Update 1.10 Install error

I have this problem too, I live like Nitro in the Netherlands and also happens in Emmen. I myself have this same problem too and he keeps saying, 'Turn the system off while the HDD access indicator is flashing,' '
Fairly obnoxious,'ve now tried to do it again almost 25 times, and this does not work, searched the internet and not found an answer,

Gave up on the update and tried playing offline and game froze on second race. Worried about buying another copy of the same game that is known to have problems. Then I would have been had 2x. Worth the risk but....I may have to "burn the building down" if I get screwed again. Think I will try the update another 10x first, lol. Damn this sucks. FIX IT Polyphony Digital!!

Buy another new copy of GT6 and if you are still having problems just return it to where you brought it from.

I have done a wondrous amount of tips and tricks just for the game to load up. I have downloaded the patch file by file on both a wireless and an ethernet cable from 2 different locations with internet AND 2 different discs... I usually get fine until patch 1.07 or 1.08, but the funny thing is, the more patches I seem to download one by one, the further I seem to get in my game career. At first I was just renewed with a Mito I first bought and 40G's but by the time I finished the 1.04 patch then I'd usually have all my stuff back from what I used to have.

Back on to the main topic, even though I download the patch's one by one and enter the game right away, the system doesn't want to seem to install the patches of the game onto the HDD until it's all into one big lump again at the very end of the install (which I've been trying to avoid this WHOLE time since the start...). Three times I've seen the install consist of around 780 minutes every time, then by the time it reaches around 4 minutes, it takes a half hour longer and then the same message "an error has occurred during the installation". Never have I had a game where I had to go through so much just to do a stinkin' race. I'm tempted to just snap the disc in half and just boot up the ps2 and throw in gt3 & 4...

Totally agree with Dry7123. Tried to update about 20 different times 20 different ways and no love. GT5 still works but I have to start from scratch because I deleated everything tryin to get this stupid update done....I had well over 1000 cars too. I GIVE UP. Let me know when there's a fix....or the next game comes out.

OMG i'm getting frustrated of this problem!
i've been installing,rebooting,deleting the game file and reinstalling it for 2 full days now and it still doesn't work.
i think i'm gonna buy myself a xbox one and forza cuz this is just so anoyying. if it doesn't work tomorrow i'm gonna quit GT

Same thing here, I've tried everything I mean everything from deleting game data, restore files, port forwarding with my internet provider, I have a case # with sony playstation network they know me already since I've been calling them for a hole week now because with Polyphony Digital forget about it they don't even have an internet chat (pretty deam sad for a company that make millions). All they have in their website is that ( we'r sorry all this problems will be resolved with the new update 1.12) BS... 1.12 came in and the same freaking problem still going on. The best solution here guys is to safe some money get a gaming PC and get into Iracing, any ways when the next gt tile comes out it will be on PS4 and then you will have to pay anyways to play online and to be onest with you the closest you gonna get to real simulation is IRACING trust me on that one, this hole thing about GT is BS, they were good not ant more.

The updates are way too buggy to install on an almost new console, barely used, I've tried updating and I get error on both cases, both my phat 80 (now 250) Gb and a slim 160 are not doing it ... I am not going to try a third console ( there is also a superslim 250 here) I now resign trying to run that new track that never worked for me

I have 2 PS3s they are both 160 Gb and I all so have a PS3 old 80 Gb and I have no problems with them even with GT6. Have you got a good internet ?.

Well been a while but it's great to see that after 2weeks of gt6 working and then a couple of weeks off and again no further than the great install...installation failed screen. Time to sell gt6 and get a game yhat works n so close to being all I had hoped of...ie a great driving game with brill cars to buy and tune! waste of 40 quid is my thoughts now!

I dont know whats, I am running the latest system patch, and a fresh GT6, its the standard edition disc GT6. Also HSR seems to fail to load aswell, anyway if i cant get this fixed by 15th October im done with this game

It's bulls**t. They can release a 15 mile track with a brand new time trial mode but cant fix the bugs that the game still has. Not getting an XB1 for Forza, I'll just sell GT6, buy GTR-2 and GTR Evo off steam and wait til PCARS and The Crew release

I'm selling it tomorrow and looking at what better game there is to get...grid 2 still works like a charm without the online side!

writting a complaint to them too as this is taking the piss big time! waste of our time, money and not what you expect from a high end game! just spent 4 hours hoping that the new update i read about would work...but no same loop of install fail and ages waiting for the thing to tell me that (6mins on screen lasted 45mins real time!)

I really don't like the grid series so I just wasted 50 euros on that.... I returned it and bought Assetto Corsa, wich is an awsome game. Comming from gt to ac was just such an improvement, you should buy it!

I love the original GRID, a great challenge on EXTREME difficulty.

Solution to install updates :

1) Download and install updates 1.01 through 1.07 like normal.
2) Once the game begins downloading 1.08, cancel the update process and let the game boot up.
3) After the game has done the internal install and you are at the main menu (GT Home), quit the game and download and install 1.08.
4) Once the game begins downloading 1.09, cancel the update process and let the game boot up.
5) After the game has done the internal install and you are at the main menu (GT Home), quit the game and download and install 1.09.
6) Once the game begins downloading 1.10, cancel the update process and let the game boot up.
7) After the game has done the internal install and you are at the main menu (GT Home), quit the game and download and install 1.10.
8) For any additional updates, just keep repeating the process.
