I think there would be some new Nostalgic Car Festival races in Amateur League, if that update includes that many sports classics...

Let’s hope if there would be some nice updates for tracklist also...

So, now we have the silhouettes, time to make a guess on the new GT League events and races.

I am going with a "Sports Car" event in Beginner (for the TVR, A110, etc), new races in Nostalgic Cup Amateur seems inevitable with the 356, Shelby. And maybe new races in the Nostalgic Cup Professional for the new Aston Martin, or the Red Bull X2014 nations cup. A lot depends on the new track I guess.
I hope for better GT League events this time, because the events from December update are bad

I think the DB3S could count as a racecar, however, it probably won't be very effective and would only be used at the 70's grinding event.

Now to the track:
Spa or Daytona?

(Judging by the car selection, it could be Spa.)

I find it funny that for people harping about a game called "Sport", people sure don't seem to want a challenge.

No race cars? Hmm, very disapointing.

    • Personally not interested in old classic cars... Slow, no handling. If there aren't any road cars, super/hyper cars or race cars, then I'm not that interested.
    • {Insert_SPA_comments_here}

No race cars again? Yikes.

No race car :(

But Porsche 356!

Dam no more race again. I hope they bring more race car in the future.

No race car :(

No race car ?! I’ll pass on this one.

There's your race car in this month's DLC

Ford Mustang King Cobra (people say it is a fastback, but i think it is a rarer King Cobra version. Notice the very thick headlight and grill shape and the roof line, pic below for comparison)

latest

I don't see it. The grille is far shorter. It looks more like the Shelby GT350

I'm not sure if everyone realising this, but 356 definitely has a rollcage.

To my surprise, some 356 were actually equipped with rollbars

Well what do you know, we got ourselves a little classic Porsche racer. That would make 2 Race cars in the pack.

I’m sure this will be a fine update for the people who are interested in these cars, but why is every car in the update so old!?

Most of those cars are probably flung into Group X anyways.

Why or how exactly? Did you actually bother looking at them? Have you forgot things like the Corvette C2, Toyota 2000GT and Ford GT40 are N class cars?

My speculation prices:
TVR Tuscan Speed 6 '00 N300 (GT6 Premium) $98.000
BMW Z8 '01 N400 (GT6 Premium) $170.000
Aston Martin DB3S '53 GR.X (New in GT) $10.000.000 - $20.000.000
Ferrari Dino 246 GT '71 N400 (GT6 Premium) $105.000
Nissan Fairlady Z Version S (Z33) '07 N300 (GT6 Premium) $40.000
Porsche 356 B 1600 Super Roadster '60 N100 (New in GT) $1.000.000 - $2.000.000
Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '99 N200 (Standar become Premium) $30.000
Shelby GT350 '65 N300 (GT6 Premium) $60.000

Is nice to see a new Porsche but that model it´s not my taste, again no new GR.1 cars, no huayra, but is ok...more cars for the game.
Well after a long time TVR is in GT again, so this open the possibility for the new Griffit appear in the game at some time?

Maybe the new Supra coming in Febrary update.

Now waiting for which circuit coming too in this update, Real, some old original, new original o more layout for some circuit already in the game.

Quite frankly, GR.1 needs some serious reworking before it actually gets anymore cars.

Really stumps me that people overwhelmingly want more content over fixes like rebalancing said class or the still iffy low-speed grip that still persists (Something that actually affects, you know, Sport Mode)

Like someone said in the past, this game is literally becoming GT ROAD instead of SPORT.
Think for a second about what "sports car" means? Which kind of cars are they introducing in most of the updates? Of course "Sports cars". Should we call the game "GT race"?

I mean I understand all the people who are eager to compete in sport mode in their race cars, but for me road cars are way more fun. I'm not against they would add more GR.3/4/2/1 but Grant Turismo has always been about sports cars/road cars along with race cars and I hope it would always stay like that. You have other games for only "race cars"

Seeing as it’s January and Michael Schumacher’s Birthday on the 3rd and he loves SPA and F1 are paying tribute all week.

It would be fitting if we got SPA. It would be a nice Birthday gift from PD.
Also would love if that Mustang is the 67 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Fastback from 2000 Gone in 60 seconds. That’s my favourite muscle car ever. I don’t think it is but would love if it came to GTS someday.
  :dunce: :D

Not my favourite group of cars. Was rather looking forward to an Alfa 8C or Brera 3.2 JTS Q4 SKY WINDOW, C63 AMG saloon, RS6 Avant, Cizeta V16T, Corvette C6 Z06, TTS or TT Quattro 1st/2nd gen etc. Bloody Z8, crappy Mustang, couple of ricers, two slow classics in the guise of the 356 and Dino. Probably most excited about the Tuscan!

The Aston is a nice addition to be fair. That and the TVR. The others, couldn't really care less. At least it's free which is ace.

i Dont care too much about them new cars hope they finaly fix all those bugs and exploits and update lobbys. a racing game were you cannot set a lobby to 1 make race doesnt make sense to me, lobbys seems to have no priority at PD thats a shame.

That slow dino is faster than that Brera, also faster than a lot of contemporary sportscars and newer sportscars as well. It'll be quite the threat in N200 and above when it comes out.

That's how you know you've never seen them in action

I wonder what he'd think of the Aston Martin DB3S he conviently skipped over.

Anyway, nailed the number of cars in the update, only got the GT350 right though :(

Although, there is the difficult question of whether its the road car or the GT350R. Hard to tell without a clear indication of the bumpers (The usual clue to identify them)

You might want to edit out that bit about ricers, buddy.

Looks like I have two contenders to pique my interest in to grinding for credits at Premium Sports Lounge at Blue Moon Bay, in N200-300 class.

Glad the 356 might be a more competitve and rarer one than in this picture as well. 👍

Knowing PD, they might set the Dino's or 356'es price at like 99.000 Cr., just for the bants
