All previous standard cars are less jaggy and they all will have a somewhat good interior.

Did you get an extra press release that none of us saw? They might be less jaggy (inconclusive so far, especially for the entire 800+), and as far as the site says, nothing more than the simplified interiors we saw in GT5.

No second hand market at all is a loss to the GT series. Instead of improving it by adapting the old formula of manufacturer UCD's they just ditched it alltogether?

Hey, mind aswell. I'm sure there are cars people want to purchase, instead having to wait for certain days to get that said car. It's annoying, I rather all cars be unlocked.

I guess i have to get used to the fact that an old Toyota Corolla will be democraticly priced altough you buy it "new" so to speak, so basicly it would be the same as buying a second hand now that i think of it.

Well not really. It'll pretty much be like you're a brend new model that was freshly built from the factory. :)

So all we will be able to afford with our start credits will be a Daihatsu? :ill:
Used to love buying a cheap second hand as my starting car, and using the extra dough in buying a new exhaust and better tyres...:(

Yeah, i loved in GT4 you would get a heap of **** car, in really bad condition for peanuts, then turn it into a sunday racer. Best way to get started. I never bought a car from the NCD's till like my 20th car.

Those days are gone i'm afraid... A Japanese K-car will be our first ride now

The UCD added "realness" to GT5. I mean, come on, every car you want won't always be available to you when you want it. It was like the For Sale section of the Newspaper or even eBay. Sometimes there is complete crap and other times "the Holy Grail" of cars. Miles on the car when you buy it was cool too. It's like a real used car. I wouldn't expect to find an original 1969 Camaro SS with 0 miles in real life

I found the UCD to be really frustrating! It was so difficult to find a specific car. Although it was a pain in the 🤬, I will say that it gave certain cars the "rareness" factor. With just one big dealership, many cars won't be rare anymore.

How about this (and I know this will never happen as it makes wayyyy too much sense)

How about we have a UCD for all of the peasant (cheap) cars, and an auction-like dealership for the rare, expensive ones?

No, every car being available at all times isn't very realistic but it's certainly better than 30 cars only being available at any one time. There are thousands of cars that you could in real life find any day, in any colour and condition you want. These super common cars should be the same in GT, always there in some form. Not 30 cars cycling round.

But this is supposed to be a Simulator game, right? It's designed to be as close to reality as it gets on a gaming console.

I kinda liked the GT2 setup... would be cool in GT6 to get the car you want that had a few miles on and was maybe a bit dirty and had a small bit of damage maybe for a discount price... but otherwise I'm kinda glad its gone, spent god knows how many weeks waiting for a Legacy Estate in GT5... :ill:
Still love the gt2 way, i'm hoping for that too, The ucd like gt5 with all these cars it's simply crazy...a bit more order would be nice, honestly.
Maybe they can do a different ucd for those who like that system, like the ocd in gt5.

I think the UCD is gone, and it's one of the only things about GT6 that makes me sad.
I personally did not like the UCD, mainly because it takes so long to get a car you want. Due to this, I have still not gotten the Chaparral 2J '70. Though I can see why you like the UCD, it gives you a few cars at a time and doesn't allow you to get everything all at once. I personally like to be able to choose a car I want, when I want and not have to wait months to get. I'm glad they got rid of it.

UCD is gone and I say good riddance. Silly aspect of a game where your access to the majority of cars in the game is governed by some kind of algorithmn you had no control over. All cars should be available at all times if you have enough funds to buy them. At least they got this right.

I remember spending a whole day starting/exiting races to cycle the UCD to a point where the Mclaren F1 GTR would appear, still not sure it was worth it.

I had a dream that there was a Online Dealership where people could upload their cars and sell it in an auction house sort of way...
Loved the way that was implemented in FM4, really was buying a second hand from another user 👍

Agreed completely.

Another thing is that GT is no longer just an offline game. This aspect where some cars are more rare than others is counte-productive when it comes to online racing. You're just making it harder than it has to be to participate in online races and create online leagues if all cars aren't available to buy.

I just think we can have the best of both worlds.

As I said, the UCD is an ESSENTIAL part of any GT game imho. It's part of the game tradition and character. GT3 didn't have it and it was missed by much.

BUT, we don't need to wait for certain cars to appear, so we could have 2 options:

- the regular UCD: used cars, high mileage, beaten up, etc, lower price
- the full dealer, where you can buy those "brand new" car for a higher price.

The critics of the UCD mainly use GT5 as a reference which i totally understand as the UCD system there truly sucked. But let's not forgot the past where GT had those manufacturer dealerships; if for example you wanted to start your career with an old honda civic it was just a matter of going to the honda dealership and picking a cheap one with a bit of mileage.

Who at the PD board decided it was a good idea to screw up that formula, and go for the new lottery system deserves to be sent on a holiday.
