Gotta give the Scirrocco a mention. It's capable of punching well above it's weight, surprised a couple of guys on SSR7 in a 544pp limited room with the VW at a mere 525pp! Pulls over 200mph even at only 419bhp!

Bone stock, my Scirocco is about a second quicker than a stock TTS around the Nordschliefe. Have to be smooth and tidy with it to carry the most speed, but it really shocks me how quick it is every time I drive it.

Gotta agree here too. I've got a tune that I'm still working on running Sport Softs. I've got her roughly at 467pp (I like conservatively tuning cars in GT). Last night, I got a 7:39.726 out of her on the 'Ring, and that was just my 4th lap of tuning (I JUST downloaded the car last night)!!! Heck, I hadn't even installed a tunable LSD yet TO tune out some wheel spin issues in corners!!! This car is SCAREY quick!!!

I typically don't even drive FFs in GT, but wow ....

EDIT: I had to update my time and pp. I was at work when I posted this.

Giving my opinion based on stock models (if you tune them, they are all fast), I have to give an honorary mention to the Toyota Tacoma X Runner. It has a fat torquey V6 engine, perfectly tuned 6 speed transmision, a performance oriented suspension, and it handles overall like any sports car. It is funny to mention that for a long time a truck was the fastest performance oriented Toyota in the new car dealership of GT4 (as well as irl). I liked it in GT4 and I love it in GT5.

I always have dismissed the Mazda RX-8 for the more pure RX-7, but Today, I got a big surprise, picking up a "RX-8 Type E" 2003 model.

I intended, to race it against a faster field and went to the 3 lap Supercar race at the Nurburgring GP circuit in A-Spec mode (my usual test ground for a quick spin).

I had my doubts, how this car will hold up against the usual 600hp 1200kg competition and tuned it completely before entering the race, including the biggest Turbo upgrade.
It was shy of 600hp, and man, is that car quick!

I finished 1st with more than 10sec ahead of a TVR Cerbera Speed 12!

I then proceeded, to throw the Turbo upgrade out entirely and shorten the transmission to a top speed of max 260km/h.

I enjoyed quite a few tight races with a Corvette C06 being the fastest contender, always overtaking on the start finish straight, while the RX-8 killed the heavy corvette through all corners and at late breaking points.

That specific RX-8 not only is fast, but it handles absolutely fantastic with a basic setup and sounds great too!

Too bad, there are no seasonal races, I could enter this car, to race the big boys and earn some serious cash in the process …

To be really honest, for me it was the Red Bull X1/X2010. I knew it was fast, but didn't imagined it would be THAT fast. Or have so much grip, or so much stopping power.

My fluorescent blue Honda Z ACT. Contains 82 screaming ponies and can barely touch 135MPH by itself. Not too bad, eh?

pagani zonda C12S. foaming at the mouth with torque, you'd be lucky to keep her under control for the first 3 gears. but once that nightmare is over the ride is pretty fast.

Toyota Sports 800. Fully maxed the car seems to think Sports Softs are Racing Softs. Put Racing Softs on it and you'll never have to brake.

Toyota MR2 Supercharged '86. The car fully tuned can do under 1:18.000 on the TGTT. Not bad for 300hp and 900kg, plus it's fun to drive!

The BMW 120 diesel. Mildly tuned can push almost 360 ft/lb of torque, which is insane for a 2.0 4 cylinder. Plus it has the typical sharp ride than any other BMW, which makes it a very effective machine on the track.

The only downside: it sounds like it has a BOV, and it backfires... not what a diesel should do.

Another shocker I stumbled over today, the Spira (Korean thingy with the strangely unpronounceable name)
583bhp, just over 1000kg but still capable of 220mph on SSR7! It also has one of the best exhaust notes in the game! (That last bit is just my opinion though)

thanks for the tip! the car is now amongst my favourites, best sound with the semi racing exhaust. It's what they call a korean ferrari after tuning 👍

Lancia Stratos '73 , 505pp , can blast the competition on the Nordschleife straight, at 300km/hr with no draft. That is, if you can drive it safely enough to reach that point in the race. Destined to tune it for the track for elite 505pp dominance. (street)

If you DON'T expect a zonda to be quick, I think you may need to re categorize what is fast and what isn't

You understand that the Stratos is the street version of the actual rally car right? I'd expect it to be pretty fast, just as the rally car was.

Has it got that much power ?!!! I want one.
👍 this is mine in the game. surprize the hell out of people on SS7.

The Lexus GS300 Vertex Edition is a real treat. It contains 667 horsepower fully modified, and it screams down SSR7 at 210 mph. It has embarrassed Mustangs, Imprezas, and even a stock Ford GT. It's fast, and with aftermarket rims, it looks like a boss. 👍

The Datsun 240ZG (HS30) when u give it a mild tune (st1 engine, sports ecu, st1 weight, sports filter, sp intake, sp exhaust parts, sp suspension) goes like nothing ive driven round the 'ring and feels a lot faster than the 8:55 lap i did earlier sugests...

The civic R 97, stock on sports hards that car is a blast to drive, prone to oversteer. The integra touring car (not sure of the exact model-RSX body style with red & black paint and yellow lights) its got 320 hp stock, but it goes like a bat out of hell and handles like its on rails.
