Hey guys, the credits for coming first in b-spec have not gone down on all events. I am level 40, and wanted to grind 24hr Nurb for money (have a nice R390 Race Car in UCD so I have to get as much money as possible per race event and Nurb b-spec gives the most.) It was 399.000 pre-update. Thought i'd see it at around 320-350.000 but no. It has gone up to 599.000!! So that's great!

After waiting for 9 hours !the Download of the 1.06 update reaches 100% then when the install processes is about to start a "corrupted file" error message appeares
Then i tried to update again and it appears that the 1.05 update got corrupted too so now i have to download it (608mb) and the new ****in update again !! which will probalby take me a week! **** my life :S

Is it just me or is this new: in the audio settings you can now choose custom music to play in the menu screen, as well as the separate control to select music for racing to. I'm pretty sure I've not seen this before today, since it's one thing I've wanted I'm sure I wouldn't have been so stupid as to have missed it.


Sadly the music only stays playing on the main screen and you get the horrifically repetitive Tuning Shop music still, shame, I just want my chilled out tunes to play continuously, no stopping, all while I browse through the menus... please PD...

That's ok then, I'd not bothered looking in the menus since then, a nice little addition (but much better if the menu music didn't stop for the different in game music for the parts shop and the UCD etc, kinda defeats the purpose of me choosing my own music... still it's progress

I read someone ages ago asking if this patch has now fixed the Lancer Evo X steering issue when using a wheel. Not had a chance to set my wheel up to see but I certainly hope so, my favourite car from Prologue but not fun in GT5 with the constant swaying in a straight line! I saw it mentioned somewhere that this specific car had an issue fixed with it... I hope this is it..??

I don't know if this has been said but they've removed collision dq from licence tests.
In my oppinion it makes race licences amazingly easy to gold.
Good thing though, I hated when I get dq for AI ramming into me.

Inoticed it as well. I saw it on Tsukuba so, I would assume it has to do with the AI reaction when really boxed in , or some other reason.

I was a little concerned with PD issuing regular updates, but all has been well. Ididnt read all the posts but I think they addressed the issue of headlights glitching through any "randomly generated" track. (I.E. the GT Special Grand Tour Lambo event.)

I hope someone has pointed out that due to the fact GT5 installs most critical data to the HDD almost any and everything should be able to be manipulated by PD through patching unlike most game which simply dont allow hardcode manipulation.

Not sure if this came in 1.06 or not, but I was just watching a replay of the Zonda R going around the Nurburgring and noticed that there are a couple of extra camera locations when you push SELECT. There's the normal driving views, plus normal TV camera view, plus two 'in-cockpit' views (one shot from over the drivers shoulder looking at the road, one shot from the passengers door looking at the driver), plus two views from the top of the car (one facing forwards and one facing rearwards)

My friends list now displays their A-Spec level on the thumbnail. I can sort by A-Spec level, B-Spec level and just plain ol' alphabetically. I don't know if the sorting is new, but the level overlay is.

Also, the cars in my UCD have changed colour... There was an M3 in that blue that they only seem to come in, and now it's Imola Rot. I mean, before the update that very car (I bought most of the cars in my current UCD line-up) was blue, and now it's red.

I just thought that was interesting, at least we can more easily get some different colours now. I have a nice purple Veyron in the OCD, too.

I've noticed that the cars in the UCD available in more colours than before. For example, I have Two Megane Coupe's in my UCD, both of which are a different colour. I've only ever seen this car in the same colour for the past few months until this update. The same can be said for quite a few cars in my UCD right now. I'm just wondering if this is new.

The UCD prices and mileage have changed. More realistic, it seems. Prices increased for rare cars and ones with few miles. Many older cars have many more miles on them than before...prices dropped for those.

Seems to be random colors...I've seen the Karmann Ghia in two different colors since the update.

Under appreciated aspect is the Controller Sensitivity. Bump it up to 3 and you really get much better throttle and brake response...as well as more nimble steering control.

Holy crap, XP in the Indy grind race has gone up from about 4100 to 18595. More awesomeness from this update. And by far the best change, there is a new color Mazda Carol in the UCD.

New colors for used cars

Some UCD things here:
-The "Just In" sign changed from a flashing white word to a red color that stays there.
-Also, has anyone noticed the "1 color thing" might be fixed? I have 2 Peugeot 206CC's in my UCD, one in Orange (my pre-1.06 color) and the other in silver.
-The RUF RGT changed from silver to red, if I can remember correctly.

I think also some UCD cars have changed colours. Pretty sure the Holden Monaro only came in silver now is listed as blue in my UCD.

On topic, awsome Update apart from the PP, I don't see the benefit in it. Should of just put in power:weight ratio. Now when I go to the UCD I have to see the stupid, uninteresting PP instead of the power.

I managed the 1st 24hr race over 3 days. Took some effort though. Luckily Im not working right now and have no commitments. But for those that are busy bees, a save feature is necessary. maybe like every 3 or 4 hours to keep it challenging.

That would be realistic too as drivers generally take turns every 2-4 hours.... I think, depending on the race. Racing 24hrs straight, talk about sleep deprivation. This is just a video game in the end.

Hoo-ray!!!! Yeah, I can actually hear the engine noise now rather than having it drowned out by this infernal whine. Actually made me reluctant to go to the customizable transmission in some cases.

The update seems to be sorting out a whole lot of bugs and annoyances and generally polishing the product to the standard it should have been on release. The only real show-stopper left is lack of saves in A-sec enduros.

With this lot out of the way, I hope PD can start putting their efforts into more content (cars and please, please please, more tracks!).
