Say goodbye to the Icebox. I think there are like 40% that'll vote low because racecar. It's weird, I know. I'm the sort that'll put the Chapparals and the 917 Subzero though.

Same goes with concept cars.

I have a little pizzazz up my sleeve planned, this combined with the car's amazing history should get people to reconsider.

(To everyone else, no more guessing please. I don't want to derail this thread to much more)

Don't think this has been nominated already...

2003-2008 Mazda RX-8 (231bhp version)

Engine 1.3 L RENESIS (Wankel)
(2003 Engine of the year)
Power - 231bhp at 8200rpm (redline at 9400rpm)
Torque - Some (OK, 156lb/ft @ 5500rpm)
182 bhp/tonne

Figures (from Autocar)
0-60mph - 7.1sec
Top Speed - 142mph
Standing qtr mile - 15.3/93mph
Standing km - 27.3/119mph

Although with a 50/50 weight distribution, straight line speed is not what the RX-8 is about. It's a good looking, fine handling, purpose built sports car that can seat 4 in comfort, and with a rotary engine and "freestyle" suicide doors there's certainly a lot to divide opinion...

Ferrari 250 GTO

Dimensions: 4325mm x 1600mm x 1210mm (170.3 in x 63 in x 47.6 in)

I'm a little surprised that the oldest Ferrari on the GTP Cool Wall is the Testarossa.

Only 39 examples of this Ferrari has been ever made. 36 cars were made during 1962-1963 with 3 more made into a "Series 2" version in 1964. 4 older "Series 1" cars were also reworked into the "Series 2" body.

I was searching for a good car to post in the "Rate the vehicle above you" thread and this came to my attention. Really think we should poll it since it was the first ever RS Audi and is an extremely rare and interesting car IMHO.

Not sure if this has been nominated. I'll nominate this whilst the Formula Ford is being polled.

2011 BMW 328 Hommage

image.jpg

3 litre twin-turbo straight six
305bhp-320bhp (going by the Z4 35i/35is)
780kg/1720lbs
Front engine, rear drive.

Concept car inspired by the original 328 and based on the second generation Z4 (E89). Uses a lot of carbon fibre and other weight saving tech.

The car in that image is not stock (it has aftermarket wheels and a bodykit fitted), you may which to change the image.

Say to this:
Peugeot_605_in_profile.jpg

That picture is taken from a better angle to show the car as well, in my opinion. The one that you posted makes the car look far smaller than it actually is, more like a 405 than a 605. In fact, are you sure that it's a 605 and not a 405 in that image?

In other news, I think just found a clip on YouTube which perfectly sums up these cool wall threads:

Seriously, just change "eyesight" to "specific output" and you'll see what I mean.
