Gran Turismo 7, has unwinnable games. I have played every GT game. This is the first time 11%, thru the game I have to give up. I can't run "chili pepper" races hundreds of times. I feel ripped off. I have an expensive racing setup. There is no decent info on these races available anywhere I can find to help win these races. I find some of the Mission races unwinnable. This is not a skill issue. It's the game, specifically BoP. It's ridiculous and the GT website doesn't have a number, address, or any other descent way to address the issue with them. GT7 is terrible. I wouldn't give it one star.

The sheer number of people who have completed every race and challenge in the game would suggest very firmly that they are not, in fact, unwinnable.

Perhaps you could suggest some specific events with which you are struggling and the people here could suggest solutions. You could also search this site for those events and you'll likely find that other people have asked already and answers have been given which helped them.

On the flip side, the original raison d'etre of this site was for fans to discuss, compete with, and assist each other in all matters Gran Turismo.

If this is a person who is struggling with something in the game and we can help them overcome that, we ought - even if they come to the table with an "it's not me" mindset. It does neither them nor us any good to just mock them.

There are plenty of other easier races were you could find more pleasure racing, and come back later to those pesky pepper races, which are indeed among the most difficult of the game.

I would feel ripped off if the content was so easy that I would have rolled over the game in one month.

Then you are in the right place. As @Famine just wrote, there are plenty threads here about every race in the game, which cars to use, tunes and so on.

I don't know for you but for me it is clearly a skill issue. Does not prevent me to have fun in other parts of the game.

BoP is constantly adjusting from update to update, in order to level the field as good as possible. But it won't prevent you from winning every single player event, if you take the time to improve enough.

I'd suggest to be more patient. With time and training you'll find more pleasure in this game.

specifically BoP

BoP isn't on for some of those [red hot] chili peppers races in road cars so you'll need to do some tuning, luckily they're restricted to PP and people have shared their setups for them if you search around the forums or look on YouTube (KCR-Mark is good for the grind races).

For races with BoP on like Gr3 there will be some cars that are quicker than others but most of the category should be close enough to compete, since you're struggling have a look at replays from the leaderboards in the daily races, licence test and circuit experience, they might show some differences to help iron out those skill issues you mentioned. Don't be afraid to use their ghosts (👻) too, it's good for a direct comparison on where you're losing the time (corner entry, exit, etc).

some here will laugh at you but i wont. i agree. to win some of these races is so far from the better than average driver, even they cant do it all. i give up myself on golding everything. theres no way unless im a robot.

What setup?
Repeating the challenge/race time and time again will create muscle memory to the point where it will surprise you. Keep the repetitions to a level where you are shortly before getting frustrated/mad and try it the next day again.
Skills are sometimes "bad" and occasionally you have to "unlearn" things to win a race/mission in GT7

Yeah, not a skill issue, when so many of us have beaten everything on hard difficulty with no assists. Reminds me of the recent poster exclaiming that they've "mastered trail-braking" yet couldn't beat most of the CEs. Okay buds.

I don't go into a COD multiplayer match, get slaughtered (because I absolutely would), then try to blame it on anything other than myself.

There's another good point here;

Gran Turismo single player isn't actually very good at letting you know how well you're doing until the later parts of an event (unless of course you spank the entire field). This is another symptom of rubber-banding, lack of qualifying, and chase the rabbit style races. The solution for casual players is always going to be 'whack on more horsepower',and that doesn't teach you anything.

It never has been, either. Before I started racing online with GT Sport, my overall driving technique left a lot to be desired, but to my mind I was perfectly quick. I used to hot lap with my friends in Arcade Mode back in the day and we all thought we were the next Ayrton Senna.

I think this would also occur on every other race and not be restricted to the missions.
Most notably I guess in this case a new player would struggle much sooner: in the licence tests, where driving with a restrictor for someone not yet totally familiar with the cars handling would very early indicate "impossible to reach times"

Granted, I missed that, but the brake could still be binding.

But my point about not being very welcoming still stands.

True, but faults can be intermittent. I know when the brake on my previous Logitech wheel started binding, it didn't do it all the time. A firm press would solve it for the rest of a session sometimes.

Those are both highly unlikely scenarios. Both of which can be easily assessed by going into the controller settings and looking at braking/throttle values. This person has an "expensive racing setup", that they no doubt set up themselves. This is basic setup 101 stuff.

If someone anywhere begins by saying the fault is not with them, but with the game or something else, only joins to complain instead of looking around for info that may help them, wants PDs contact info to "address the issues", and gives the game "one star" what responses do you expect?

In what world is it rational to contact a game company to complain that they made an unfair game that other people aren't struggling with? This is ridiculous behavior in any genre.

This is real Karen behavior, and doesn't really merit responding with anything constructive. This person is either trolling us (likely), or venting about not being 100% good at a game they just got on Christmas.

This person did not come to get help. They came to vent while telling us they're not the problem.

This is a discussion forum, and like it or not, sometimes they aren't all sunshine and roses. This is literally what it's all about, regardless of if the conversation is supportive and constructive, or lame and funny. You're a moderator, not only should you understand that, but you also shouldn't be discouraging normal discourse just because you don't agree with the vibe.

No one's breaking any rules here, and the poster is receiving the responses they warranted based on how they approached us.

Wanting to call a game company to complain about difficulty, and also exclaiming that they are sooo good it couldn't possibly have anything to do with how they play doesn't give me the feeling they are open to rational, constructive advice.

Many people in here have given good suggestions... let's see how that plays out.

I am not a perfect racer. In these chili pepper races ( grades 3 and 4), I am not able to run a race without running of thr track once or spinning out once. It just seems like I have to run a perfect race to win. So I do cadt some blame for on myself and didn't mean to come off that way. My bad. I was hoping that some folks could help me. Give me tips. Best cars. Stuff like that. Also my glasses are currently broken. I am nearly blind in my left eye, so that has been affecting my driving. (That isn't an excuse, but it is a problem). I am driving with one ey basically. This is frustrating. I know I can win these races. Any suggestions would be great.

You don't need a perfect race, but going off the track and spinning certainly won't help. You just need to work on your consistency.
