It’s certainly been a long-running saga

I think the term you are looking for is "Meme".

I was recently watching Jimmy Broadbent's GT4 stream highlights where he was racing toe to toe with Mercedes SLR driving tuned Fiat Panda. You wouldn't be able to do the same if these two cars were in GT Sport due to inferior upgrade/tuning system.

Except that's it: There simply is NO upgrade system (At least, I refuse to refer to it as that). Let's call it what it actually is: A lazy power booster, might as well have your scouter equipped so you can look at your car's power level.

And the most 🤬 part is you can't go back to the original specs prior to the upgrade forcing you to buy the same car at least twice
thats "fine" with the cheaper cars but on cars costing more than a million credits well....

It doesn't have the Tundra, but GT Sport does. Also don't knock it until you've tried it:

This was a lot more fun for us than Gr.3 cars. It might not be fun for you, but then we don't want the game to not have cars you do find fun.
that's just your opinion

Yep. not biggest deal if the dailies have granted you a crap ton of that particular car (Especially if you're in a league that for some reason has to use that godawful system for their own BOP). Sucks if its the only one of that car you have.

That's what it is. As someone with first hand experience this year just for a league race, I now have a MK IV that I can't ever revert to stock (Nevermind the other specs, including the tires, making the car drive less like a car and more like a Peterbilt truck).

Thats why i never tuned any car besides my N300 griding GT40

Even aside from the cars/track, I'm looking forward to all the other stuff the updates usually add, too, like the GT League rounds, or the QoL/UX updates. Isn't the new Michelin tire model meant to be integrated this update? Maybe since the Spec II retail game was released, this update will mark the game's jump straight to v2.0, a bit like how GT5 did it. It'd make sense to jump to v2.0 if the new tire model is really coming this update - plus, this'd mark the addition of Spa, which is indeed featured in the Spec II opening video. (Hopefully, we'll also be able to pick PD-made liveries, like the Michelin livery used on that NSX Gr.3, the liveries used by the AI in GT League, the liveries seen on the Red Bull cars, the Fittipaldi EF7, and the Zonda R in the World Tour Nations Cup races, or those hypebeast brand liveries.)

The thing is, the power/weight booster thing makes BOPing the Gr. class cars very easy. But applying it to all cars simply ruined the tuning scene in GTS imo

Now the US$1 million question is: will we receive Spa's wet conditions on this update???

IMO we'll probably only get a "dry Spa" next week. Wet conditions are probably gonna be saved for November's update. But if we indeed get both next week, it'd be wonderful news! I'd definitely excuse PD for those 2 extra months of waiting

So much money passed around by Kazunori, Michelin, Lewis Hamilton, track licensing, car licensing etc- none of the competitors get paid. Igor Fraga got ZERO for winning championship while fortnite players get paid MILLIONS. WTF Kazunori and Sony???

Fortnite has dozen of million players competing online, GT Sport only has about a dozen thousands. Over 80% of GT players didn't even race online once. This is not a fair comparison. GT Sport is still taking baby steps on the e-sports, they need more time.
