"In the end, there will be around 4 to 5 hundred cars"

That is an estimate with a 100 car room for error. At this rate it is looking more likely to be closer to 400 than 500, as we have gone from 168-271 cars in roughly the first year. At the same rate we will have about 374 cars a year on, which is close to 400.

That makes me think this game has another year of limelight, bigger and better FIA championships and Formula E added, regular updates, and then the next GT game will appear as news.
They may drag it into a third year...

The Audi TT Cup is there because at the time, there was no Audi R8 GT4. Likewise, we have a less then Steller SLS GR.4 because there was No Mercedes AMG GT4 at the time.
I guess Z4 GT3 and SLS AMG GT3 is still present in GT SPORT for almost the same reason.

Wasn't M6 GT3 and AMG GT GT3 in the game at debut? M Power M6 came after?

M6 GT3 Walkenhorst was confirmed in the video "MADE FROM REALITY" on August 15th 2016, and M6 GT3 M Power and AMG GT3 were confirmed in screenshots and PSX trailer on December 3rd 2016.
Ah, okay. So, PD didn't need to add the Z4 and SLS. Since the game dropped in 2017. That's what I thought.

Pretty much all the current Gr.4 cars, didn't have official manufacturer GT4 machines. I think only Maserati, Ginetta, Lotus, Aston Martin and Porsche had official GT4 cars. We'll see if that changes from this year.

Does someone expect the addition of Cizeta V16T?

I'm not joking, this car had become a Premium Car in GT6, and now GTS has classic cars which became Premium in GT6.
This V16T has a strong possibility of addition in GTS.

Imho It Will surely come This year.
PD is also adding manufacturers in their last updates, so i believe that we'll have Cizeta Moroder soon.

A couple of events this month:
- Monte Carlo Rally
- Dakar Rally
- Tokyo Auto Salon
- RoC in Mexico
- Daytona 24h

Because it's Monte Carlo Rally this month, what nice way would it be to include a Monte Carlo Rally winner in the game. I think it could well just be:
- Rover Mini Cooper 1275S Mk1 Gr.B '67

The thing is Toyota Gazoo Racing will present a concept of the Toyota Supra in SuperGT class GT500 this month at the Tokyo Auto Salon. So let's say if it comes in the game, would it be Gr.X or Gr.2?
- Toyota Gazoo Racing Supra GT500 Vision Gr.2 '19?

The Dakar rally also starts this month. Wouldn't be surprised if this month's update includes a Rally Raid kind of car:
- Mitsubishi PAJERO Evolution Rally Raid Car '03
- Mitsubishi PAJERO Rally Raid Car '85

It's also RoC in Mexico this month where all champions come together in a stadium format knock out phase. Since we had those missions in GT Sport within the Northern Isle infield, I think could set the venue for a RoC type of circuit within the stadium. It would mean we could set a new kind of race besides normal and endurance race online:
- Northern Isle Infield Super Special

It's also Daytona 24h this month. It could be celebrated with a premier in the game:
- Chip Ganassi Racing Ford GT GTE-Pro Gr.3 '17

Just as mentioned before, a SEMA winner will be included. Thus:
- Phil Robles' Honda Civic EX '92

I feel that we are expecting another Gr.1 car. I don't think it's going to be an Audi, but it will be something else.

Thus, I think there will be 9 new cars, seperated over 2 updates:

3 new cars in a Toyota Supra special update:
- Toyota Gazoo Racing Supra GT500 Vision Gr.2 '19
- Toyota Castrol Tom's Supra GT500 Gr.2 '97
- Toyota Supra N300 '19

6 new cars + 1 track and new online race mode:
- Rover Mini Cooper 1275S Mk1 Gr.B '67
- Mitsubishi PAJERO Rally Raid Car Gr.B '85
- Chip Ganassi Racing Ford GT GTE-Pro Gr.3 '17
- Peugeot 905 Evo 1B Gr.1 '93
- Phil Robles' Honda Civic EX '92
- Nissan Silvia spec-R AERO (S15) N200 '99

- Northern Isle Infield Super Special
+ Head-to-Head race mode (for example 16 players drafted to 1vs1 knock out races until 2 players remain for the final)

It seems intriguing but would they ever push through all of these once it comes out? I'd be amazed if they did.

Meh wayyyy to many new cars in an update. There are around 1 to 2 new cars in each update. And by “new” I mean new cars to the series and standards that have been remodeled into a premium.

- Toyota Gazoo Racing Supra GT500 Vision Gr.2 '19?
You know, this would make a lot of sense.
- Mitsubishi PAJERO Rally Raid Car '85
same for this (except that the pajero rally raid car is poor on the horsepower iirc, can't fit the "Gr B" criteria)
- Northern Isle Infield Super Special
Doubt it, imho the've been holding back this one for the lack of rain. I wound't be surprised if they put this as a new track as they release climate effects
- Chip Ganassi Racing Ford GT GTE-Pro Gr.3 '17
Hah, if only. The fact they put the old Ford GT from GT4 inspires little hope on this
+ Head-to-Head race mode (for example 16 players drafted to 1vs1 knock out races until 2 players remain for the final)
It's funny you say this, i recently realized that what GTS really lacks is more options. A make do single player wasn't necessary if only they would let the players play the game as we wanted. ( custom classes, multi class race, pitstops duration etc etc) Thus the persistent quest for updates would end.

I’m skeptical about the new content coming in 2019. One way is invest on the new gen of racing cars and put a lot of new GT3 and GT4 cars for the upcomings 2019 championships, the other one is continuing convert the best and more significant cars from the past GT games to have a huge range of brands and cars.

I think the Polyphony Digital team and studio's are concetrating to this RTRT real time ray tracing, and also in these days opened a new studio in japan, so we knew that is a sign, that PD is truly working on the next gran turismo, but they aren't concetrated to GT sport, or maybe this new studio will be concetrated only on GT sport (supervisioned by kaz obviously) and the rest ones are concetrated to this next GT game

That doesn't seem to be something for even the next Playstation, so that seems unlikely.
and also in these days opened a new studio in japan
No, it didn't. The studio everyone's talking about opened more than three years ago.

Once again, this thread is for speculating (that is "reasoning based on evidence") on what content you think might come to this update, not what you hope will come, not what you want will come, not what you wouldn't mind coming and not any other random topic that takes your fancy. Speculation on content in the next update.

We'd probably expect the addition of all Premium cars from GT6... Well, most of them anyway.

I find it annoying and disappoing that (so far) we’ve been receiving many of the premium CARS, from GT6, yet next to none of the ‘premium’ TRACKS fromm GT6 (even those that came as DLC) have shown up.

I barely got to experience the new Midfield Raceway, and the revamped Apricot Hill was a fantastic track for circuit racing!

We’ve also yet to see the return of Zahara; for a track that seems to have (I would assume, based on size) taken so much time to make, and which was likely held back due to system limitations, I think it’s odd that it was just trashed. Maybe because it isn’t as good for racing?

(I’m not trying to make this into a wishlist, I’m just simply noting how it’s odd that we’ve clearly received premium car assets from GT6 but very few premium track assets from the same game, barring Red Bull Ring maybe).

We got Bathurst from GT6.

It's hard to speculate with circuits. If we were getting three each update, depending how PD packaged them, we might be able to narrow some down. PD are too unpredictable with track offerings, to have a guess which track would come next,
