I've been on a kick lately trying to find cars that are unexpectedly fast. So far, here are the ones I've found...

2003 Ford Lightning SVT
2003 Subaru Legacy Touring Wagon 2.0GT
2002 Audi RS6 (sedan or wagon)
2002 Mitsubishi AirTrek Turbo R

the mercedes sl65 amg is mad when fully tuned, it produces around 970-80hp however standard weight is over 2000kg :(

and i find that the toyota tacoma is a really good and fast car in game

It depends on what you mean by fast.

I find the Lotus Esprit V8 to be unbelievably fast. I have mine mildly tuned to 400HP, sport softs and weight reduction #1. Its cornering is average, but when you floor it, it's the only car that gives you such an incredible sense of speed.

It could be the perfectly tuned stock transmission, the lovely sound from the flat-plane V8, the insane turbo whine, or the perfectly place cockpit view. Love that thing.

300ZX and new fiat 500 fully tuned for me-250 horsepower in that little tiny orb of uncool :embarrassed:

zx@400 hp is very well balanced, nice speed and accel. At some point, going to be my nurb 4h car i think

fiat 500 is just... fast! Gets a little bit of understeer, but then i didn't tune it at all >.< Carries excellent speed through turns-like a cappucino rm, but not quite as good =3

Lexus sc300. 700+ or 800+ hp, I can't remember which. Andx the sl600 which I've seen with well over 1000hp

Ginetta G4 fully modified gets 604pp, without downforce, and that may sound a lot, until you realise the only reason it can get so high is because it has just a 415kg weight, it only gets 270bhp with a full mod. However, it really isn't as sluggish for its PP as it could be, and while the handling isn't perfect it isn't terrible for me.

Not to say that it's particularly 'fast' in a straightline manner, but I am still impressed by the lap times a stock Elise can lay down when managed properly.

This title goes to the Chaparral 2J. It absolutely decimates anything it goes against in its PP range, and I routinely beat LMP cars around Spa by a significant margin. Off the line it hardly moves, but once you get over 50 it will out-accelerate any other car (in a matched race), and it out-corners anything else too. It also only has three gears, so no surprises when accelerating through corners. I ran an easy 58 seconds around the Top Gear Test Track, which is my third fastest time if I remember correctly.

Fully tuned Chevy Silverado - Huge pickup truck with 900 or so horsepower capable of 200+ mph. Just awesome!

I would have to agree with the Legacy. Very quick, handles brilliantly, and surprisingly un to drive. It's more fun than nearly all my cars, supercars included.

The Amuse S2000 R1 and Opera S2000, these two cars totally urinate all over the NSX's and M3's that people like to choose in 500-530pp rooms, they give away alot in terms of BHP but the cornering is ridiculously good, you can take corners a good 10mph quicker than other cars and out-brake them around the outside and still get the apex.

Same goes for the Lotus Evora tuned to similar levels, has the handling of the two above but with more power, will completely embarrass an M5.

I just got to bring the Lamborghini Countach LP-400 up for some reason, fully tuned, and racing soft tyres, i think it's faster than almost anything in his pp range, i love that car:) (and it's not too expensive)

I agree on that, really fast, but I think Miura is even faster 💡

suzuki 4200r, caddy cien, mazda kusabi and go karts. All are fun and fast, i didnt expect that though.

why would the CEIN be anything less then fast? Its a High Revving V12 if my memory serves me right.. the thing looks like the bat mobile.. I thought that car to be nothing short of blistering fast! :dunce:

Mercury cougar xr-7. 750 horses with less than 1200kg? This thing embarrasses even some of the modern muscle in the straights.

maybe not a huge surprise but i love my 08 RS6 Avant, it looks silly but has over 980bhp. handles well too for being so fat.

I like to use cars different than others in online lobby.
I use the Miura for 500pp races (most people use NSX, 111R or M3) and Ferrari 330 for 600pp races (most people use SuperGT, DTM or even LMP)

Not always win, but it's fun to spank the usual contenders... :)

Errrrrrrm. No, i didnt like it stock, fast-ish but my COUNTACH 25TH ANNIVERSARY kicked its ar*e:dopey: obviously lightly modded

And on that note, the SL600 is even more impressive, IMO. It's still a heavy car, I think it weighs around 1600kg after all the weight reducts. BUT its a gigantic twin-turbo V12 and it produces over 1,000hp and I can't remember the torque exactly buts it up there as well (over 900 ft-lbs).

But unlike the SL 65 AMG, I've seen the SL600 run speeds of up to 268mph. I only got my SL600 up to 266mph with the occassional split second 267 if I run it into a wall. Though I've seen other people hit the famed 268mph no problem. Didn't know much about top speed drags, so I might revisit it and give it a go again.

Impressive for such a big boat of a sport coupe, considering it out runs the likes of Viper ACRs, Enzos, McLaren SLRs, all kinds of race cars, and the FGT ;) always fun to toy with a FGT down mulsanne. It was a huge suprise to me. However, much of its allure is gone now since word got around that they are such beasts. Most people have them now.

My SL65 has got me up to 298mph(slipstream and presumably catch up boost). Really annoyed i didn't make the 300.
So much torque.:)
It's basically done at idle so you have to change gear far too early :yuck: for my liking anyway.

Fully tuned Cadillac Cien. I haven't used it once until yesterday. When it is fully tuned, though (965hp) it goes like stink :D

The Ferarri California. This is a car that I've run stock, in my own time trials, against moderately tuned DB9's, SL55 AMG's and XKR's. The California runs equal or better times but feels much sportier and confident doing it. I just wish I could put the top up without putting an ugly wing on the back of the car.
