No Endurance saves..Pd still king of the energy wasters, you would think a company from Japan would put energy saving as a high priority, but oh no make the users have to race 24hrs in 1 go of which a vast majority will have that paused for up 10 while they sleep, eat etc. 10 hours of needless energy consumption. Pd win the award of Best game of the year in the environmental damage category good game but shame on them they had a chance to make good and blew it.

I turned off the PS3 and power cycled the router. I'm hard wired in. This corrected the issue for me. I also read some where to hard code your ISP's primary and secondary DNS servers into you PS3 network settings.

I don't think anyone realistically expects that.
I think what has caused the "ruckus" is that Polyphony are obviously working on the game, but rather than update whats needed, they add.............. helmets.

Has this update done something weird to the game?
I just did the Supercar Festival in the seasonals with a Veyron. The last time I did this before the update, I was on the verge of lapping the last three cars by the 5th lap.
This time, I am at the 5th lap and I am fighting to keep in first place. I have checked other events, and it is the same story - where I would be leading with 10 to 15 seconds, I am now just in front.

How do you win the seasonal event with the Fiat?! I had everything set to the regulations and raced very clean and I still came in 4th place..
I took a Veyron onto the Top Gear track, before the update I was able to take the corners well, now the car slides around corners on racing softs - this did not happen before.
In a straight drag with ABS and brakes set to 10, I was able to brake before hitting the walls by using both brake and hand-brake - now, I slam into the walls.
At one end of the drag strip there are painted lines like a zebra crossing, just before this is where I start to brake hard and I used to be able to pull up before hitting, or tapping the wall. Now, brake and handbrake equals a significant spin and crumpled bumpers.

You were being rude the entire time, so that's hardly patronizing. Patronization is when you're nice to someone in a way that demonstrates you think you're better than they are. I've noticed that despite your need to correct the punctuation of others, you make a few mistakes yourself. I don't think you realize how this comes across.
Anyway, while I do agree with your on-topic point, that you seem to have left a few pages behind, I don't see much reason to be a troll about it. It's just a game. Yes, the update is fine, and people complain too much. Don't let it get under your skin, though.

Great update!
The AI drives faster overall (although still gets goofy when you're trying to overtake them) and the new feature where you can actually buy parts in the setup section is amazing. Amazing, no more exiting and reentering lobbies online just to buy a set of tires!
