Wow, I just installed the theme and it is excellent! I really love the choices made with the icons, the way many are stylized into automotive symbols without being gimmicky. The graphical style of them, too, is perfect! There's just the right amount of 3-d shading to them; they don't look flat, they don't look stupid. The Gran Turismo menu sounds are a lovely matter of exactly-what-I-was-wishing-for. I've got the red theme, matching beautifully with my wallpaper of a collection of black GTi's, the subtle red accents and black main body.

I absolutely love the theme, and thank you very much for making it, Alba.

Alba, fantastic work dude. This is the best theme for the PS3 I have seen yet, no lie. I love the keys, and awesome work with the GT menu sounds. I've been looking for a GT5p theme for a while, and the best one I could find was the official one on the Store. But this is far better.

well some of the downloads say nosound in them, could you have used one of those by accident?

make sure you select the right one yeah, it tells you on the ps3 too "themename (color)" or "themename (color/nosound)" :]

Rest is too bright for me.

You can darken the wallpaper via XMB settings. 👍

Ford GT wallpaper is dark enough. Also, I think there should be a Nissan GT-R wallpaper. This car is the symbol of GT5.

Well for me Ferrari F430 suits the best for this theme.
So I didnt really mean brightness of wallpaper, but the whole wallpaper
If you know what I mean.

I forgot to copy it from my PS3, but I think alba know which wallpaper Im talking about
It was in the older versions of this theme.
I think many people would appraciate this wallpaper, especially Ferrari fans.

Alright! Bumping up this thread because I'll be redoing a lot of things since the gt5 build showed the menu changes, I'll do things accordingly!
Will post WIP here and ask for feedback and suggestions. I'll be bringing back backgrounds once the 3.0 FW update comes out. I really really hope sony gives us the ability to make our own animated backgrounds!

I'm definitely looking forward to it. God knows they will probably try to charge us $3 for a dynamic theme.

I also thought that something like black & white race footage, kind of like the GT PSP trailer, would be neat too.

yeah or like different car parts in "outlines style" moving around... so much can be done it's just a matter of what sony will allow as i'm sure they want to make money on dynamic themes but one of the things I love about the ps3 is how you can customize it yourself and go pretty deep with it. Not allowing users to do that would suck, a lot. At least for me

Same here, I've always used the theme ever since my first PS3. And although I don't really care much for GT anymore, I have the theme as its simply the best theme I've ever seen for PS3. I'm looking forward to what the next version has instore.

breaking news, I found (thanks to someone on NeoGAF) a picture of the GT PSP menu not blurry at all and it seems direct feed so I got color reference for all the icons and that should help me out to remake them as close as possible

Im mixed opinions about them really. If they were kept the same as prologue people would moan and say oh they should have updated them, yet changing them means some people wont like them.
