I'm not sure whether it could be said "confirmed" or not, but he suggested.
At least he didn't declare like "It won't be coming."
I don't understand that, because it means that vehicles like the Bentley Continental GT3 and Cadillac ATSV.R may not appear...

My predictions are 1 track, some cars and a lot of whining.

Literally..

We know what "Soon" means to PD. "Time" could mean, from now to your first grand kids.
I think he's just saying at this stage of GT Sport's shelf life. There are the GT-R, Aston Martins, 488, 720S, etc. Those probably have priority over Bentley and others.

They probably are going to come. He also didn’t “confirm” that new manufacturers aren’t going in the FIA Roster. He said in the mean time only new real GT3 cars from the current manufacturers are going to be added. Bentley, Infiniti, Maserati etc might come in the late future...

updating about my predictions:
i think PD is forced to add at least a nissan and a ferrari car because for strong partneship reasions, so we can know that in the future updates there will be at least a nissan and a ferrari
The data I collected from previous updates is against your guess. Ferrari and Nissan isn't always in the updates, but they are common choices.

They're probably gonna come out once the game becomes obsolete. That's PD for you. Just my 2 cents. :embarrassed:

I predict 15 cars and 1 track and a new layout for an existing track coming to this or next months GT Sport

You know, after they've added the 2011 BMW GT3 i realized that maybe it's best if they leave some cars alone. That car is so outpaced that maybe it would be best if detuned and used as a GT4 car, really. Now imagine if they'd brought back all the old racing cars just to slap a Gr.3 tag on them.

While I won't rule out the 7-9 car/1 track theme of the last few months, January could very well feature a small update that places emphasis on the upcoming Supra.

Mileage Exchange refreshes on the 8th, so it would line up with an update then to add the new BMW Supra, with it debuting so soon. Tuck it away in the files for a couple days, then unveil it on the 14th.

The M3 GT and R8 LMS Team Pheonix are all GT3 cars. If PD Original Race Cars like the Corvette C6 Z06/ZR1 LM Race Car, Skyline R33/R34 Touring Cars come back, (which I’m sure they will) they would be in Gr.3. And Race Cars like the Acura NSX LM Race Car, RX-7 Touring Car, Lancer Evo.IX Touring Car, Silvia S15 Touring Car, would be in Gr.4. Some LM/Touring Race Cars are too slow like the Cappuccino and Civic Type R EK Touring Car or some would be thrown in Gr.X like the CRZ and Prius Touring Car because they are EVs. Some probably won’t even come like the TVR Tuscan Speed 6 and Lotus Elise Touring Cars because of licensing but, hopefully they figure out all that mess.

I'm guessing if Polyphony really wants to meet their goal of "over 500 cars" they're gonna need to increase production of vehicles coming to the game. We've had an average of, at most, 13 cars, and a minimum of no more than seven cars from the updates, so I guess Polyphony should release more cars than that every month just before then. Who knows how many silhouettes of cars can fit the photos that Kaz would tease every now and then...

As for tracks, Polyphony will definitely surprise everyone, be it new environments and/or layouts. I'm sure along with the "over 500 cars" there would be an abundant number of tracks too.

Someone asked about when the Holiday season ends in Japan. Yesterday. I was just checking out 2019 Super Taikyu season and Fuji Speedway has a notice of the holidays from Dec 25- Jan 6.

We could get a silhouette from Monday, until the Supra GT500 unveil Jan 11. We'll see.

"In the end, there will be around 4 to 5 hundred cars"

That is an estimate with a 100 car room for error. At this rate it is looking more likely to be closer to 400 than 500, as we have gone from 168-271 cars in roughly the first year. At the same rate we will have about 374 cars a year on, which is close to 400.

That makes me think this game has another year of limelight, bigger and better FIA championships and Formula E added, regular updates, and then the next GT game will appear as news.

Lot of eggs in the Toyota Supra basket. Soon to be a hole in it with that metaphorical basket full of eggs.

There are also an offical XBow GT4, M4 GT4, Mustang GT4(Ford Performance haven't updated it to the current nose design) and Camaro GT4. Wonder if PD will decide to update to those.

I think GTS has at least two more years of relevance. PD probably doesn’t want to release GT7 at the end of the PS4 cycle after GT6 arguably made a mistake doing so on PS3, and I can’t see GT7 as a launch title for the next generation.

I don't know about this but is it possible there will be a new intro showcasing the new trophy for the FIA events?

If the last few titles are any indication, I see GTS staying relevant for at least 2 more years. There's usually a gap of a few years between games. GT5 >>> GT6 was 3 years while GT6 >>> GTS was 4 years. The online component, especially with eSports and the FIA partnership playing such pivotal roles, will help keep this game afloat.
