Haha thanks, hopefully my driving will do the car justice. Still haven't gotten around to practicing the ARM section, been too into the A-Spec on my SFX account. Hopefully I can get a few runs in there tonight. đź‘Ť

Well good luck and don't be afraid to post a video up of how you do?

Meh, I don't have a capture card and believe me its everything but spectacular. I'm average at best and I'm fine with that. I'm constantly improving and I don't get too worked up about being perfect. ;)

Have a Camera to just video tape it?

Edit: First Post updated. Added new picture for Adavicro

I'm loving that FD, green and purple is the greatest color
combo on earth.

Okay so who has been practicing the line and what speeds are you running?

FD RX7 Spirit R will win in the speed aspect hands down. It's one of and maybe the number one fastest drifter. I'm not moaning. Been there done that. I'm just letting the guys know.

;)

You getting great angle With that speed?

Also: I will add the drifters as soon as I get on a computer.

Still haven't gotten around to practicing, but I've got some down-time today so I should be able to do a few runs. I don't think I've drifted the regular layout but once or twice on the wheel, I'm a lot more familiar going reverse. We'll see what happens. đź‘Ť

It just tends to drift faster than others at the same angle, get one and tune it, then test it around tsukuba in free run, time your lap, then I bet it's a good 2+ seconds faster than the other cars.

Add me up :)
xx_kasino_xx Ride: Toyota mr2 *haven't decided exact model yet* color: sky blue/ n.a

Added. đź‘Ť good luck!

You have watched the video for the starting and stopping point correct? If you have any questions please let me know.

just make sure your not losing out on angle and hitting clipping points for this speed :)

thanks guys
@ GTWelsh that's true... the Spirit R is a fast and nimble drift car... but i think it's a bit to unfair so i tuned the efini which has less power :P
hopefully i can keep up with the higher horsepower cars

It's all in the setup, if the car is with or without adjustable downforce, weight reduction, choice of engine parts are just a few things that can greatly change how fast a car can go. Believe me, I've seen really slow RX7s and ones that were biblically fast.

The driver also helps. ;)

I beat my head in to a wall a couple of days ago tuning for ARM I got up to 60+mph throughout the course due to changes in suspension, I dont like how it feels though [^.^;]. Might just keep the tune for Qs but switch to my old settings for tandem. Need online practice to see what peoples speeds are, just to find out if i need to squeeze more angel out or more speed.

What speeds were you running without the new setup?

I've done my best in the RX7 Spirit and also in my ZR-1: The Vette was over 1 second faster at autumn ring mini!
The Spirit isn't the fastest one, especially when you're using a DS3

Hmm, yeah, ZR1 would have HUGE rear tires ;) that must be where it's getting it's drift speed values from. As long there are other cars in the same league then its al goood.

Well, I don't use it because I think I'm superior...this car is very well balanced and you can adjust the power from under 400 to over 900 HP while still having over 1000NM of massive torque.
In the FD I have to shift like a madman to keep the engine at rpm, hit the gas at 2500rpm in the Vette and it will work :sly:

Im not really great on knowing my speeds but at looking at my video, am i running decent speeds?

On a track like ARM speed is hard to come by, I know the car I'm using is better on larger tracks but speed shouldn't be too much of a factor on the first section, its tight enough that it'll be hard to generate a huge gap for the most part.

Speaking of ARM, if it were me I would shorten the run by a corner or two, the entire track as a tandem run seems a bit excessive in my opinion. I think if cars courtesy rolled down the hill into the left hander and then started the run just after, with the first clip being the fast right hander before the mini straight, it would provide a much better battle section.

Most real life sections in competitions consist of only 3-4 corners/clipping points, so I think the length and complexity of the full ARM track may be overkill.

Just sharing some thoughts. đź‘Ť

Edit: It would be easier to get consistent judging as well.

Having doubts on being able to do it? j/k Hey man im giving out over a hundred bucks of my own money. I gotta atleast make you guys work for it some how right :sly: đź‘Ť

I agree that the full track is a bit long, but I don't think cutting out the first 2 turns is the right solution. IMO the turn 2-3 transition is the hardest to get right so as to have enough speed for turns 3-4 so I'd rather not see those go. Full track will be really fun, obviously we still need tandem test runs to really figure it out :)
