- A fix for online races where lapped cars finish their race the NEXT time they cross the finish line after the leader.

The reason it's like that in real life as it would be dangerous to continue, the cars are at a crawl once they finish, waving to their team etc. A car still racing would plough into them.

Okay, All i want is new Photomode stuff. The Locked locations that you see in the main menu, and Standards in Photomode. And new cars to shoot, so if I get that I'll be happy.

i would like to see some increased online capabilities though.

The ability to form, and run, persistent, online racing series would be great... With event calendars, administrator determined prizes, penalties, standings, participant lists, etc...

^this. Oh, so this! It'd make life so much easier with planning etc.

My Logitech G27 provides plenty of ForceFeedBack.

Plenty is relative. :) I have a G27 too and the level of resistance is 'weak' compared to (1) other racing sims out there (2) real life (3) what the G27 is capable of. I wish it was a bit stronger myself. Even on 10, sometimes it has all the resistance of a wet noodle. But I don't think an update for the G25/G27 is going to happen. Ever.

But it's LIKE that in real life and it should be in the game. When we have endurance races online lasting up to two hours, it can happen that the slowest cars are lapped by the fastest cars. Multiple times. And it doesn't make sense to have a battle between two cars, 1.5 laps past when the lead car crosses the finish line and to try and do it while weaving in between slow moving cars, directly on the racing line, being controlled by the AI. Inevitably, no matter how you set the end of race timer, some cars won't make it to the finish line and the racing will count down to an arbitrary point.

I race with Fanatec RS, the feedback is super weak! Sure it has some strength, but yes, compared to PC sims, its super weak!
But hey Fanatec is not 100% supported but it works!!! as well I can change each button and ETC. So we still have to give kudos twords PD for even making non Official wheels work.

It would be so SWEEEEEET if they could add more circuits

Circuit de Catalunya
Autódromo do Estoril
Istanbul Park
Silverstone Circuit
Yas Marina Circuit

Please Please Please... If not in the updates then as dlc

I rather see more body kits and more tun-ability and a LIVERY EDITOR! , I still maybe mastered 2 circuits to have a nice time on so I do not care if they add more or not.

What they need to do is putPermanent Leaderboards in the game.If they really want to keep people from migrating to Forza4 this feature is what is needed.

100% agree. Staggering that this feature was not shipped. I suspected that it was because of an upcoming physics update, but that seems less and less likely.

I think in race/championship saves should be top priority, followed by increasing the prize money/xp for all events. Everything else can wait.

They do have the PP system now so it wouldn't be hard to set-up the leaderboards.

Now that's off my chest what i really hope is coming in this patch(since Permanent Leaderboards more than likely out of the question)is that we get the race save feature for those long endurance races. That would be a good feature as many people will finally be able to finish these races.

I know there's a lot of demand for leaderboards, but I would wait till June 1st before I expect those.

Why?

Prologue ends the day before, and they'll probably use those servers for that.

I wish for online seasonal events! Like GT5 Prologue, no idiot host, just racing on full servers over and over again.

I wish they'd add those servers to GT5. I would like it if they had rooms hosted by both players and GT5 servers. I don't see why they couldn't

So you want to take away the "free" options we have to host OUR own rooms, and do what ever WE want. Strange...hope they dont ruin the online system like they did in forza 3, with dedicated servers.

I strongly disagree...

That would be nice also!!! So many possibilities hahahaha...

I liked the events in Prologue, especially how they divided up the skill levels. When doing Professional events with noobs, I got most of my entertainment by watching the noobs skate from one side of the track to the other in my rear view mirror. Whenever I'd get a noob trying to punt me off, I'd just trail brake at the very last moment, then look behind me for the rest of the turn and try not to laugh to hard so that I don't crash myself.

There were even a few races I did watching nothing BUT my rearview.

Then there were a few races where I simply HAD to put the controller down because my heart was pounding too fast, hands were shaking, and I had a death grip on the DS3.

For some reason, I don't get that with GT5. Having PD developed online events (like Prologue) and the ability to make your own (like now) would be the perfect compromise, but doesn't seem likely since we get the Seasonal Events.

Regardless, after 7 months or so of owning the game, I can finally say that the $100 CE was money well spent. For me, the Special Events have been enough fun to make up for what I miss about Prologue, and even though the game has it's flaws, I'm still having a blast playing it.

OT- anyone gonna be on Prologue when they shut it down? I'm gonna get a few races in just to say thanks and good bye.

Increasing XP/Money takes them 5 minutes to fix, so if that is all then im throwing the game in the garbage just to demonstrate against lazyness...

damn... then good night, thought I can load it in 1-2 hrs...

Before you turn in, check your local gran-turismo.com for your local times. There is the slim chance that your region will get it before we (US) will.

I don't understand why people think if they add matchmaking/online race events, there will be no more Open Lobby. We will have both. Says so in the manual.

But I agree with what he said. Would never waste my time on Open Lobby again if they add online race events like the ones in Prologue or some other form of matchmaking.

What we get is what we get. We all want different things. Even if it's a huge update at least 80% of us would still want more from it.

I have lots of hopes but no expectations at all. Looking forward to it though. They have improved it a lot since launch already.

-Allow us to change wheels on Standard cars. Recycle the wheels from GT4 if you have to!
-Allow us to change the wheels on the Ferrari F430 '06 and Mercedes 300SL Coupe '54.

That's all I want, and it's not that hard to program some aftermarket wheels into GT Auto for those cars!
