Uhm, why did Polyphony not release a new trailer?

The game is supposed to come out in little over two months.

They've always shown a new trailer at TGS whenever they were this close to releasing a new Gran Turismo game.

This makes no sense at all.

Please respond.

Welcome to the forums!

I really don't see a need for another trailer, 3 is enough, but I won't complain if they do decide to make another one.

Nobody will ever know... not even PD... :\ ... but yeah, probably, they were running behind schedule because of Jalopukin whatever it was called.

Well, they made a Gamescom trailer instead. Same same.
There's only a month in between them anyway.

As for what they've "always" done, TGS used to be the only major game event during this time of year - now since Gamescom popped up, it isn't anymore.

Because we are too hard on PoDi. We hurt their feelings and they no longer like us.

Perhaps because of lack of new content. There won't be a livery editor like in Forza, visual damage won't change significantlly. A.I. will be still the same. 1200 cars overall, about 150 new cars (many of them they have already shown, they will also count duplicates like aniversary cars, new NASCARS and etc), few standards will be converted into premiums (they said that not every standard would be premium, the meaning is still the same when they upgrade for an example only 30 cars. Up till now only few standards converted into premiums are known (Countach, Cizeta, Alpine, Europa). Maybe this the answer why there was no trailer at TGS.

To anyone looking to find out what ignorance looks like, look no further than the quotet post.

^ I like answers like yours. They are very factual or argumentative. For an example if they have lots of standars converted into premiums why they didn't show a trailer with premium GTO, FTO, Impreza STI VII, Supra any many other classic Japanesse cars at TGS? It was the best opportunity.

Another question that I have has to do with the way PD release their trailers. Not too long ago they uploaded them to their site so we could downlode proper 1080p (or something very close to it) versions of every video they wanted to share.

But now they are only providing youtube links to their videos.

What gives??? :nervous:

Thanks for the welcome Liampage. :)

You are haven't been keeping up to date on GT6, or you knowingly posted false information in your post (which, by the way, is against the AUP). While we can be sure that they won't feature a livery editor as complex as the one in Forza, we do not yet know whether we'dd be able to do some sort of livery customization.

You have nothing to support your arguement about the AI, as Kaz has specifically said that it won't be the same. While none of us can say whether or not the AI will truely be improved, we sure as hell don't know if it won't.

Game will feature at least 1400 cars, at least 400 of which will be premium. Probably more. NASCAR's aren't duplicates, and we have no way of knwoing if they're counting the anniversary cars in their total car count. It's worth noting that 1400 is not an exact number, just like 1200 wasn't back when GT5 was released.

We have no way of knowing how many standards will be converted, and it means literally nothing that they haven't shown that many yet. They have no reason what so ever to show you everything before release.

We don't know why they didn't show up at TGS like they said they would. It could be because Kaz was busy promoting himself and his documentary, or It could simply be a change in plan. Saying it is because they have nothing to show is rubbish.

Where is can I find this list of 400 confirmed premium models? =O

Well. We haven't gotten info on them yet, but I'm sure we will soon. I can give you this info though:

experience points (levels) is officially gone.

And A-Spec and B-Spec aren't seperated anymore (meaning you can switch to one or either other as you please. :)

At PD's office. GT5 has what, 250 premiums as of now? GT6 will add a good amount of new cars, which which should mean that GT6 will have more than 400. If we take the more literal approach, GT5 was advitised as having 1200, and GT6 as having 1400. That means at least 200 new premium models.

No it wasn't. GT5 was "over 1000", GT6 was "1200" then "over 1200".

We know that GT5 had around 250 premium cars at the end of it's DLC days, and that all premium cars should be transferring. We know PD is adding 200 NEW cars (therefore premium) to GT6, bringing the number up to 400-450 premiums. Then, there's more standard-premium upgrades, which we've seen a few of. We've only seen maybe 25 new cars in the trailers (an 8th of the said number of new cars...) so if we put the same value on the shown standard upgrades (Cizetta V16, Alpine, Lambo Countach, LMP Jag [GT5, but still updated]), then that's another 25-35 more premiums. Then we also know that there's duplicates that are being left out, so if the count really IS 1200+, then POSSIBLY (emphasis on that word) the entire premium count could come close to 500, maybe even more.

Plus, according to this article:
https://www.gtplanet.net/kazunori-yamauchi-on-gran-turismo-6-standardpremium-cars/
ALL standard cars are going to look better.

PD probably hasn't shown all of the new cars for a few reasons - not all of them are done or ready to be presented, or, he doesn't want to give away every single thing away at this time. As people have stated, there's still two months. There's still time to make announcements as well, just not necessarily at gaming conventions.

If you're going to throw around AUP and snidely imply a poster is knowingly posting false information, you should back up each of those paragraphs with a source.

This is one of best replies I've read on this forum. 👍

That had to be the funniest thing I've read today.

1400 is an exact number, so is 1200. They are numbers that can not be further simplified. There is no uncertainty in the numbers 1400 and 1200.
But I would agree the number of cars is not exactly known for GT6. The official website says "Gran Turismo 6 will contain approximately 1200 cars at time of release".
Though they give an exact number for approximation. IE 1200 and not say 1200.004533564 measured from a drunk employee using an experimental algorithm. But then we are crossing meanings of exact...

Gran Turismo 6 will contain approximately 1200 cars at time of release, and more and more cars are planned to be added thereafter.

Perhaps you'd like to provide your source for "at least 1400 cars"? Or perhaps you'd like to retract your statement?

Yeah, all the trailers they have shown are amazing. So it would be great to see at least 2 more and many more videos before release.

They confirmed that all standard cars from GT5 have got upgrade. However cockpit view won't be for all. As far full detailed cockpit view goes 400+ should be easy as all the cars since GT5 are premiums. I hope GT mode can be done will those cars it self. Most people use first person view so I guess for them it does not matter whether cockpit is there or not. But for me it matters a lot :(

I don't believe they said all standard cars from GT5 are upgraded. I don't know the exact quote but I think it was along the lines of, "the worst of the standards are to be upgraded"...upgraded being defined as "better than before", not full premium treatment.
