TwinTurboCH's drift rooms for regular drift practice.

What tracks are the norm for drifting?...I wanna go in some drift rooms but I want to have at least a decent drift understanding of the track. As of now, drift-wise, I am only familiar with a couple.

Most Drifters Like suzuka Circuit if you just started or want to practice some hairpins Tsukuba is nice also i noticed yesterday that autumn ring short is pretty good for slow drifts

Been drifting online since xlink kai days....

Favorites for me are:
-Trail Mountain
-Deep Forest
-Tsukuba
-Autumn Ring Full
-Suzuka

Any track is driftable and has its unique areas that make it special for drifting.

We tend not to use any of those LOL All too easy.

We tend to hit up:
Autumn Ring Reverse
Deep Forest
Indy Road Course
Cape North
Grand Valley Reverse

We use a few others, but they are the most common. :)

Don't worry, I'm sure everybody here will be more than happy for you to just come along the next time we have a session as just getting stuck in is really the best way to practice. Some give out about noobs not knowing what they are doing but the way I see it everybody has to start somewhere and learning by following decent skidders is the quickest way to improve. As long as there is nobody acting like a ******** (wrong direction, smashing into people, deliberately cutting people up and then spinning and then spinning in front of them)
4WD aren't allowed either as speed differences are too much and end up in crashes.

Autumn Ring full course
Autumn Ring mini reverse (brilliant for practicing transitions)

Tsukuba (probably the easiest track and great fun for drifting the last corner, linking the straight and keeping the tyres smoking until the final hairpin)

Grand Valley (both directions), Grand valley east reverse. Very flowing track but reasonable power and grip is needed for some corners especially on the full course as they are taken pretty quickly)

Indy speedway (awesome for practicing wall rubbing at over a 100mph!
the infield is lovely to link too with nice radius corners that are constant and some tightening)

Toyko R246 (again nice for outside line clipping points but can be difficult for finding a smooth line through some corners and the straights can be abit long to link if you don't have decent power)

SSR5 (nice long corners and good for outside line practice again although a little dark)

Suzuka east (again another really nice flowing track although the last corner can be tricky to get a nice line)

Those are all my favorites.

Trial mountain and Egier are nice too but usually just frustrate me as you really need to know what the other person(s) are doing to tandem or trains on them.

The last few days, I've become quite fond of the 'Ring though and is awesome for sliding although need to be very careful and not go too mad with angle and speed. Tried it in the dark too which was fun :)

Quick (potentially dense) question, BoxrDiesel: how do you get the screenshots when you cannot access a replay when online?

Edit: *facepalm* I've just read how to do this. Sorry!

Cool, was joining random lobbies today. They clearly had "drift" in the title. Dudes going around in Veyrons and F1 cars :grumpy:

I should be on later and I'll pop in if you have a room up 👍

i know!, i always see your name pop up and im like Finally, then its like you left the room and im like damn it :ouch:

Says network incompatibility. I'll assume it has to do with port forwarding on your side? I have my PS3 set to DMZ so I don't think its on my end.

sry for asking this, but how do you go into Photomode from within Multiplayer? I've yet to even see a replay option after a race. Your drift photos are really nice.

After the race, once you are back in the lobby, click on 'race results', there is then an option to 'save replay'. View the replay back in GTLife and you can take photos from there. :)
