What patch? It's supposedly a hotfix, which is what the OP and another user admitted.

Look at the first post. It’s a 1.7 MB download. No way this could be a hotfix, it has to patch a game file.

P.S.—They don’t give hotfixes numbers. “1.08” implies it’s a patch. I don’t think they’ve had any hotfixes, or can. People might call very small or specific patches hotfixes, though.

im pleased all these glitches have been took away and the cap on trading, makes the game more intresting in my opinion, never done the glitch or cloned a car myself, rather do it myself tbh, just personall opinion,

people getting all this money through glitching and cloning just doesnt make the more exotic cars as special as they should be' sure its been said a thousand time but needed to say it myself, so dont go crying now you have to get money how you should be in the game

Forgot about the region rollout thing with patches.

Either way, PSN is going down in less than 2 hours for the entire day, so you won't be able to do any glitching today and if this patch is real it will be live once PSN is working again.

sweet now we can go back to racing.

i did the glitch a few times, enough to buy the '67 ferrari. i'd never be able to afford it otherwise and my bday is not in '67.

i think it was better than doing the indy 500 for the '66 jag.

All the same, I'd double-check the actual version of your game before making claims that the glitch isn't fixed on 1.08. Calling it a hotfix or a patch is just semantics - it still has to be downloaded and applied to your game.

Well anyone with half a braincell knew it was a matter of when and not if this got fixed, so it was fun while it lasted. For me personally it meant I could icrease my A Spec so that I only have to do the Le Mans 24 Hours once and not 12 times and bought a few of the expensive race cars. Now I can probably finish this game in the next couple of weeks then move onto something else.

This doesn't really "fix" anything. You can still use a Widget and B-spec remote if you want "free credits"...

The only thing this does is keeps me from getting to LVL40 A-spec because I'm NOT grinding my way there. But that's my fault because I spent more time playing Black Ops during double XP weekend. :P

Great, thank you PD for ruining GT5 even more. I swear I will be playing NFS Shift 2 once it comes out and let my GT5 collect dust as I please... :grumpy:

what a joke this is. your telling me you prefer gt5 so you can cheat and glitch? you are not a gt5 fan at all. just someone who likes to cheat cheat and more cheat.

so PD have fixed the glitch and now people crying because of it. lol grow up will you. its a game not your life. and others comparing NFS to GT5 really have no clue either. they are totally 2 different games and styles. GT5 is simulation. NFS is arcade and rubbish

I wish pd would do something like that double xp weekend man :sly:

Of course. Some people prefer racing to needless repetition. SS7 let a lot of people skip needless grinding and the game was much better as a result. And by the way, it wasn't a cheat.
GT5 is simulation. NFS is arcade and rubbish
GT5 is a game with simulation physics locked behind arcade rubbish. NFS (or anyone) is capable of making a GT5 beater. All they need to do is take all of the improvements PD chose not to implement for whatever reason over the course of the GT series and then actually allow people to get a race cars.

It wasnt just the fact that 99% of the rooms on the internet were gltiching rooms. It was that you couldn't play SSR7 online at all.

Soon as you created a room that was running this course you'd find people donuting.

Look, I was pissed okay? Don't get me wrong, I love playing GT5 as much as the next person does but with the few new updates GT5 has been going down quite a lot. I used to have fun doing the seasonal events and duping, but then the seasonal events started to get less exciting and rewards less XP and Cr. than the first few events, and they are not even updating it every week like the promised! And then came the previous update which made duping more difficult, so nowadays I could only dupe from 1 account compared to 2 accounts before. Also I can't even buy those expensive cars to send to my main account anymore.

And after discovering this glitch, its was an easy (and more rewarding) alternative to play GT5. Not only could you make enough money to buy the cars you want, but you could level up much faster as well! But yeah, thanks for caring I guess... :indiff: Anyway, I don't mind playing if PD actually kept to their promise about adding new seasonal events every week with a lot of Cr. and XP rewards, but they aren't doing it are they? 👎

Okay, rant aside I think its better if I just play something else for the time being. Or better yet, maybe I should just stop playing my PS3 altogether start playing my Xbox 360 and enjoy Forza 3 like I always do... 👍

Does anyone know if they've just blocked the hole in the wall, or just added a T1, T2, etc at either end of the track?

Until these 'cheats' appeared I never realised so many self-righteous d**** were on the internet, getting all worked up about the amount of virtual money people have.

I applaud anyone who used this 'cheat' to buy the cars they wanted to buy and spent their time, not grinding, but driving the tracks they love.

Anyone that draws any comparisons between GT5 behaviour/morality and the real world needs a reality check (and also should never buy a FPS in case they have to kill anybody). Would I hand in a wallet dropped on the floor in a shop? Yes. Would I 'cheat' to earn money in a game? Yes. Once is a infinitely more true marker of my character than the other.

👍👍 100% agree…Everyone should step back for a moment and remind themselves that GT5 is a game, which in turn is meant to be enjoyed by the people who paid real money for it. How you choose to play it is your choice. Personally, I don't consider this glitch or auto a-specing cheating. Rather, it's just a means to an end....video game enjoyment. Likewise, I’ve played GT since the PS1. I know how to drive. I’ve spent countless hours playing, and I don’t need a lap counter to tell me how good of a driver I am. A lap counter shouldn’t be the deciding factor in whether or not I’m good enough to participate in a race, that’s what the role of the license system was (same in real life). Going around Indy 9 million times doesn’t make you a good driver…it just means you lots of spare time and patience.

By the way I worked out why only the Skylines could do this glitch. When PD build tracks, they don't measure with conventional units to a real life scale. They measure in Skylines. Tracks and objects are a certain amount of Skylines wide, that's why they were the only car that fit into the wall. It was exactly a skyline wide. PD love Skylines.

its more then 1mb right?

could there be a little more to it or just the ssr7 glitch?

i am kinda happy, 90% of all the online rooms i saw were all about this glitch

This. +1
The Dude's right. I did it a couple times, I bought a Lancia Delta with the money and full upgraded it. It's a blast to drive and I've bought other cars, Audi R10, SuperGT's. These cars are no different from the cars anyone else drove aorudn Indy 5 Hours for.
We're just the smarter ones for taking advantage of what was there.

I'm with you guys. Thanks to that glitch i can enjoy the game longer, too.
I was at the grinding-limit lol
Anyway i'm ok with the fix, too much problem online (for me).
One thing: i'ts not the "real" patch, just a fix for this single thing, so, people, don't be disappointed.

yes!

uMadson?
lol, money glitch will die.

Time to move over to Seasonal Events, Indy Grinding and Completing the Incomplete Special Events and Licenses.

Yes, i hope they bring a vast update of seasonal events, otherwise, getting to lvl 40, will take a year.

Is getting to level 40 as bigger deal as you all make out???
I'm level 32 A-spec and only glitched once too see what the deal was.

I enjoy the game more for the on-line aspects than trying to "finish" it as for me, the game will never be finished.

Or... heres a novel idea.... Realize the game wasn't meant to be beaten in a week, and played like pokemon where you MUST collect all 1000+ cars.

Drive what you have, drive races you ENJOY driving or online, and tune what you have.

I have 250 cars and have plenty that I meant to tune and have sat and rotted in my garage because I was too busy enjoying what I have setup already, where do you (all who complain they can't easily get EVERY car) find the time to tune every car and really get into racing it and getting used to it? Thats the argument everyone uses, you guys must have a lot of free time!
