Thanks. I just hope it won't be too long before it gets approved. I think the reviewer needs to consult another reviewer because I explained where those images came from. That takes some more time (I received an email from them explaining this).

I just wait for a few more days and already have a backup ready without images, just in case.
 
Androids a rather dead format to too be honest. iOS always seems to be the easiest way and cheapest way to get a new software idea internationally quickly and far easier. Again my opinion. But iOS Apps are far more manageable and popular worldwide than Android.

This looks really awesome! 👍 I will deffinently download this. One other feature that would be great for this app would be that you could watch replays! Not sure if that's possible.

Side note: another app we should have is an app that you can do remote races from your mobile device. I tried this once but it wouldn't work, so an app would be nice if it's possible.

You could not be more wrong. It's nothing to do with opinion, it's a cold hard FACT that Android is more popular than iOS.

Also Android apps don't require weeks of vetting by Google before they're on the marketplace so how do you come to the conclusion that "iOS always seems to be the easiest way and cheapest way to get a new software idea internationally quickly and far easier"?

I don't know if I can agree with you, never having used an iThing (except an ancient 2GB iPod).

I really have to agree with the post by SimonK. The approval process is a disaster. The last time, it was rejected again so I just removed all the banners that was shown with each event and resubmitted from scratch in order to get a new reviewer. When the app reached review time it was approved within half an hour.

The original reviewer was either extremely insecure or an Forza fan. Can't explain it otherwise.

Anyway, I will try to make an update with some banners enabled. I'm also looking into the events from different regions, so you could see the Asian events for example. Any comments are welcome!

Downloaded it and it works great! But when I tried to sign in I put in the wrong password and can sign in again. :( any suggestions?

EDIT: never mind. Got signed in but not seeing my or any of my friends ranks. :confused:

Go to your iPhone settings where you can re-enter your password. When you go back to the app you will see your rankings and your friends (if you have any).

Hope that helps.

The app requires iOS 4.0 or higher. According to the MacTracker app, the 2nd generation iPod touch can be upgraded until iOS 4.2.1, so maybe you could try an upgrade?

Good to hear that it works now (and thanks to Toyinster for being so helpful while I was asleep :)). If anyone has any problems logging in it can help to log in on playstation.com using a web browser. Sometimes Sony has updated the PSN agreements and requires you to accept. This isn't very clear if you don't log in often on PSN websites.

Hmm, I keep getting told I have to update iTunes, but no iPod updates. I'll update my iTunes and check afterwards see what happens. 👍

Edit: Just had a look, got it updated to 4.2.1. :confused:

Yeah, you have to keep iTunes up to date as well. At least we can update devices wireless since iOS5, so it's getting better.

The app does not appear if I search 'GT5' but if I search 'Gran Turismo' it does. I was searching for it to write a review. Well done on the fantastic app. I appreciate all your hard work.

I would like to know the answer you had in mind :D

I had a good look this evening and it's quite doable to include GT Academy! PD has setup the academy event in such a way that they re-use a lot of the existing events. This means I can re-use a lot of my stuff too :)

I made a setup where the first seasonal event in the list is the academy event . When you select this event a long list of all the events of the 8 different rounds will appear. Each one will lead to its own time trial ranking screen where you see the usual details. The rankings look the same as with the regular seasonal time trials with all the details filled in and not only the name and time.

I have to tidy up everything and think about submitting an update to Apple this weekend.
 
You should tweet Kaz and let him know. He might give you a free Double Stripe suit for all your efforts. :)
