Personally not too bothered with the lack of race cars. We already have enough of them. I'd rather PD focus on balancing the BOP (see this week's race at Sarthe) of the existing cars rather than adding new ones.

What I find odd though is they skipped one year's car each from SEMA and Pebble Beach:

SEMA Award Winners
Pebble Beach Award Winners
Could mean PD are saving them for the next GT? If so there's a good chance they are also keeping a lot other cars close to their chest (aka what we see in GTS is just the tip of the iceberg compared to what's in GT7/8).

It seems to me that PD are starting to get lazy or it has lost its way!

PD has probably never been more productive than they are now if you consider the amount of detail going into this game and its content. The monthly output over the past year has been massive in quality and quantity. Not many developers are this generous and it's all free.

There's little new in these updates lately and more like old contents that were in GT6 or before!

Nearly every update has brought content not seen in Gran Turismo before. This time it's a classic Porsche, some classic Aston Martin? and a Honda Integra going from standard to premium detail level. All returning assets are upgraded for 4K compatibility. Many of the cars from GT6 are classics and forgetting them would simply be a disservice to the loyal community.

Each to their own but you've got the "no handling" bit wrong. Old cars have all of the handling. What they don't have is much in the way of grip. I would rather have a car that slides about a bit, over a car that grips, grips, grips, grips and then throws you at a wall.
Yup. Grip would have been a better word.
Agree too, but I don't prefer it in Sport mode races. Like, I can't fully steer because it will start sliding. So I have to do it a lot smoother and not steer much in wide turns.

It's fun too. I definitely can't deny that.

I know Spa is a long overdue but with the update on January 17, I guess Daytona might be the track... the Rolex 24 hours of Daytona are held on January 26-27.

It would make sense as they did it for the Le Mans race (but not for the Spa 24h last summer, though).

Every single update so far has had at least one returning car from GT6. Not that it's a particularly bad thing - GT6 had a wide variety of cars. (While the amount of Skylines and other Japanese cars was considered a problem it does show differentiation and does show respect for the lesser-known models.)
Yes, it's not a bad thing, but those cars should have been there since the release of the game! The game was closer to a beta than a full game upon release. My point is that the game is headed where it should have started. Yes there's a lot of welcomed additions, but mostly we are getting useless cars (Grx/too expensive /cars should already be in the game )

Should just have a universal speculation thread instead of constantly making new ones.

What would be the point? As Famine and others have to constantly point out, speculation is based upon evidence. All people ever do in these threads is give out wish lists and hopes, not speculate!

Yes and no. If GTS had been delayed another year to add all these cars we'd either still be complaining or there wouldn't be a GTS - it would become vapourware. The game then was heavily focused on racing and now it's become a lot more like a 'normal' GT game. The addition of cars and features after release for free has significantly boosted the game's and PD's reputations, in a world of paid content everywhere. Even when PD did add microtransactions, it was done completely differently than anybody would've expected - the cheaper cars were the only ones you could pay for. Think about it this way though:

'Games as a service' is technically what GTS is, but it isn't. GTS at the start was a complete game. It had the content it needed for what the game was trying to be: an esports-based racing game. Then, players got annoyed by this and we got the 100 extra cars to appeal to players who didn't like the game's content and concept. Some say "They should've played a different game" but many disagree.

GT6 had a really good car list and not including cars in GTS that had been in the game would have been a huge waste. The non-racing cars are good for a GT game, but not this one.

They can choose to have the laziest option possible (Integra DC3 and Shelby GT350 was in GT6). Yet they go out to model its close relative (Integra DC2 and Mustang King Cobra).

That alone deserves some praise on its own. See also NSX Type R 1992 and BRZ 2015.

I don't know why but I have a feeling that future DLCs won't be free anymore, especially if it has more and more content.

One of the best FWD cars in existence.

That's not completely true. Yes wish list are a pain (I don't do these as I know there are areas for this). There's plenty of speculation such as recently the new Supra and previous cars in GT6. Speculation is forming a theory without firm evidence, so why can't there be a thread on it?(without wishlists)

Well no modern racecars again. I could only see a track like Spa or Daytona released with some new Gr.3 vehicles. Classics are ok, but other than that I will be waiting for February's update. Hopefully the track is good.

Some people were hyping up about Daytona. No point in the track if we aint getting any cars for it

I'm really unsure, but the roadster in the second line going down from the top, on the left looks like the XJ13. (Y'know, another 20M car... yay.)

Than don’t come into these threads if you don’t like them. You know what they are so it is your own fault if you don’t like them.

I'm more excited about the 4 classic cars coming in the update.

The 356 is the undisputed star here and will have a nice playmate with the Aston. Plus the Shelby Mustang and the Dino adds the list nicely.

Classic cars are great but with the awful clutch shifting mechanic all the nuance of them is ruined. That's why I'd rsthrrrget more modern cars. I prefer H-Gate but not if it doesn't work

Ooooo yes that is a good package of cars .
Ooo dear 356 .
What will be the new track and why not a silhouette of it like they do with the cars .
