I'd like to know why PD went with the E92 and not the M5. Also, why not the 2002 turbo(could be a case of them modelling a tii this time, but still).

Rain is already in GT Sport. I don’t know about the framerate and how advanced the physics are.

Kaz said dynamic weather was not happening, but set conditions?

At least static weather on original tracks is what we should have by now.

(Of course, what I really want is rain weather on Interlagos, but having rain on original tracks should suffice until they get their **** together)

Even though rain is in the game, I don't think Kaz thinks it's good enough for racing gameplay. There should be much more water droplets on the windshield and the rest of the car, the tires sound like they are on a dry surface, and you should be able to here the rain in 3rd person hitting the ground.

Like any update, I hope, however, more than anything else... Despite its version made by Amuse is at stake, never stop dreaming, right?

One of the best cars ever designed and made. Every time I see one I say to myself: This looks like a (insert current year) model.

For sure one of my all time favorites. :)

I think a large portion is making it act realistically with the physics too.

Anyone who’s ever done a track day or raced in the rain knows how complex it is.

Considering how motorsports oriented it is, PD would have to nail a lot of unique features I believe.

For one, the “dry line” is actually the most slippery part of the track in heavy rain, if the track is rubbered in.

If they planned on making it dynamic, then it would also need to gain water/puddle, and dry in a realistic manner. Certain parts can be dry while others are wet.

I would assume they want some sort of dynamic system. Otherwise, what’s the point of intermediates AND wets?

If just static, then there is still a lot of complex stuff happening in rain that I have yet to see any game nail. Tire temp, tire wear, things like that, all need to be much more refined than in any past GT game.

If it’s essentially just a grip multiplier modification like in past GT games, I would rather not see it at all.

Well, Project Cars has been able to do it...

PCARS is pretty good at it, but it’s hard for me to take advantage of it since I don’t have a wheel for the XB1/PS4, and (I know people will go to the ends of the earth to argue what i’m about to say, but it’s my opinion and experience so deal with it) PCARS is terrible on a controller, especially compared to how good games like Forza and GT are straight out of the box with a controller.

In addition, if what wheel owners say is true, and PCARS really IS that good with wet weather physics (which I do not doubt at all) then maybe that’s all the more reason why Kaz is apprehensive to release any wet weather if he knows it won’t stack up to another game aimed at the sim/esports crowd.

PC2 is great with rain. It’s unfortunately a pain to set your FFB correctly.

So no rain in 1.31 but plenty of new content. GTS just feels like GT-PS5 being fleshed out slowly before 2020

Wait, so are we for sure that rain isn’t coming this update?

If Kaz is quoted hinting at the non inclusion of it, it’s unlikely it will. But... he said the same thing about single seaters in GTS...
Oh, he was quoted saying that? Did I miss an interview or something?

Top left and bottom left are new...

Looks like the Pontiac Firebird Trans Am '78 and... sigh... the Tesla Model S '12.

I'm interested to see how that Model S Signature Performance '12 is classed. Either the i3 treatment aka Gr.X or N-class.

I thing the car selection is random but we need anyone of them in any order.

where is my Clio RS 220 EDC Trophy 2017???
Nah where is my BMW M6 GT3 (Rowe Racing Livery?????)

Wait.....that's it? THAT'S IT?! Only 7 cars?!

Talk about disappointing yikes
Saying "only" is quite unfair imo.

Ah ***** the Tesla is going to end up in GR.X.

I think seven new cars is much better than only five

6/7 of this silhouette has been identified

so let's start thinking about the last one (bottom left)

it seems to be some modern big coupe with some vents in the hood, grille between headlights, and sporty looking front bumper...
windshield/roof/rearend shape looks like late 90's trans-am/camaro, but frontend tells it's something else.

something totally new maybe?
