So GT Sport is a giant expensive scam then? Because the quality of the youtube broadcasts is a lot higher than a bunch of amateurs playing for giggles. Really sad that people have no problem with the competitors getting ZERO money when how much money do you think Lewis Hamilton, Spa Francorchamps, Ferrari, Mercedes, Porsche, BMW all asked to be paid by Kazunori and Sony? Its much easier to exploit a broke teenager to work for free than to exploit Ferrari or Spa Francorchamps for free. EXPLOITATION is the key word.
I realize that this is making the thread go way off topic so I'll keep it short.

As someone who has competed in the Gran Turismo FIA events last year, it doesn't bother me in the slightest that we don't get paid a dime. The experience of being able to see my friends who I've raced against online for many years in person while traveling to all these amazing places around the world is absolutely priceless. I wouldn't trade any of the memories I've made last year over getting paid.

Maybe I'm just weird that I don't care about money, but that's just my opinion on the matter.

So much money passed around by Kazunori, Michelin, Lewis Hamilton, track licensing, car licensing etc- none of the competitors get paid. Igor Fraga got ZERO for winning championship while fortnite players get paid MILLIONS. WTF Kazunori and Sony???

How do you know so much money is being passed around? Lewis Hamilton being ambassador to wear a logo on his hat during F1 interviews is hardly major money passed around. Comparatively to that of Monster, Red Bull, Telecommunication giants or major Sports Teams giving sponsorship to League, Dota, Starcraft, or Overwatch to put on a world tournament with giant pots of money.

I'm very excited for the 300SEL race car. It was one of those cars that I'd never thought I'd see in a GT game. Now all that matters is price. I think it's probably going to be around the 3-5 million range, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was 10+

I seem to notice when it comes to the classic cars, the late 60s and further back for the most part seem to be the most pricey (Look no further then the 3 20 mil. Cars, as well as the Cobra and 250 GTO). I am thinking this will be somewhere in the more easily attainable 1-3 Million credit range.

Just curious, how do you pay your bills, tuition, car, airplane tickets, and rent if you don't care about money?

Are you saying the best sim racers in the world SHOULDN'T be paid ?

"Worlds Fastest Gamer" is paying a $1 Million prize pool and I'm pretty sure they don't make nearly as much money as Sony does.

I'm sure Lebron James and Lewis Hamilton would still be competing if the NBA and F1 didn't exist, but Sony made $77 Billion last year. I think Sony cares about money even if you don't. But that's why sony makes $77 Billion a year, and you made no money from Gran Turismo sport.

What does any of this (especially the nonsense about WFG; there is no cash prize pool) have to do with this game update? Pack it in.

In Japan "A local law prohibits game developers to hold competitions with a prize pool. It would be illegal for the game developers to entice users to buy their games with prize money offerings."

The logic behind it, "Let’s say a company were to come out with a game that costs ¥10,000 and hold a game tournament to promote its sales. If the top prize was set at ¥100,000, that would be construed as inappropriate sales promotion because it would move many people to buy the product in order to go for the prize money."

I wouldn't be surprised if the AMG is over the GT40's 2.8mil. I'd say 3.2mil. Probably not as high as the Sting Ray Concept(5mil).

Well, anyway, looking forward to "B-Spec" racing again

Oh god please no i haven't played since july and i have to grind for all the others first :nervous: .

Yeah i feel the argument is going nowhere.

On the other hand, Spa with rain hopefully comes in next update. It would make a good Spa trailer video
Finally, with an exact release date, I suppose. So some people here won't have to argue about it anymore.

I have a feeling we may not get rainy Spa initially, given the dry track still needed touch ups after the last couple live events. No idea what the workflow process is to get a track’s rain variant ready though. Would love to be wrong, but if I’m not, maybe dry Spa+Tokyo South wet variant this month?

I have a feeling that we'll only get dry Spa this month, no other wet variants of any track. I'd love to be wrong though.

After all the time that has passed since the first public showing of Spa, I would be surprised if PD didn't also manage to squeeze in a few rain variations while performing regular quality control on the track. Maybe rain is part of the reason why it has taken a while to finally add it, but I obviously have no idea.

Too bad for people who would want try out the recent cars with wet weather in Spa if it's limited to being dry.

I read it that it was delayed too for quality control.

Afterall if PD did something wrong you have people with eagle eyes that can point at a glitch or an inaccuracy with the track itself.
