If Malmo get the first goal next week then your in serious trouble...

I saw the score on my friend's PC at work after the game had finished and it said 2-0 Celtic.

Unfortunately, he hadn't refreshed the page for a while, and when he did it changed to 3-2... that last minute 2nd away goal could prove extremely costly.... :/

So, Europa League qualifiers.

Ajax barely won their home game against some Czech team I never heard of. 1-0
AZ lost their away game against FC Astra (Romania) 3-2.

It's going to be a quiet year for Dutch European football.

Southampton just drew 1-1 against that Danish team whose name I cant spell...

Dutch football should get some defence ;)

Ballklubb - Dortmund match. What a match! 4-3 to the Black and Yellow.
I saw the scoreline to that. Saw it at 3-0! Wondered what the 🤬 has happened to Dortmund over the last few years, then I next saw the FT score and took it a good 10 seconds to register in my head. Even against opponents of that level that's still incredibly impressive.

Huge night of football for Celtic. After conceding late in the first leg they go away with a 3-2 lead but obviously Malmo have 2 away goals. An hour into the second leg and it's 2-0 Malmo! Celtic need at least 2 goals.

Celtic need a minor miracle now - 2-0 down on the night and 4-3 down on aggregate... they need 2 goals in the next 35 minutes to stand any chance of progression... and they've already had one goal controversially disallowed... :indiff:

edit: Simul-post :D

Malmo, Dinamo Zagreb, Shakhtar Donetsk, Maccabi Tel Aviv and Valencia progress, Man United tonight play their second leg in Bruges being 3-1 up from the first leg..

And that's Brugge out of the Champions league. They need at least 3 goals now to even it out.

They now need to score 6 goals. That's never going to happen.
5* but even then if they scored 5 we'd only need the one goal and we would qualify not them. Hopefully this will mean Rooney is getting his form back.

6

If it's 5-5 aggregate Man U goes on on away goals.

Edit.

I derped. It is indeed 5.

Derp.

Edit 2.

My math is correct again.

Yup. Kinda hoped for a small miracle too but alas, Europa League it is for Brugge.
If it weren't for that useless bonehead of a Diaby we could have scored the 1-1.
Now we are just sheep in the slaughter house.

I'm getting embarrassed now.

With all do respect, what were Brugge even hoping to accomplish had they overturned the deficit and advanced? If facing Manchester United isn't enough, what about facing three other teams that would arguably have more Champions League pedigree? They would definitely be screwed over come the group draw.

Entering the group stage gives you something like €15000000. So.

Teams of our scope and budget can only run in the EL. Last year we reached the quarter finals there and the total price money earned was 4 million euros, qualify for the CL group stage and you get 10 million...

Like this the difference between the top teams in Europe and the smaller ones only gets bigger by the day.
