Is there such a thing as tyre temp in gt7 ? I know we have the tyre wear and is shown in the HUD but nothing that I can see in the HUD shows the temps .
Yes, just recently someone decoded it and was able to get tire Temps displayed through a patch. Also, I've noticed when you go off track and your tires get dirty it takes a few corners to get all that off. It's most noticeable on tracks with sand and gravel ie laguna seca

There is a rough implementation already in the HUD

If you spin up a wheel or wheels you will see a red outline appear around the tire icons for the spinning tire indicating that it's over heating/losing grip.

That's what I thought it meant at least.

Yeah you can see a tyre temp icon on the tyres. You get a small red ring around each tyres or blue one if they cold.
I use a GT7 app to see they temps. The app for me is far easier to see, plus it gives a little more details.

So, since tyre temp in gt7 is actually real (I too have been surprised sometimes in the first couple of corners in a race, and been thinking “what happened there”) wouldn’t that mean that it is an advantage to use the entire warm-up time on track right before race? Usually I just chill and say hello in the chat, but it seems that warming the tires would be far more productive.
