im admittedly a little sick of the glitch... ive used it several times and whatever to get what i wanted but now its just enough.. quicker it dies the better

The I used it alot but I don't need it anymore So it should go argument ...brilliant

I started this thread once after I received an update (V1.08) from my PS3. I thought it's my duty as a member of GTplanet forum and as well as a GT5 fan to post this kind of update. It stated : (correction of known issue) we have corrected an issue where it was possible to shortcut on the special stage route 7 course. Sad to see post/reply that referring me or other people who had already received their V1.08 as cheater. I believed it's because of the time zone that's why some part of the world have not receive yet. True or not true is not my business now. :grumpy:

No problem buddy... its just the spoiled kids from internet...

You did a good job, thanks.

The update is really unusual. Its real, but I wonder if Australia and New Zealand are being lumped in with Europe for this update and not Asia.

I meant that in the sense of it was fun at first now its just old type thing.. like the person who tells a joke thats funny at first but then keeps telling it to the point where he just kills it, i didnt mean that like "oh ive done my objectives and now it can go" sense.. im not that greedy

horray... so pd killed another way of getting money and xp quickly, so all the jobless and girlfriendless kids can go back and enjoy their fantastic Grind Turismo 5 game and brag about how cool they are because they bought a 20 million car after doing indy 500 500 times... like it was a proof of skill or whatsoever.

Its really amazing how people keep calling it cheating... it doesnt harm anyone, it doesnt affect performance or anything... its just a time saver, for people with real life, real friends, family...

Thank god i've already duped all the expensive cars before the latest patch... its just a shame that i didnt know about this glitch before, would've save me a lot of trouble.

what a joke this is. your telling me you prefer gt5 so you can cheat and glitch? you are not a gt5 fan at all. just someone who likes to cheat cheat and more cheat.

so PD have fixed the glitch and now people crying because of it. lol grow up will you. its a game not your life. and others comparing NFS to GT5 really have no clue either. they are totally 2 different games and styles. GT5 is simulation. NFS is arcade and rubbish

+1 👍

So if you counterfeit money in real life and then go out and buy a ton of stuff with that money you're actually helping the economy and should be commended for your humanitarian efforts! You're not hurting anybody are you? Same thing with cheating on a test in high school. You're not hurting anybody except yourself so why should anybody care?

Yeah, I know it's not exactly the same thing, but the point is that doing something that isn't intended to get ahead is cheating, even if it doesn't hurt anybody else. I don't care how anybody else plays their game, but trying to say that it's not cheating is just naive.

if it doesn't hurt anybody else.

Then it's not cheating. Fake money obviously hurts the economy, and cheating on a test means that intellegence/ability does not decide who goes to better colleges, etc.

Glitching no SS7 just makes GT5 fun. There is no comparison.

It's not cheating. That glitch was mere exploiting.

Ramming cars off the road to get first is cheating.

But it's another topic for another thread.

Endurance saves is a must for next update.

US Central time -6 GMT and still no update. Anyone in US got this update?
Update seems to be based by region. Asia got it already. Next should be the EU (and Australia/NZ) and finally the US later today.

Could they be rolling out updates from now on by region and not all at once?

Well... its 11h20am here in Canada (EST) and no sign of update yet! anyway i don't really care about that glitch.. i used it 2-3 times and it was so boring lol:yuck: iM still lvl 37 aspec achieved with plain old grinding lol

Your signature sounds a bit... well, homosexual !!! :guilty:
Sorry :D

Should it? Just wondered.

Lol well that's a first!

I actually took that Man Furismo Jive line from good ole Kevin Butler from those PS3 commercials. It was from a Mod Nation Racers commercial I think.

I was actually thinking about changing it to something else, maybe now is a good time.:)

maybe they are looking at the logs first for each region.... then doing the roll out :)

The thing that I don't get is the people against the glitch, whining that now 'Nobody will acknowledge it as an acheivement anymore'. Really? it is a game!! You paid to play, I paid to play. The thing is, I have kids that are young, a job, do classes to stay current in my profession-- important things. And I do not have toime to fight against a ridiculous money amount for the top cars. I want to drive them and enjoy them. It is why I bought the game. Not to grind away at Indy for the rest of my life. Just to buy the top Alfa Romea race car, the Muria prototype, the F2007 and F10, and the Ford Mark IV would mean grinding Indy over 900 times. That is stupid to make the payouts so small and the price so high that most people cannot possibly buy all the cars. It is a game.

Acheivement? Being a parent. WOrking and raising kids, going to school, setting up retirements, savings, those things are acheivements. Getting to level 40 without a cheat? It is a game. Nothing more. Doing that to me is like playing community softball, and acting like it is an acheivement like you are Albert Pujols. The only reason I have ever got online is to do the glitch to make the money so I can buy the race cars that I want. Since PD took them away from Championship series prizes like in GT4 and gave up crap cars for prizes (for the most part). And since you cant re-race a series and win the racecars againa and then sell them to generate money to buy other race cars.

PD is the one who broke this game. GT3 and GT4 were doable, plenty of different races to enjoy while being able to reasonably gain the various racecars that you wanted.

BTW, congrats on your 'acheivement'. You got to level 40 all on your own. I bet Donald Trump wants to hire you now. You are a proven winner.

Ahh the "I have a life" argument. Classic.

Heres what you don't realize, just another perspective. Yes YOU don't care about the achievement, YOU don't play online. Theres enough of you as well to be a vocal group (in the 5% of all 5million+ GT5 players who are posters on this forum).

What YOU and others don't realize is just because it doesn't matter to YOU doesn't make it any less fun/important to other people. The fact of the matter is the designers made a game they intended to be played a certain way over a long period of time. People buy games to play for a challenge. Yes not everyone does, as evidenced by the fact that you an many others like you are very vocal about wanting to just be able to drive around and tune cars.

The problems being the following: (and lets ignore that yes it is not perfect) the game is designed to be played over the long term. The fact that credits are limited means they also designed it so that theres so many cars theres variation in races as everyone can't easily own every car. They designed a level system so that at a glance someone could see whether another online player is experienced or not, as well to allow the unlocking of certain events. The intention was for people to work up to certain cars and certain races, and play like this.

However then cheating comes into the mix, and everyones duping and getting every car, and you have low level players with cars like the X1, etc etc. Now rare cars aren't rare, level is just an arbitrary number. I bet their original hope was (for example) high level players could race eachother in their X1s online easily in a open lobby which is now completely impossible.

So yeah YOUR gameplay isn't affecting others but the cheats and culture of cheating IS affecting people who don't - outside of our little microcosm here -, and so for the greater good these things need to be stopped. The game isn't about YOU its about everyone, and who are you to decide whether or not its ok for someone to enjoy the achievement in beating races and leveling up, or putting the time in at higher levels enjoying the cars they have, marveling at ones they want, and eventually saving up to get them. You don't HAVE TO cheat, or HAVE TO grind, you want to, because you want every car. Not the games "fault" or other players, just your own.

Lol, thanks for answering without taking offence 👍 ;)

..../snipped thankfully/...

Tommy, I'm on your side - sort of - but you're even beginning to bore me now (sorry, no offence intended). Relax, don't worry about it, have a beer (or tea, or whatever) and chill. It doesn't matter. The sun will still rise tomorrow and we'll all still have to pay taxes. Let everyone have their point of view and we'll all be a happier bunch :D 👍

Ahhhhh....

Ahhhhh....

I AM CHILLING! :D

lol in all seriousness, every time this discussion comes up we get 500 self centered posts about how someone has a wife/job/kids/pet monkey and wants to own and tune every car in the game. Of those 4 I have only the job and still barely have 2 hours to play a day, and am overwhelmed by 250 cars. I have a bunch I never even touched that I had all intentions to tune. So if people are so busy I don't know how in hell they could have time to bother with 1000 cars!
