With the 1 car gift & receive per day... JN will be fixed up with all the cars by the EST event he wants to participate in. 👍

I wish that were true... It's not. I'm continually confused. :boggled:
It's really just a slap-happy miracle when things come off well enough. LOL :sly:

You probably know this already but Michigan raceway is online for you to check out. Are you guys doing any racing, testing in the next few hours?

@ jackargent: thanks :)

@ turbonator: yes, I did... just haven't had the chance to test it.

I have the Mini Madness race this afternoon.
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=239558

And it should be noted that I live in a 2 racer household with just one ps3! :ouch:
Which is why I rarely just pop on... my gt5 time is ultra-scheduled.

heehee, well I don't particularly like to assume anything! One never can be 100% sure. :)

So the 2 stratos are sent.
And I just sent J-neb an Elan.
👍

And welcome to the Sunday event too, matticus88.

Hi turbonator, I am new here. What is Michigan raceway?

I have a nickname for the Alpine...The tank-slapper. Man, careful steering inputs are critical with this car. Huge fun though.

@ cote: turbonator is a course maker enthusiast.
I tried his HELLHOLE RACEWAY & it was a hoot!

RE: Alpine
Yes, with the RR drivetrain, I recommend not doing a lot of throttle & brake at the same time as steering.
Indeed, best to only steer as much as you absolutely have to!

ARGGGGGH.

There's definitely a problem. :ouch:

I forgot that Daylight Savings Starts tomorrow for the USA. :boggled:

Now I'm VERY confused. Because it doesn't start tomorrow, apparently in Europe.

Does anyone know how this works? :nervous:

I have horribly miscalculated.
(I'm blaming turbonator for saying I was organized. I did say I wasn't!! lol)

My thinking at this point is:

GMT Event
Monday March 12th
@ 1pm PST / 4pm EST / 9pm GMT / 10pm CET
2pm PDT / 5pm EDT

And since the EST event is mostly North Americans, and 11pm is too late for me...

EST Event
Monday March 12th
@ 7pm PST / 10pm EST / (Tues 3am GMT) / (Tues 4am CET)
7pm EDT / 10pm EDT / (Tues 2am GMT) / (Tues 3am CET)

What to do with Sunday is another matter. :boggled:

You can do a couple of things:

Make it:

Move European times an hour back, leave North American times
Sunday March 11th @ 11:30am PST / 2:30pm EST / 6:30pm GMT / 7:30pm CET

OR

Move North American times an hour forward, leave European times.
Sunday March 11th @ 12:30am PST / 3:30pm EST / 7:30pm GMT / 8:30pm CET

I can make the first option, the second I can't.

I think you've gotten it correct.

For Sunday, I say start at 3:30 Eastern, which will still be 7:30 UTC.

Tee'd. Besides, I'm not in the Sunday event, so it doesn't matter to me which way you move it.

Oddly enough... I can't make the second time either. LOL
Well, I can start it, but I would have to leave before the last race probably.
As I have to leave @ approx. 4:30pm.

Now this doesn't necessarily have to be a problem, but it could be... depending.

The bolded is those who would be effected if the time is
Move North American times an hour forward, leave European times.
Sunday March 11th @ 12:30am PDT / 3:30pm EDT / 7:30pm GMT / 8:30pm CET

1. watermelonpunch / wat3rm370n / EDT
2. SagarisGTB / sagarismic / CDT
3. cc570 / cc570 / EDT

4. jackargent / jackargent / GMT
5. kcheeb / kcheeb / MDT
6. Naptown25rs / NCemtB (may not make it on time as it was)
7. John Wells / johnwells69 / GMT
8. culturalsnow / culturalsnow / PDT
9. Matticus88 / Diplomatti / GMT

The NON-bolded people would be effected if we did this:
Move European times an hour back, leave North American times
Sunday March 11th @ 11:30am PDT / 2:30pm EDT / 6:30pm GMT / 7:30pm CET

The only other thing I could suggest is a compromise and re-scheduling:

12pm PDT / 3pm EDT / 7pm GMT / 8pm CET

Which would effect everyone. :boggled:
But only by 1/2 hour.
It would be a half hour later for North Americans, a half hour earlier for Europeans.

That last suggestion WOULD work for me.
Not sure about anyone else though. :(

I'd rather make it so that everyone could still make it, or at the very least that only I would miss the very last race possibly.

I have another race at 1 pm PDT / 4 PM EDT / 8 PM GMT / 9 PM CET, so I'll be bailing then anyway. I'll take part for as long as I can.

Cheers, it's all good.

So you want to make it 12:30pm PDT tomorrow, right? Early afternoon not middle of night? That would work for me, I don't have any obligations until the evening.

Sorry yes, these are the proposed times, to try & fix this...

SUNDAY EVENT CORRECTION

12:30pm PDT / 1:30pm MDT / 2:30pm CDT / 3:30pm EDT / 7:30pm GMT / 8:30pm CET

or

11:30am PDT / 12:30pm MDT / 1:30pm CDT / 2:30pm EDT / 6:30pm GMT / 7:30pm CET

or

12pm PDT / 1pm MDT / 2pm CDT / 3pm EDT / 7pm GMT / 8pm CET

The 2nd & 3rd are the ones *I* personally prefer.

I would have to leave early if it was the 1st time.
And kcheeb will need to leave early if it's the 1st time and probably the 2nd.

So that's where we stand right now.

Underlined is what's changed.

Thanks that's helpful. :)
Sorry again... :boggled:
(I really hate time zone issues... did I mention that yet?)

And if you want to see me get really riled up... talk about space-time fabric, gravity, velocity, and how time changes it's "speed"... blah blah blah... orbital velocity, light speed, and atomic clocks in geosychronous orbits & such.
If you think time zones & daylight savings ticks me off... You can imagine how that relativity topic winds me up.  :boggled:

Hey melon first thing ....stop beating yourself up about this & stop bl@@dy apologizing.

I reckon we have all been sucked into a hole in the fabric of the space-time continuum.

As far as tonight is concerned I might be able to make earlier start but it is not a certainty.
& I probably won't know until close to the time.

I'll keep watching.

Okay, this I have to see. Let me get some popcorn.

And... gravity is just a theory. Go!

Cote Dazur
Hi Cote Dazur I'm new too, met Chloe and hopefully I can build her some great tracks for her events. The cars that are used are a lot slower than I'm use to so It's a new challenge for me. I think Michigan is a little to open so still have to test it with slower cars. Send me ps3 invite.

So to clarify for those of us that get confused easily (me), this is now starting at 3:30pm EDT?

If so, I'm pretty sure I should be done with my car and able to make it for the race.
