Had good craic last night for what time my net connection allowed me to have. Seriously fooking frustrating as I probably only got 5 laps on deep forest, autumn ring and Tsukuba 
Going to have to try sort it during the week and get my G25 and frame together too as these drift sessions are without doubt the most fun I've ever had on the ps3!

Hi Dave, I'm also new to drifting and will hopefully be joining you all soon. But first I have to build a car!! Any suggestions I have been looking at either a 350z or a Nissan of some sort lol!
Any help/suggestions appreciated.

hi twinkal, if u want a cheap drift car, you can try a lexus is200 '98 and give it comfort tires and some engine tuning, thats what i do

Thanks, I think I'll give that a try before I go and waste a load of credits and realise I can't actually drift! I've never tried it before!

The 380RS super leggera is a pretty sweet car and would make a good drift car and if drifting doesn't quite suit you it can still be a great racecar.
Nissan S13 Silvia is also a good car to start off with and twinturbo has a pretty well sorted setup he could give you to get you on your way.
If you want to try something different, the TVR 350c you can get in the UCD almost drifts itself. Got one at a mates house last night to start him off on drifting and I spent about 30 seconds setting it up with more or less educated guesswork and it was amazing to drift and I could link a full lap of tsukaba straight out of the pits.

I have drifted with Dave M-Sport a few times and am looking forward to hopefully drifting with TwinTurboCH (daves told me about you, think I may just spectate!) at some point in the near future, I am on every weeknight from 6pm. I normally host an online lobby but mercilessly kick non-drifters and restrict to Comfort Tyres and no AIDS.
Please add me on PSN if you fancy drifting, there is usually a few of us on each night and we are all of a reasonable/good standard, would be good to get a room of 12 - 16 without the token plonkers!
Lots of banter and setup discussions too.
(if your offended by expressive colourful language it may not be suitable for you)

When you enter a drift room, go to Garage>Recommended and get any RWD/4WD and drift with that.
EDIT: Or i can duplicate my fully tuned D1 Spec Lexus IS200 for free for you. Just hope you like it yellow.
Or If you really want, my blue SLS-AMG with a bodykit and spoiler!

It would be a help for you if you have a copy of your gamesave first so you can duplicate your Ferrari 458.

I like to practice drifting too, ive got a S15 RM with drift settings, but I can't handle it very well. Looking forward to drift with you guys.

Cool, has it got a low mileage? Not that it matters much of course, just would be nice if I didnt have to splash out for an engine overhaul and a body rigidity restore lol.
Hows about I duplicate the Ferrari and send the clone back to you, then we're all happy! And I'll also give that an engine overhaul and a body rigidity restore if need be.

Mileage will be low mate, I give it an oil change. But you shouldn't need to overhaul the engine or restore rigidity yet.
