co-op and online sounds good. It really looks a lot like the RE5 Versus mode. Wonder how the gameplay mechanics will be. And hopefully the story is good as that makes the experience a lot more enjoyable in my eyes. Does anyone know if this game will be 720p or 1080p? I don't know why but it really bothers me that a lot of PS3 games are 720p, why not fully utilize the HDMI and the potential for FULL HD games?

I bet it'll be in 720p, for two reasons. The first being a framerate issue, probably from the video card bottlenecking the system. And secondly, the trailer on the PS Store is only in 720p, whereas games that run in 1080p (at least MGS4, GT5:P and GOW3) have 1080p trailers. To be clear though, MGS4 and GT5P are upscaled from 1280x1080 (can somebody confirm this?) whereas (somehow) GOW3 will run natively.

/\/\/\ Wow that video looks awesome. Looking forward to it's release. Hopefully the story will hold up as the graphics look great, game-play seems similar to the first. :)👍

Ohh I haven't had a look at the video you guys have posted but gamesyde has one up in full HD and its 5 minutes in length and is a 600mb download for the MP4 version.

Based solely on the length it sounds like it's the same video.

Don't worry Sprite. You're not the only one still working on the first one. I just checked my status after playing last night and I'm only 55% done. :scared:

i just checked and the vid i posted is not part of the second vid after mine posted. the second vid is a seperate one all together, even tho they may look similar they arnt the same

I haven't looked at the one you posted yet, but Sprite's and KENJIusa's are both the same.

Thanks for the link... downloaded it and played it back on the PS3, and it looks much better than the GameTrailers version. 👍

As seen in the video, I like the addition of the Riot Shield and the way you can use it. I also like how he was able to push over the table and use it for cover.

I hope we get a confirmed release date soon.
 
I'm playing the first one right now (rental) and...

I'm afraid I hate it. Not as much as I hated Fallout and some distance less than I hated PAIN, but I do hate it.

And it's a pity, because I like Naughty Dog's stuff. Crash Bandicoot without them was pap. Jak and Daxter was great but this...

It's Tomb Raider. I don't like Tomb Raider, whatever the wrapper. It's a very pretty wrapper, but it's still Tomb Raider.


So, like Fallout, I'll rock up that Platinum and send it back.
 
well, i was looking at the shots, seeing M4's AK's, M9's (92FS), that 44. and i was like "there better be some new guns" then BAM! FN FAL! so happy!
 
I'll be on the multiplayer BETA when I get my code, any others getting one as well?

If you don't want to pre-order inFamous for one, IGN will be giving away a couple (hopefully of thousand).

Just bought inFAMOUS, with the UNCHARTED 2 multiplayer beta voucher in it. Tried to redeem the code, but it will not let me!! Do i need to wait until the beta starts to redeem it?

Where did you find the code? In the manual? I can't find it, and anyway I thought it was getting emailed to me.

This has to be the best looking game on any console right now.

Yep GAP has its perks. You could also get inFamous. alba I would love to play some MP or CO OP once my finals are done. also BTW your KS2 PS3 theme has earned a permanent spot on my PS3. No other theme even comes close. Stellar job.
 
I just watched a couple of the gameplay videos and ghis game looks amazing. I loved the first Uncharted and this looks even better. It was one of the best exclusive games I played for the PS3.

Uncharted 2 launching October 13, GameStop pre-order includes early multiplayer demo access
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves will be out in North America on October 13, according to a statement given to Kotaku by Sony. The box art has also been revealed, featuring Nathan Drake hanging precariously from a ledge, looking with disgust at the game's title. You can see the full box after the break.

In addition, Sony revealed four different exclusive digital pre-order bonuses for different retailers. Best Buy gets golden guns for multiplayer, Amazon gets a Treasure Map item that "allows players to discover hidden treasures throughout the game," and Game Crazy gets a currency multiplier item that unlocks currency in multiplayer games more quickly for a limited time.

GameStop's pre-order bonus is the big one: early access to the multiplayer demo (as well as access to the "Revenge" booster). The multiplayer demo opens on September 30 for everyone else, but GameStop customers will be able to get in on September 9.

Why are demos suddenly pre-order bonuses?

Amazon's bonus looks to be the best, but that is just because it will likely be a bonus for trophy chasers and unlocking in-game stuff. That is assuming it is like the first one, of course.
