Well, just tried deleting and re-installing the updates in order to fix my loading screan loop problem and its a no go. Still have the same problem. Thanks alot PD for destroying my game-save. Everything was fine before....and now this. What a piece of crap.

It is happening to a person I know. It turned out to be a corrupted file.

He ended up resetting ps3 to default after backing up his save data. That worked

Holy Hell! How is this possible!? :scared:

:grumpy::grumpy::grumpy:

Yeah, I'm definitely betting PD is gonna release another update within the next 2 weeks that will either:

A) bring the "Real" PP Fix they meant, or
B) bring the PP calculations back to what it was before the 2.10 update

If this is a glitch, where they correct this in the next update, I demand chrome paint chips from PD. After updating my Camaros to 500pp for this update I had to buy all the motor upgrades to make 500pp. If this is a glitch my cars cant be used at 500pp if they correct this in the next patch after all the motor upgrades.

It took a very long time finding the cars I wanted to build for 500pp in the used car section in the vast sea of Skylines. Alot of fans are going to be upset after buying motor upgrades for the new 500pp only to have another patch that corrects 2.10.

Looks like PD really messed alot of things up with this last update. This has got to be the biggest mess yet. Hope they come up with an update to fix all this crap.

I saw pp was updated and thought: good.
It was rubbish at balancing cars from different eras, and there were always stand out cars, and weird valuations.

Not sure this is the update I was hoping for, but at least we know they don't consider it accurate either.

Hey guys

Reading through I read some are having the issue involving the (gt loading screen). I have this happen after most all of the updates.

How I fix this?
I hit the PS button>quit game. Then I go to my time and date settings and reset the time and date. It seems to work every time.👍

Please give it a try. If it works for you too, let me know.:)

Thanks all.

Nice information sir, I will be sure to this

I'm not sure this is the press Chevrolet was hoping for after releasing the new Corvette for us to use for free. Of course they and PD didn't do themselves any favors by making the car unpaintable/untunable. But still, the Corvette is hardly a blip on the radar compared to the PP fiasco that is unfolding.

Same for me looping the saving data and main screen, will try solutions later my own damn fault for updating during a 24hr race, soon as I hit X was like no no no NO!!! Serves me right I guess

Yep, and I can confirm that he is :)

Nice to have a sound update! Although it's pretty good to be able to play GT5 without disturbing the neighbours, a little more growl wouldn't hurt (generally speaking, I haven't heard the new HSV sound yet).

Could very well be. Although realism is hard to define, I believe that the current sounds are pretty realistic already. But as with anything else, realism can be done in a pale and smooth version, or in a more rough and exciting version. It's the latter that people are requesting.

I figured PD have an opportunity if they want to test upgraded sounds in gt5 to develop gt6 to get our reaction.
Kind of like research while showing they are trying to improve GT5.

Don't think our opinions are that valuable. We don't know why they changed the sound, nor why the sound wasn't good the first time.

True but you would be surprised the lengths companies will go to test something with the public.

Besides my comment is more of a what if situation.

It now sounds like a motor bike inside and god only knows what from the outside lol. If ever anyone needed proof that PD make there own engine noises farther than record them its this.

Hi all,
I've just seen all the comments about many cars changing PP with the 2.10 update, the is a note included that there was a change to improve the calculation.

Our league runs a few classes, 500pp 4-door, 587pp exotics, 590pp Japanese GT cars, and 650pp car cars.
take our 500pp class as an example the racing was very close.

Just wondering how others have found the change in relation to leagues, especially interested in how the level of competition has changed.

Cheers
Evan

Merged with update 2.10 thread as that's pretty much all that's being discussed.

what about 550 pp? is the list of "cheat" cars increased or some good sense and balance have reached that type of room ?

I tried a few cars out in an online room. I can't remember all of them, but when I tried the Mercedes SL 600, making around 850hp at 550PP (with a ridiculous 114kgfm of torque), it left pretty much all of the previous 550PP kings wondering what the hell happened, providing it's at least a mid speed track.

A pattern that I'm noticing is that cars with high, but short peaky powerbands seem to have benefitted a lot from this new PP system. It could just be pure coincidence though. Muscle cars seem to be doing much better out of it though, and I think you could make some very fast 450PP cars out of them.

Here's another 500PP car that will make your eyes water. More powerful than the Supra, about 60HP less than the Carlton, but 100KG lighter than both. Don't even get me started on the Speed 12, you can have around 1000HP PER TON and still keep it around 540PP, if you wanted to run low aero.

Looks like they fixed some cars and broke others. Typical.

Hopefully they will log the worst mistakes and release a patch for them soon-ish. I guess at the very least it changes things up regarding which cars are virtually useless and which cars are banned/discouraged.

Another thing I've noticed is that weight and weight distribution seem to play a bigger part than before in the PP calculation. I suppose PD are trying to justify some of these horsepower numbers by the fact that the cars aren't hugely driveable. But then, who needs a perfectly driveable car when you have 400-500HP more than other cars in the same PP range.

Here's a few muscle cars and the benefit that they've reaped out of this new system. The last one is a beauty! :ouch:
You could actually add a surprising amount of extra horsepower to these if you're willing to start shifting ballast to the front.

I Think we should give the new pp system alittle more time, before we can say if its corrupted or not.

Does changing the downforce change the pp at same rate as before?
and how does ballast effect the pp with this new system?

I would like to see some laptimes on various cars on various tracks. Tsukuba, Nurb GP and Le Mans. in my book you cant just compare laptimes on one track to find the better car. will start testin myself as soon as i fixed the heater in my car, its freezing here so guess that alittle more important then playing GT5

Looking at this, I can't make heads or tails of what exactly the PP system is supposed to do now. Perhaps you can make the argument that now it prioritizes handling whereas before it gave more weight to power, but...

The Buick actually always handled pretty decent (as it should, being a tube-framed car with modern suspension and tires). I don't get it.

Good 🤬 Lord. Whatever they did with the update... I joined a 500pp room in the Toyota Supra '88 (the premium one.) I was ahead by twelve seconds entering the final straight on the Nurburgring, when beforehand I was running at the back.

The fact that you can get the Carlton to an absurd power number at 500pp means that my collection of over 25 might be in high demand...

I haven't seen anything to suggest that it isn't. Before there was usually a ringer in each PP range, but now nearly any car you can add tons of horsepower to is going to be a ringer. Looking at this, the fairly decent balance that the GT500 and DTM cars had is obliterated. There is a two hundred horsepower spread in some of the cars in that list and they are still down 20+ PP, and some of the DTM cars already handled better than some of the JGTC cars.

They've changed my PP again? Why? I'll admit it wasn't perfect to start with but I still mostly liked my PP as it was.
Now looking at my PP I'm confused, can't make heads or tails of it right now.
