In a slightly unrelated note, I'm a bit surprised that the number of this update is 1.04 instead of 1.05. There was no update 1.04 for GT5, possibly because the Japanese words for "four" and "death" are homophones; I thought they would skip 1.04 in GT6 for that reason.

With that logic ,it was a miracle we got a Gran Turismo 4 ,Gran Turismo Death ?? Right ? :P :P :P

I'm sure within 14 pages, someone has pointed this out, but I think some former non-paintable cars in GT6 can now be painted. I just updated the game, and the car I was in is the IROC-Z, and I remembered the last time I turned off the game, I turned it off aggrivated that I couldn't paint it like I could in GT5. Well, just for ****sngiggles the first thing I did was hit the paint shop and to my surprise I could now paint the car. Wheels are still locked though. EDIT- Actually the wheels can also now be changed on the IROC, I was in the wrong screen. BONUS!!

I haven't tried any others yet, but I'm goona try more formerly unpaintables that were paintable in GT5 now.

Haven't seen it til now thanks!

What happened to the brakes? now we can set ABS to 0, and tires won't lock anymore, even using comfort tires.
:banghead: 🤬
It was like that before 1.04 on some cars if you didn't install racing brakes. It may have been changed with the update but you'd have to compare cars before and after to know for sure.

My GT40 locks hard even on racing compound, while others need a lot more. It differ amongst cars.

I used to drive with no ABS before this patch, and it was always challenging, I had to use the brakes really gently to avoid tire lock, now I can full press the brakes and nothing happens, before patch even with ABS set to 1 I had to be carefull, now it feels like ABS 0 is the same as ABS set to 3.

Are you comparing the exact same car/tire combination offline/online? Not all cars were the same without ABS. Some locked up easy, some were hard to lock up. Racing brakes were much stronger without ABS.

EVO VI TM S.C.P '99 - the AYC / LSD problem fixed visually (not tried it physically)

You can now select either AYC or a fully custom diff

Havn't checked other EVO's & couldn't see this on OP, it wasn't like this yesterday, so presuming it's a 1.04 change?

EDIT: EVO VIII MR GSR '04 also has AYC / LSD visually 'fixed' now
EDIT (2): EVO X GSR PP '07 also 'fixed' with above

I play mostly offline, I will test other cars and try with racing brakes as you said.
Hopefully it will get better.
👍

If it is a weight issue, the rear tires are getting more weight to move after the first pitstop, so this idea could explain the wear.

Sorry I just don't buy it!

Lets assume a simple numbers example:
Car weight average: 1400kg
Distributed weight 50:50 = 700kg on F/R.

So far, quite simple.
Now, lets assume a gas tank with 70 litres or 70 kg*
So it represents only 10% (average) of total weight (700kg) I assume.

Would you like to explain how this 10% can do so much damage on tyre wear issue?

IMO = bug.

*I know, fuel density is not exactly 1/1.
Gasoline 0.71–0.77 kg/l
Diesel: 0.832 kg/l

This sucks! How about a decent car pack PD! More gt3 would be nice. More new race cars. C7 gt3?? PD sucks when it comes to giving us monthly cars... same as gt5 . lame

If Sony gave you the only GT6 game disc in the world for the PS4, and then gave you a free PS4, and even included every single car ever made in human history in a DLC pack, you would still complain about something.

Thanks for reply. This sucks. The 3 tune sheets are basically rendered useless.

Uselles ? They are exactly the same or better as in GT5 . Once you did weight reductionin GT it was done forever in every tune and you couldn't revert it to stock. Now , you have an option to upgrade wr 1-2-3 or reverse it , but it stays as it is across all 3 tunes - there is a note in tuning screen - A/B/C ,same with engine power upgrade. Just read what is written on tuning tabs.

Update is good! Thumbs up from me so far. Completed Career at the weekend so this should give me some more on-track action for a couple weeks! 👍

OK, out of the cars I have, I tested all ones I could recall couldn't be painted or customized before (standard cars that could be customized in GT5), and I've only found a couple changes.

As I said, the Camaro IROC-Z can now be customized.
The F-150 Lightning can now be painted and change wheels.
The Charger SuperBee, I'm not sure about. I don't remember if it wasn't customizable, but mine has stock paint and wheels which is odd because I would have changed them right away. So I'm thinking it was locked before. If it was, it's unlocked now.

I was really hoping the Viper GTS-R concept could be painted again, but no dice. A real downer.
Camaro LM race car not paintable unlike in GT5.
Silvarado still no paint or wheels
Altezza Touring, no wheels like in GT5

On another side not, the lights are now actually flashing on the pace car, but that may have been fixed in an earlier patch, I'm not sure when I checked that last.

Yeah I kinda see what's he trying to say and if you think about it you'll see he is right in a way...all we're getting is some concepts, red bull space ships and tuned in game cars for now...
Real cars are the best ones for me...

Not always, I noticed (only couple cars I tried) that exhausts, computer etc can be changed and stay different on A B C but engine tuning overrides all of them making A B C the same engine tuning. I haven't had time to test it all.

It happens only to engine upgrade and weight reduction. There is a note on that tabs in black letters > A/B/C and text explaining it. Just do the reading. Anything else - tires, mufflers ,brakes gearshifter .... does not carry on between tunes.

welp that was about two hours of fun, now bored for another month lol :grumpy:

There is this thing called the Internet that your PS3 hooks up to that lets you compete with millions of people for infinite gaming experiences. We don't really need Seasonal Events to give you something to do in this game. But for the folks with social anxiety disorder, I suppose online racing could cause a panic attack.
