Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

For those using Home, and are wondering how to get through the locked doors located in Sully's Bar in the Uncharted Home Space and don't want to try and solve the codes on their own, here they are... I'll use a spoiler tag for those that want to try and solve the codes on their own.
Granted, when I checked it out last night it was crowded, so I didn't look hard, but where is the clue to figure out these codes?

I've just bought the Platinum version of the game recently after reading the game suggestion thread (link) and the positive feedbacks from members in the forum. I'm simply addicted to its amazing graphics and the whole experience throughout the game! 👍
The cutscenes are really movie-like, and watching those cutscenes just like I'm watching a movie. :D

The story is a bit short IMO, but the gameplay is awesome! Really enjoyable.

And I'm really looking forward to Uncharted 2! 👍

I got the first uncharted it was amazing game to play good graphics and good story line ended. Going to buy the 2nd uncharted game can't wait for it :)

Before I bought this game, I watched the Uncharted 2 trailer as well as the gameplay video at GDC 2009, and my reaction at that time was "WOW!" the graphics is amazingly beautiful and the movement of Nathan is so natural. 👍

Then, after I've bought Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, I can hardly put my DS3 controller down, I could only put it down (reluctantly) when my family needs to watch TV. It has got a nice story line and it becomes more and more exciting when approaching the end. It keeps you playing the game till the end of it.
I've never experienced a game like this before (I was originally a racing gamer indeed, never played any other genres of games before I got my PS3 :P)

Really? Because I nearly turned it off after the plot twist showed me that Naughty Dog unnecessarily brought in a video game cliche where it had no business being.

Remove that aspect and the game was absolutely brilliant. Fortunately, it only lasted for a level or two.

From a realistic story telling POV I would agree... but from a gameplay POV I would have to disagree.

I thought the new enemies were not only a welcome change from the never ending pirate and mercenary battles, but the way they appear... especially their sound and movements...

It added a much needed and enjoyed heightened level of anxiety and intensity to the the gameplay... even when replaying the game at the higher difficulty levels 👍

But yeah... as far as a realistic plot point, if it was just a movie or book and not a video game, I would have felt differently.... however in that case, just about every action adventure game would fail in that regard as well.

I agree with what you guys are talking about (The Enemies more associated with El Dorado). I didn't see that one coming, but it did add some excitement to the game. I really enjoyed the overall experience and exploring all the environments. The 2nd one looks like a nice improvement over the first. Hope they don't let us down!

Honestly, if it weren't over-used in games I would have probably felt different, but the only thing that could have been more over-used would have been alien space marines.

Really I have no problems with how they did what they did, but what they used to do it. I liked what it did for the action as thinsg were really slowing down at that point.

And in the end, I was just a bit disappointed to see a cliche used by a company as creative as Naughty Dog.

So I can not be careful about what I say (this is the best under-the-radar game this generation and I don't want to ruin it for those just finding it) I'm going into spoiler tags:
Zombies were a cool gameplay element, and in games that focus on that element (Left4Dead, Resident Evil) it still is. But when games throw them in just because (COD, Halo, Uncharted: DF) it seems a bit like the creators fell back on a cliche instead of trying a different approach. From the moment I began seeing the hints at what was coming I kept saying to myself, "please, don't be zombies." I would have easily accepted mutants (radioactive artifact), secret tribe that protects the artifact, or even bigfoot/sasquatch creatures. Heck, the monkey things from Congo would have been a change of pace for videogames. But zombies are cool now, so we got zombies.

And before someone claims they were diseased, not zombies: Capcom says the same thing about Resident Evil now. At the end of the day, a zombie is a zombie, no matter how they got like that.

Really, I only had two issues with this game: This, and the QTEs for the boss fight. Neither were game ruining and everything else was so great that I easily moved past them. I'm just a story-driven kind of guy and hearing someone think this was a great element makes me cringe. This was a great game, but their few weak spots just happened to be two of my pet peeves.

I think the following would be some kind of spoiler text to new comers of the game. So I put it in spoiler tag. :)
When I first came across the later chapters, the dark environment really made me feel nervous, wondering what's going to happen next, especially when those "creatures" suddenly appeared in front of you! :nervous: I didn't expect this kind of "creature" would be included in this game (which I thought this is Resident Evil-like kind of thing ). It's kind of frightening when everywhere is so dark and those "creatures" keep coming to you and scratch you till you die. :scared: But once I get the hang of it, it's not that difficult to get pass that stage as I thought before. :dopey:

I'm closing in on finishing the game on Hard (70% if memory serves me correctly), I'm at 50/60 treasures and I'm getting close to having all the various x number of kills with x firearm*. Then it's off to crushing and my first Platinum!

*I picked up an M4 last night, offed one guy and got the medal. Must have been at 49. :ouch:

Chasing trophies is a guaranteed way to get yourself into a "one more try" mentality. I ran into the same issue with Buzz, where I was trying for 50 single player games. I finally quit and went to bed. The next time I played the very first game I played got me the trophy.

I come across a firearm, I check to see if I have what I need from it and then decide if I want to pick it up or not. The 49/50 with the M4 was just coincidence - I'm certainly not keeping track. On another go through on Crushing I'll be able to wrap those loose ends up.

Everything else is done so I only have to worry about getting through on Crushing now - no treasures to mess with, no checking which weapon to use, just carnage. Hopefully Drake educed instead of Drake received...

I've been playing this game recently and it's certainly close to the best game I have ever played! Of course since it's Naughty Dog it's bound to be good, but this game is incredible!

Currently I've got all 61 treasures, got every trophy apart from the 'Charted! - Crushing' one, so I just need that one then my first platinum! :D

Same here. I haven't been able to get back to it for a few weeks, but watch out for Chapter 4 on Crushing. Not fun. At all.
I've been wondering what extra treasure is.. I've only collected 60 of them.
Technically, all you need is 60, not 61, for the trophy, but if you want to find it, there is a good lists of all the treasures and their locations on IGN. :)

Well, I completed the game a few months ago (and won the Platinum Trophy). I found all the treasures according to IGN's guide previously, but didn't see the 61st one. :P

The 61st one is not a normal treasure but called "strange relic." It has its own trophy for finding it. The only thing special about it is that it is annoyingly hard to find.

^ But if he has the Platinum Trophy, he's already found the strange relic and is missing one of the "regular" treasures.

Correct, but Strange Relic shows up in the in-game treasure list, if I remember correctly, which is why I believe AUSnicko9 said 61 treasures.

From a trophy perspective, it doesn't count as a treasure. But just looking at the list of all discoverables it does.

Ah, no wonder I can't find any missing treasure then. :dopey:
Thanks FK. 👍

The two trophies in questions are Relic Finder - Find the Strange Relic and Master Fortune Hunter - Find all 60 treasures. The catch is I am still missing one of the regular treasures, but have both of these trophies, so the Strange Relic, while giving you a trophy just for finding it, also counts towards the total, giving you a possible of 61/60 treasures.

Really? Now I am just plain confused.

I'm hoping that is just a glitch, as I have 6 more to find.

Just finished the game on Crushing difficulty. :D I didn't find it too hard, just needed to remain calm and kill the guys before they swarmed all over you!

A absolutely brilliant game, extremely enjoyable! Can't wait for Uncharted 2 now!

Oh my god. I am at the submarine place (Chapter 18?) and there's these mutated things. They scare the living hell out of me.

Hehehe. Don't be, there is nothing to be afraid about. Just use blindfire and that's it.

Oh man, those levels which the mutants appeared in were almost too much for me, they just keep coming at you. I was glad once I finally got out of there!
