Well 1st half of Man Utd vs Benfica played and I gotta say Manchester are looking terrible. Practically all defensive play and no breakaways. Fergie needs to change the formation and have a serious talk with these guys.

Well we started playing a bit better in the second half, it seems we've hit that early season slump we usually start the season in. Rooney looks like he's lacking a lot of confidence at the moment while Ronaldo looks as confident as ever, he's playing great. We got a win, 1-0 with a decent goal by Saha, and a return to first team action by Alan Smith, nice to see him back and good to see him all over the pitch like he used to be.

Ronaldo was loosing the ball alot thats what I didn't like about his game today. Good goal by Saha, what a belter and yeah good to see Smith back in proper action.

He does loose the ball, but today Rooney was the worst culprit for that. The thing with Ronaldo he's been making up for it with some great runs down the wing, and when he does lose the ball it's because he's taking someone on as opposed to a bad pass or lack of concentration. He's still very young and he's still got things to learn as has Rooney.

True. Ronaldo did have some great runs and won us a few free kicks.

It's a pity Fletcher didn't react better after Heinze's free kick, that should have been goal 2, the keeper was in the process of getting up off the floor, he could have hit it anywhere but at the keeper, he even had a touch to set up his shot but it was straight at the keeper.

have Ajax and Bayern Munich have ever met in european cup comatipson? i really want to know because, you know holland and gerermy are really big rivals in international play.

oh, and btw, i'm a chelesa fan, and carloho just did not look good against sofia. i hope borsouz is back for the game against barca, because if not, the blues are in deep trouble and i'm not trying to sell you land in florida.

3-0 win for Man U against FC Copenhagen, pretty comfortable last night. Wayne played well again which is a good sign that's a couple of games now where he's been back on form. I felt sorry for their keeper when Richardson scored. The commentators were giving him a bit of flack for letting that goal in but in the replay the balll swereved on way and sent him the wrong way, it wasn't as bad as they were making it out to be.

Other news was Celtic beat Benfica 2-0 and Arsenal lost 1-0.

Celtic won 3-0 too. Benfica did nothing all game and were really dissappointing. Kenny Miller had another good game, scoring twice. Stephen Pearson came on as a sub and scored the 3rd in the 90th minute. Celtic were missing their 2 main new signings, Gravesen and Vennegoor of Hesselink, but you wouldn't really have noticed. 19 year old Evander Sno replaced Gravesen in midfield and had an outstanding game.

hoping for a liverpool win tonight... theres a first time for everytihing

Chelsea and liverpool won, good showing for British clubs this round.

Holy Hell!

Anyone seeing what I've just seen? Lampard's equaliser for Chelsea is one of the most outrageous goals I've ever seen...

Yeah it looked more a messed up cross than a shot to me. But credit to Chelsea for coming back from a goal down twice, they deserved it imo.

france doesnt permit beer sponsers :carlsberg

Yeah I know, but I thought they could be more original.

For example, when Wales (rugby) play in France they replace Brains with Brawn. And when the Ospreys played in France they replaced Worthington's with 'whoosh'.

But sometimes, sponsor logos make the shirt look better IMO. Some of them would look really dull without the logo on it.
