Which car should be used for the "new" backgrounds?

I guess I'll have to release 4 versions of the theme now, old icons and new ones to make sure everyone's happy :P


For those who care (or maybe need it but have no time) I've redone both GT PSP and GT5 logos in vector form.

Regarding the themes I'm currently redoing the icons I'm almost done with the Arcade mode icon and i've got the base done and reflections which can be applied to all of them anyway, I'll post pictures here as I do them... more this weekend so ;)
 
Are they allowing you to do dynamic themes? I heard on the Interwebs that you had to have the PS3's SDK to do them, but then it was the Interwebs. So, I thought I would actually ask someone who makes themes.
 
No they are not, that's why I'm looking for someone with one to help me out :P
 
Hey alba, brilliant theme! :) Just installed it and it looks fantastic! Brilliant work!

One thing I noticed, is that the "sent items" has a blue outline around it, even though I installed the red theme. Is this correct? Regardless, looks great. 👍
 
I'm guessing this has already been asked. But is there anyway to get the theme using a PSP as the USB drive?
 
Hey, alba, do you still have the very first GT theme you did on your hard drive somewhere?

Because, as I recall, the icons were different. Would you mind posting a screen capture or something? I just want to see the icons. If it is not much of a problem.

If I'm bumping the thread, I apologise. But I have a killer idea - a GT-R slideshow theme. First it's a KPGC10, then it's a KPGC110, then a R32, then a R33, then a R34 and finally an R35 and then the slideshow starts again.
 
I've been really busy the past couple of months so I'm sorry if I haven't had enough time to update you guys on what's happening. Actually the GT5 delay might be a good thing just for me because it'll give me more time to finish the update to the theme. I'm planning to remake all the XMB icons and change a few and make them better and obviously make them using the new GT5 main menu look. I'll keep this old style seperate in case people like it better (since I've seen quite a bit of you guys don't really like the new gt menu which is a shame) but well, everyone has their own taste so!

Alright I'll update this thread whenever I got some news for you all, take care!
 
I'm gonna update the theme asap since we got the new minis icon and what not :P

Looking forward to your next update alba, to this day I still use your theme and have not found one that comes close to the consistency and quality of your work. 👍

Like TD said, I have used your theme since you first released it. In fact, other than the themes that come installed on your PS3, I've never used another theme full stop.

You know what's going to happen though don't you? After the conference there will be a firmware update which will about add about 12 new icons just to annoy you!!;)
 
Well I have pretty much all of them to remake anyway since GT5 uses a new style. I'll need a couple of months to finish all that up anyway so, more or less doesn't really matter :D
 
While you guys wait for updates I've created a little background for GT5 using some of the new assets released on the japanese website. Nothing too fancy but if you want it for your own resolution, let me know!

@alba, you are a legend with all your handy work, keep it up they look great and know that your themes have graced my PS3 for many many years now and im very thankful. cheers.
 
The poll is quite old, that's why, I just put the cars I had in mind at the times, no worries :P I should actually close it.

In the meantime, I've been working on redoing the background for the theme, still very early but yeah... getting there :)

Hey alba, how is this coming along?

Were you succesful in your attempts to gain access to a devkit PS3 to make a premium theme?
