Oh aye. Almost there. :lol:đź‘Ť

I've been having a blast throwing the Renault Megane around on the new QM at Bathurst, bad luck there's been no-one to race against :(
But on the plus side, I don't lose a race :P

Had a bash. Don't know what I set that Megane up for but must have had something to do with donuts. Could not stay in a straight line.

Excellent. Love that track.

I know what you mean, the short wheel base and MR configuration makes it pretty unstable. I had mine reasonable but made some bad changes and I couldn't remember how it was :dunce:. I knew I should've saved them but oh well, plenty of time to get it sorted.

And yeah, it's one of my favorites, along with Spa đź‘Ť

Against my better judgement I decided to run the Mazda TC. I had several good races with almost no contact in a field of 8 racers. I came in second with a nice gap over the rest of the field. However one of the "cruel" SRF "drivers" came in 1st. He was 7 seconds up on me and 21 seconds over the rest of the field. I bet some of you can recognize who I'm speaking of by the quotations.

Got it straight away!

I managed to beat one of the SRF regulars a few times at Bathurst - perhaps he'd forgotten to turn it on.. .....

464pp Mazda Roadster Touring cars at Monaco and 530pp Megane Trophy's at Bathurst. Both 3 laps tuned.đź‘Ť

There's also Touring cars (R8's, SLS's etc) at Fuji (3 laps) and the FGT at R246 with 4 laps.

A decent batch this time around and after 3 months of gixxers, finally we get a break from them.

Got to be gruel drivel. Overly salivating its way to its ill gotten gains. I know the spelling's wrong but I prefer my version of his name.

... Got to be gruel drivel ...

He basically is a good driver and clean also. Last time I met him was on Trial Mountain where we had a couple of good races. We chatted in between and everything was cool until I couldn't stop my mouth. He had shown some actions that seemed almost impossible so I asked him about driving aids. ... Silence ... Never got any answer.
Bingo  !

Seems like they've given us some great combos this time - looking forward to them đź‘Ť !

Ah btw cool spelling ... with a touch of Chinese :).

Some of them are good drivers - it's very frustrating that they waste that talent by running SRF all the time.....

Hi Guys !
So what QM is your choice ? the idea is to do some races with you ?

Sometimes he's no so cruel, he behaves like a lamb. I asked me if it wasn't two different drivers sharing the same count.

. . . gruel drivel. . .
lol, i read it while on my break at work and some of my drink came out (and in ) my nose ,
funny as hell.

He's not that bad a guy, had some good races with him at Trial Mountain QM, smelly tyres ruined one of the races though and everyone was going to suffer his wrath, i suppose he likes winning over racing which is a shame because he's a good racer. At Tsukuba, quickest RX500 I've been is same race as was @ROCKET JOE , running around a 5m20 race time, gruel ran a 5m15 starting from mid pack in a field 0f around fourteen cars, that one raised my eyebrows, I always wondered because he can be quite aggresive but his car rarely spins
Ah well indeed

I've been running at Bathurst - it's OK if you get a room without the SRF crowd, they're about two seconds per lap faster.

Tried Cote d'Azur, but again SRF rules here, and the pack behind becomes a ram fest......
With a really good track specific tune, we should be able to come close to matching lap times with the known SRF'ers around Bathurst. What lap times are they getting so far?

I may be doing them a disservice then - fastest time I'd seen previously was 2:08.xxx

Just had time for a quick try-out at Monaco and Bathurst. Two races each.
For Monaco I used the tune from the last one at Tsukuba, for which I have @Mwerte to thank. It goes very well here. First race I dropped to the back to follow them round and get the lie of the land and still managed to finish mid-pack. Second race I started on pole and won by 8 seconds. No srf users there I reckon. Overtaking and staying out of trouble are going to tricky here.
Before trying at Bathurst I took the car off-line for a bit of practice and to sort out a tune. I used this http://praianogt6tunes.blogspot.co.uk/2013/12/renault-sport-megane-trophy-11.html as a basis. It's a lot less twitchy. First race finished mid-pack again and then P2, 8s behind the cruel/not-so- -cruel-after-all one. It would have been P3 behind a French driver (possibly a chef) in a shiny gold number but he messed up right near the finish. He was very fast when he wasn't crashing. My BL was 2:10, the winner's was 2:08. I'm sure 2:08 without srf is possible but....

I'd like to add my welcome to @Rizla and @ColinChapman, who seems to have slipped in without much ceremony. Nice hat, Jackie Stewart used to wear one too. They were quite the thing for racing drivers back then. I can't see Lewis Hamilton wearing one.

I'm away for a few days now but I look forward to having some fun with you all when I get back.
