I wonder how much Juventus were paid to lose 3-1...

Guess who.
Neymar and Suarez

It's impossible to hate Messi, he's not like the other two, slight bumps with Suarez and Neymar and they're rolling all over the field, Juve's defense was literally killing Messi and he was still going for the ball.

Watching the game now, just got in from work, I know the score though..

Feed me with your tears GTP

All things considered though, was a very good match. Not quite Barca-Bayern but a worthy final. A good match was needed for football's image after the whole fifa shenanigans last week and we got it.

It didn't really feel like a Champions League final... I mean, yes, it was a great, entertaining match. But seeing Juventus there, it just didn't feel the same as seeing Real Madrid, Man Utd, Chelsea, Bayern. It's a strange feeling.

Juventus have far more history in the Champions League than a Jonny Come Lately rich boy like Chelsea.

Xavi will lift the trophy in his final game for Barcelona.

3-1.

Jesus. Why do I never put money on these things?

Enjoyed the game, don't think Juventus did a lot tbh, was pretty much all Barcelona, liked Neymar's goal, nice neat finish into the bottom corner to seal the win...

....Also, Pogba's hair is stupid...

I know, but I can't express with words how I feel about this final. Seeing both teams on the pitch, it felt a bit off.

This... Juve are part of ECL history.

Great game last night... thought Barca were awesome after Juve got back to 1-1.

I guess it's a bit like if Benfica got to the final. Yes they have a good history in the European Cup but it just doesn't feel... right I suppose.

Cardiff's Millennium Stadium will host the 2017 it has been announced, great news as its a fantastic stadium and I'm lucky to have been there twice to see Wales football team play, The San Siro will host next years final.

Highlight of the first qualifying round is undoubtedly TNS of Wales vs B36 Torshavn of the Faroes.

First leg result:

B36 Torshavn 1-2 The New Saints
Samuelsen ----------- Quigley, Wilde

A good start for the Llansantffraid outfit, but of course we're all hoping that Torshavn give them a spanking in the second leg and those TNS swines crash out.

Failing that, they'll play a team from Hungary not too far from Slovakia. Might go to support the Mighty Magyars.

Celtic coasting through just now, both games have felt like a pre-season friendly which is a good sign. 👍

If the Ajax players weren't so egotistical the second half and the return game against Rapid Wien would have been for the statistics.

Qarabag were nothing special in the first leg against Celtic. Very weary away from home since we give away goals very easily.

Forgive me for being airheaded but shouldn't Man Utd be playing in this round?
Nope. We enter from the playoffs. In the old days it would have been the third qualifying round though.

Tomorrow my beloved Bruges needs to undo a 2-1 defeat suffered in Greece vs Panathinaikos.

For anyone interested there's a breakdown of who we could potentially face in the play off round on the Manchester United website here

Cheers guys, I remember the days of playing championship manager 4 and having to do the third qualifying round.

Very nice game from us earlier. Qarabag utterly out of their depth(somehow). Didn't threaten much and we played the containment game.

Now comes the hard part. :(
