As long as your game save data is intact, you should be fine once you download all the updates again. Make sure to backup your save data, in case it ever becomes corrupted.
I hope you're right thank you for your help.

you can copy game data on external drives?
he is not talking about save data , his game data is corrupted ,,, not the save file
game data can be copied to external drives, but it involves making a backup of your ps3. I have version 1.01 and 1.02 saved on an external drive.

Yesterday I did 16 laps @ apricot hill in the Scion courtesy car on SH tires. From about lap 7 on, they were all under 1.39. Today I did exactly the same session with same settings and the car is undrivable, aftr 26 laps i got one under 1.40. I read the tire physics have changed, but would they really make the car undrivable now? Has anyone else noticed this?

Well. This came out of nowhere! Happy with that update, should keep me busy for a while. Really glad the Vettel challenge pays out big, hopefully it pays out more than once.

THE PIT STOP BUG ARE STILL THERE!!!
He has become even worse!
After a pit stop the tyre´s or the car is not the same and laptimes before the stop are much slower!
SO PD PLEASE CHECK IT!
THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT POINT!!!
CAUSE ONLINE RACING WITH STOP ARE NOT POSSIBLE AND REALLY ANNOYING!!!

We get it, Tire change effects wear and grip, It is noted in OP, and has been mentioned before, repeatedly.
PD does not see fit to change this.

Go yell at someone else.

DAMN RIGHT!!!!

@ hognhominy If you don´t interested please quiet. There so many guys who can´t drive championships or Cups with tyre chancing....

PD FIXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX that Bug PLEASE!!!!!!!!! I drived your 370Z at GT Academy in Silverstone without a Bug when boxing

Exactly.

I was intrigued by the "bug" for some time and decided to do serious testings. I have some conclusions but I will wait until tomorrow to publish them because I want to test 1.04 behaviour.

But yes, my preliminary conclusions are in line with the quote above. There is something which could be attributed as "bug" but it has nothing to do with tires but with fuel.

I will test some more and reveal my subjective conslusions tomorrow.

@amar212 , my guess is that the game aren't taking the fuel into account on the first stint. So when you do stop, the car becomes heavier, and this changes handling and tire wear. I also notice that on rain (up until 10% of water on track) this behaviour is much more less noticeable (something which I can't explain).

But for me, this is a bug.

But this is just a guess, I'm not the greatest driver out there, neither a racing physics expert.

Anyway, I'm glad that people are looking seriously into this. Tired of being called a moron who can't drive correctly.

I get your frustration, the issue affects us all. What I don't get is the need scream about things in such a manner, especially in a changelog thread.

The abuse of {size=} and {B} does no one any good, I equate it to getting all huffy and mad IRL, you will not correct the problem by getting pissed off, if anything it makes matters worse. I work with a guy that throws stuff when he's mad, I find it childish and unbecoming of an adult.

A calm, persuasive demeanor is much more effective in dealing with problems, expletives, yelling, capslock, etc. will be ignored by 99% of people.

Try conveying your ideas directly to those that can change them, Use Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and target PD and Sony management, and do so in a calm unrelenting manner, It'll be a better use of your time.

I can confirm the brakes are now fixed. it no longer instantly locks up the fronts on default settings with no ABS.
Additionally altering the brake bias actually has an effect as to which axle get most braking force, you can lock up the rear wheels now if you wish. Generally the brake pedal feels more forgiving. I haven't tested racing brake kit yet to see how that has been managed.

Pre 1.04, the game took the weigth of the fuel on non-S events, arcade mode and online into account, I can 110% confirm this for all events beside S. I also can 110% confirm that the gaz tanks are placed rigth where they should be.
I'm quite sure for online too.
I didn't noticed weigth problems with S events.

For the S, there was a few problem for me with tire selection yesterday in 1.03. I used RH/RH on Le Mans then RM/RM. Lost the race, retries, I started with RM/RM without changing the setting in the game.

Then on Suzuka 10 laps with a 908, RM/RM then RM/RM showed to wear first RM pair slower than second.
First RM/RM were more used in the front, second RM/RM were more used in the rear.

Maybe that's temperature. On rolling starts you're suposed to have done a whole track lap before, after pit your tire starts fresh and maybe the tires distrupt faster on traction if they are not heated, but also grip better full fresh than after one lap...

Got to find a fast FF car to test better imho.

I don't know.

I'll send - after Amar's tests - tweeter Kazu to warn / explain problem that occurs after a pit stop.

He will not answer me, but I'm pretty sure he reads messages.
