-Mazda RX7 Spirit
-Lotus 111r (especially nasty after race mods and a short final drive)
-69 Stingray (mines will continually trounce M5s and 458s all day)
--imho the best car in the game as per speed, handling and how much power you can actually put down, (consider the a/c cobra , built up to 700+ suspension is as tight as my 66 s/c, but will only destroy tires) is the 96 Camaro lm race car...yes the f10 and GT kart are extremely quick and handle brilliantly, but i'm only considering production cars and their racers...

I got one of these recently but im having trouble liking it... doesnt seem to have much soul... Kinda boring to drive, even though its really fast....

So true. I was doing a race on the Nurbugring and it was the only car keeping up with my RUF. It bothered me on how fast a tuned minivan can be, it made me feel slow. :grumpy:

Hmm it wouldnt happen to be a ghst-_-R3CON_80 that you were racing against would it? Because i remember a while back I was using that car against a RUF on the ring.

I don't remember the name of the guy, all I know is that the Audi was a dark red and loved to honk at me. And if the RUF RGT was yellow and the lobby had a 500pp restriction, then yeah it was me.

If you have any suggestions for others to do I'd be glad to try them out.

Well, I do have some cars in my garage that would benefit from a tune:

Mustang SVT cobra R, powerful, but the handling could be much better.

Ginetta G4, as CBPFG2 mentioned. But you might now about that one already, having a vintage tuning garage. Many have tried to tune this, many have failed, me included.

Then there's the E-type. Same story.

I've also just messed around with the Toyota RSC, and managed to get a time of 6.55 at the ring. Trying to improve the setup the best I can. Same league as the Stagea and Caldina, but no tunes exist for this car, sadly. Same goes for the rally version, which you might remember from gt4.

And recently modded a Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary. Was pleasantly surprised with it. Only tunes for the original countach exist, and one of those is from your garage. Maybe it can transfer pretty well to the newer model.

The Nissan Silvia 240rs has potential to be a beast. More than 400 horses, stashed together in a less than 900 kg body, and with a look that's more unique than most. No tunes of this car here on GTP as well, surprisingly.

Nissan Fairlady Z 300ZX (Z31) ‘83 is an older, but well performing car. Not too much of a powerhouse compared to some of the others, but nice looking, and no, no tunes exist for this car as with many of the others. Tends to whip out it's rear.

And finally, the Chrysler Crossfire might be able to transform into something useful. The least powerful of the ones I've mentioned, but I think that this car deserves a tune, which it lacks on GTP.

Pretty much all i can provide you with as of now. Plenty to choose from. Perhaps even a little overwhelming, but a great place to start would be with one of the cars that haven't got a tune already. 👍

I'll start looking for the SVT, Silvia, and Crossfire.

I have a good set for both the Ginetta and E-Type (200MphFord's creation), and both will be up on the Vintage Tuning Garage thread before long. The Lambo is already there.

Friend me on psn and I will send these to you the next three days. I have raced you in skeletor's and titus's room several times. You are a clean racer.

The aventime is amazing. Pulls like a beast and can beat so many things at about 450-470pp. Just a shame no-one i find runs low enough to use it =/ mine beat loads of 370 and 350z's :P but it is bright orange so it isn't really subtle :P

Citroen Xsara VTR from the used car dealer handles incredible through the corners at Rome Circuit. I used it for the European championship and it ran some great times.

Well I appreciate that!
If you'd like I have lobbies open quite often and youd be welcome to hop in and help with the tuning as I get to them

Haven't seen anyone mention the Peugeot 106 Rallye - the FWD Elise!
Weighs nothing and with some more power/suspension mods is enormous fun at the ring :D

I tend to mod out a lot of odd cars, so I can confirm that the XFR is extremely fast when tuned. Mine has 700 HP and hasn't been broken in yet. Problem is, it's a bit slower than most of the Generic Exotics you see in online drag rooms and can't turn a corner without turning all the way around (didn't want to make it ugly with a spoiler).

The Chevrolet SSR also puts out plenty of power and, unlike a lot of other cars, actually sounds good with the racing exhaust.

The Mazda MX-Crossport concept is incredible. I haven't used it for drag yet but the handling is beyond your wildest expectations (with racing soft tires) and it's pretty quick too. Plus, the paint chip you get will look good on anything (or at least, any premium car).

The Eagle Talon is capable of well over 190mph modded. Expect some pretty hefty turbo lag though.

The Hyundai Tiburon Turbulence ('99) seems similar to the Talon stock, but doesn't respond nearly as well to upgrades, with a max in the 280hp range (as opposed to the Talon's 380). One look at the boost meter will tell you why. However, the handling is nearly foolproof.

(Nearly) fully modded, the Ford Taurus will pull hard up to about 165-170 mph, whereupon the stock 4spd transmission with its low, cruising-oriented top gear causes the velocity data to stall almost completely. Max SSR7 tunnel speed is 175mph. The extra gear from the FC trans only gets you an extra 5-6 mph unfortunately. And no matter how hard I try, it still has horrible understeer. However, none of that will matter anymore when you hear it with the sports or semi-racing exhaust...

The Dodge Ram is extremely fast, but it definitely takes some getting used to - else you'll be squeezing people into the outsite barriers with predictable regularity (my proudest race online was sullied by a turn-2 squeeze in this truck).

The Viper GTSR Concept is fast enough to keep up fairly well in online drags, even with the stock gears, and it sounds great doing it.

I can't vouch for the effectiveness of the Neon SRT4. I've wanted one since well before the PSN went down but I never found one (if I did, it had more than 5-10 thousand KM, the typical level above which I ignore a car).

I've tuned up an Alfa 147 GTA, but I haven't had much of an occasion to use it, so I can't give any details.

I have a massive backlog (thank you, zero mile online specials), but still, if you get a seemingly useless car (from a ticket, perhaps), I probably want it more than you do. I'll take whatever free slow or otherwise useless cars anyone cares to donate (Daihatsus, the umpteenth duplicate Countach LP400, Miatas from 1K tickets, what have you).
