Just pull over if you need to stop, don't disappear in front of someone in the middle of the road!


Also, if someone is momentarily detained, they can park in the track (off the road), and take last place points, and preserve their RGO position for the next race, should they want to continue. 👍
 
Well I just got to know Targa Florio better, did a 3'48.2 at best but there continues to be massive room for improvement. It's just too hard to hotlap a track like that, good thing we only have quali for that Hellhole race. :crazy:

And my driving line doesn't go over the curb with grass on it (just telling) so for me, that won't be a problem unless I'm on the outside of someone who uses it and slips on the grass and takes me out. :P

The corner where turbogeit? braked late, before the straight which leads onto 130r. Just like any other corner imo, quite smooth if anything and some nice rubber on the track to make it fairly easy to gauge when to brake. First corner was a bit dodgy with this car; any aggressive braking and you're in trouble.

Really liked the car.
 
Yeah spoon is the double turn. I've always had problem with that turn but this time i managed to keep the car on the black stuff. I was surprised to see i actually had the 3rd fastest lap time. But nic and snow was still 2 seconds ahead, no idea how they did that.

Spoon I think is off camber, its important to get the braking points right other wise you just go in to the gravel. Sometimes I can get it wrong to:guilty:

Like I said before in the lounge, I held my hands up and admitted full responsibility for the turn 1 incident. Being under pressure starting from the back row (again) makes me do stupid things. I also have a dislike for Suzuka when it comes to racing and it's my personal "HellHole Raceway". :dunce::banghead::banghead:

Karma is karma and I richly deserved to outbrake myself into the Casino triangle as payback for the start crash. I'll have to start applying my own "Zero Theory" after watching episode 7 of Initial D Fifth Stage.

Aaaawesome pictures. You're much better than me at that ^^ I'm still a tiny bit sad that I missed the start when I had pole in Hellhole.. really should have had a podium or maybe even first there. Easily caught up with the top but passing three very fast drivers wasn't gonna happen and instead I started to screw up and even let carbon past me.

Edit: This is soo pretty! my car is tiny!

Wa-heey! Great races, but was a bit lucky to get the overall win due to Audi/SK's race 3.

Hellhole was a great battle with a lot of position changes. Being in the lead was almost a guarantee you wouldn't stay there due to the slipstream down the main straight, so 2nd was a good result.

I actually managed to memorize Targa about 30 minutes before the races, having seen it for about 5 laps the day before. It took about 8 more laps of going the wrong way, braking too early, too late or whatever else you can do wrong, but then it was fine and I actually was able to push a little at race time. Got into third pretty early on with Audi and Carb a couple of seconds ahead. I managed to hunt down Carb only to lose it in one of the turns and although I didn't lose a position, I was 8 seconds back again by half time. I then managed to do two 3:46's and got the gap down to 4 seconds by the last lap, but didn't quite get there in the end.

After a hectic start in Suzuka, I was able to take the lead coming out of the last chicane with a little more speed, and managed to do fast consistent laps unto the finish.

By the way, I find the secret to Spoon is finding the right braking point. I always use the access road on the right for reference. Get on the brakes and shift down one or two gears slightly before that and then let the car slow down to the right entry speed letting the back rotate the car a little. If you're going in too fast you're done - you will go wide. Then slightly on the gas again before going down one gear for the second part of Spoon, which is easy to misjudge, because it hangs to the outside a lot. So, not accelerating too early, but rather slowly until you're sure you won't run wide. But don't wait too long, because you'll need that speed down the straight. Saying that, it's not my favourite corner either. :sly:
