If you're using sarcasm, then why make accusations about facts you don't know?
...//...
Why on earth is this like the ONLY forum where the members and even Mods are so uptight? Srsly its the internet, relaxzor.

I see only one person calling everyone morons, noobs and uptight, then telling everyone else to 'relaxzor' - whatever that means.

It's a hotfix for the bug not a real update patch you morons.

Just a guy being a noob. There isn't a patch out. Don't need to log out of the game even to know that...

Exactly, get used to it it's the internet. It's like a 20 year old guy irl walking up to his mum saying "Mummy he called me a noob waaahhhh"

Obviously, no game should include glitches, no matter who makes the game. That's why it's more obvious for PD to fix this rather than some smoke tyre pixelling that no one notices - except from those who just needs something to point at.

Theres probably noobs out there now doing donuts on every track to see if theres a glitch :sly: anything to complete a game quicker ...
Theyre the kind of people that go round saying "yeah I completed _______ in like 2 days it was well easy" (with the cheats and glitches used)

I hope I have enough time to get home and do some last-minute glitching. My $8 million isn’t going to last me and my old habits from GT4 GameShark. :P

For me, it’s about becoming a better racer. I don’t want an RPG game. I want to have the money to experiment with new cars and new car builds. Sigh.

You have about an hour before PSN shuts down for the day for maintenance.

👍👍 well said mate

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF, That's it, Really ?
They couldn't of thrown in that Garage demo screen as a photo location ?
Well atleast i got the cars i wanted already.

Due to the online nature of games nowadays glitches can be patched so there will always be a cat and mouse situation where glitches are concerned.
I don't get why this has come as a surprise to anyone (especially after v1.07) and also why you would moan that a fault in the game has been fixed? you used it to your advantage and got a few million extra credits. Now the error's been fixed be thankful for the credits and move on.

Unfortunately it doesn't fix the bigger fault that is the fact that there's not enough races or prize money to earn enough credits to buy the cars in the game. If that was sorted then no-one would need to go and look for a hole in the wall in the first place. That's the real issue here and it's the one that needs addressing.

Until these 'cheats' appeared I never realised so many self-righteous d**** were on the internet, getting all worked up about the amount of virtual money people have.

I applaud anyone who used this 'cheat' to buy the cars they wanted to buy and spent their time, not grinding, but driving the tracks they love.

Anyone that draws any comparisons between GT5 behaviour/morality and the real world needs a reality check (and also should never buy a FPS in case they have to kill anybody). Would I hand in a wallet dropped on the floor in a shop? Yes. Would I 'cheat' to earn money in a game? Yes. Once is a infinitely more true marker of my character than the other.

I call shenanigans on this whole thing.

It's still possible to breakout of the track and do the stupid glitch since I just tried it in my lounge in free run.

It is ONLY ONE example.I cannot be bothered to argue with you because the fact of the matter is they have had plenty of time to fix these problems (and the pixellated smoke and this glitch) since the game came out.Fact is GT5 has glaring deficiencies affecting normal gameplay (that most of us encounter more often) that should be fixed whether you choose to admit it or not.:dunce:

It's a small patch, they'll just rename what they've been doing as 1.09:)

That's usually why patch formats for games are usually displayed by (example): 3.06.3

First 3 represents major expansions etc, however in GT5 it will stay at 1. 06 represents the major patches such as the ones we receive in GT5 every month or so. The last 3 is minor quickfix patches such as the SS7 one.

This. +1
The Dude's right. I did it a couple times, I bought a Lancia Delta with the money and full upgraded it. It's a blast to drive and I've bought other cars, Audi R10, SuperGT's. These cars are no different from the cars anyone else drove aorudn Indy 5 Hours for.
We're just the smarter ones for taking advantage of what was there.

Yep,another one of the issues GT5 has.I would have never got my 330 P4 without trading.Im very careful over how I spend and still havent got to 10 million yet.

I have posted this before but it's worth saying it again

At the beginning ranking up was quicker and so it didn't take long to unlock the next event to race in. Now that people are higher in levels it takes quite a lot of time to unlock the next race event by having to constantly repeat the same few events that have already been completed.

I have found myself recently not playing the game for racing (because I find doing the same completed events over and over boring) but to level up enough to unlock the next event to race in

In previous Gran Turismo's the license tests and the cost of the car to compete I found to be enough of a barrier and was actually realistic. If I couldn't complete the test, I couldn't do the races that you had to have that license for, which kept my interest as I had a challenge. Now I have to level up to race in a new event by driving an X2010 around an oval over and over, hardly a challenge and hardly fun, but I am forced to do so so that I have a fresh event to race in and new cars to win.

Surely I should be spending more time actually having fun participating in new races and events instead of simply trying to level up? Which is why I think people exploited this bug.

I hope in future Gran Turismo games they go back to license tests and more events because using the levelling system the game is no fun when you are at the higher levels.

I think it was a right decision from PD. But i agree with the fact that there is a lack of races or prize money to earn enough credits to buy the cars in the game.

Dammit, I wish I didn't have to quit GT5 when I knew the update was coming. I was too busy glitching but I quit just to do some duping. Great, thank you PD for ruining GT5 even more. I swear I will be playing NFS Shift 2 once it comes out and let my GT5 collect dust as I please... :grumpy:

Its called we are just happy the in game economy and XP leveling system (while flawed) is restored. It may not be perfect but the rest of us can play nice and live with it.

HOWEVER more importantly I'm just happy to be able to get a room list of actual races in open lobby as opposed to 60 rooms titled "MONEY GLITCH $$$$$"

I call shenanigans on this whole thing.

Thats cause the patch hasn't rolled out to the US yet.
