamps are part of the heatsinks for the GPU and CPU, so overall this is a design flaw.

Update on the joint update

Do not expect to see the joint update from me and franz for another couple of weeks, because franz is going to be out of his home town for 6 days in only a week. However, the good news about this is well the joint update will not have a deadline, which also means there will be no rush on it.

That wasnt the case for mine which I received about a little over a week ago, they sent me back one that was built in september of last year. Has all the old drives, loud as heck, ect. I think its really just luck of the draw. Me and a guy I know sent off about the same time, he got a newer like you said, I got an older one. I'm not really sure what their process is in sending back newer ones or what. You would think they would want to send you out new ones so you don't have to keep sending them back.....or they just want to get rid of their old crappy stock pile.

I am hoping I get the same Xbox 360 back, repaired of course, but if I get a different one I hope it has the new BenQ drive, but just to keep everyone updated I will be phoning Microsoft Hardware Support later on in the afternoon.

Update on when I will be getting a capture card

Ok after much deciding a couple weeks ago, I will be putting some money aside in the next two to three months for the WinTV HVR-4000 capture card and two 320GB SATA 2 Hard Drives.

However, the good thing about getting two brand new Hard Drives for the capture card will mainly mean I can finally boost my boot times, since these will be my main ones, along with being in a Raid 0 format.

Overall, I reckon I will most likely get the Capture Card and Hard Drives in November.

However, the main reason I am bringing this up, is I may have to do a small update to celebrate my brothers wedding in November. Also, expect to see a link to the Photos in November, some of which will be the car him and his misses will be turning up in, which I am hearing could be a modern Bentley.
