Very much so. Slighty disappointed by this fact actually. In GT5 you actually had to beat the time set by Sebastian just to get silver (and go at least 1 second faster to get gold). With this you're left with nothing more than Vettels endorsement of a Red Bull product...
Positives are the cars look great but that fact is mere consolation for those looking to say they're 1-2 seconds faster than a quadruple F1 world champion (albeit in the virtual world).

Exactly.
I was intrigued by the "bug" for some time and decided to do serious testings. I have some conclusions but I will wait until tomorrow to publish them because I want to test 1.04 behaviour.
But yes, my preliminary conclusions are in line with the quote above. There is something which could be attributed as "bug" but it has nothing to do with tires but with fuel.
I will test some more and reveal my subjective conslusions tomorrow.

Ok did everything and...
- AMG Vision GT one was very simple;
- Corvette one was even simpler, just need to pay more attention for worst handling;
- X2014 Standard championship... Meh, it is pretty simple to be true, but the 3-laps races don't let you get the exact feeling of the car, and by myself I feel the car needs higher tyre lock (1-2° more), as you reach the steering lock when the car still doesn't go in understeer;
- X2014 Fan challenge it's absolutely easy... I found that Vettel's presence was more an obstacle than an help, I had to repeat a couple of times because I couldn't see the track with him foward (use the cockpit view) or he pushed me out of the track when I was about to overtake him...

As long as your game save data is intact, you should be fine once you download all the updates again. Make sure to backup your save data, in case it ever becomes corrupted.
