ありがとうございます。 Monza Gold achieved. I am now working to shave off 3.5 seconds on Suzuka for the gold.đź‘Ť 私は最善を尽くします :) đź‘Ť

Congratulations for achieving gold on Monza! There's only one left, but it sounds a little bit tougher to beat the challenge judging from how much you need to cut off... cheering for you! & nice Japanese. đź‘Ť

Turning on skid recovery force makes you around 2 seconds faster, or it did for me. Easily golded Suzuka by 8 tenths I think and Nurburgring by over a second. Monza I'd already done without it.

The Vettel challenge is too hard for me. I was able to golf all other special events but barely got bronze in the first Nurb track... I didn't even try Monza and Suzuka. The real problem is after driving the X2010 for a while, everything else in my garage felt like over-weighted boat.

どうもありがとうございました!:) It is a very difficult challenge and I must admit that Suzuka has me troubled, but I will keep trying. đź‘Ť

Indeed, I know the feeling. I think I may stay away from online racing until my completion of these Vettel challenges, as it has thrown my abilities of driving the normal cars off quite a bit.

I have gold on Suzuka, but not legitimately :(.

I want to Gold all 3 but I still can't. I will eventually I hope (using a DS3).

Hey, gold is gold ;)
The car is too fast to exist, so who cares how you got it :)
As long as your gold time counts you're doing allright.
I myself went off track too > Nurb, first right corner, can take it prett wide.

I'm happy to practice and try and get gold on all three. Now, I haven't even come close...
But, am I at risk of ruining my G27? The gears in the FB system grind away as I lose traction in turns and over some kerbs. It just feels wrong.

I know using traction control makes this worse and the only aids I use are line (I know...) and skid control and ABS at 1.

Anyone with a Logitech G27 have any issues with this? Maybe I have something set up incorrectly?

I will have to wait and see if I agree with OP as i haven't spent nearly the amount of time needed - with tougher challenges in GT5 I hit a wall after a few hours a day. Leave it alone for a few days and come back to it. Repeat.

I didn't know you could golf the special events

Who thinks they will actually lower the time if more people join this force? :)

do you believe in santa?
No...., me neither, and neither do I in this statement above.
Get yourself a wheel and gold this within 3 hours of practise.

Before they change the required times they need to change the event into a time trial format that doesn't require restarts. Disqualify the laps (turning them red), but let the player keep practicing and have the lap times reset at the starting line like other time trials. Let players choose to restart if they want and do so on the track with a two second rolling start rather than from the pit where you must wait for the ghost. For me it's all the lost time restarting that discourages me because I know I would lose dozens of hours of my life to the scenario reloading if I tried to gold these events. It should have been common sense to maximize the time where the player is actually driving instead of trying to be artsy with their layout.

I would disagree with that, but if someone wants to cheat their experience, then that's up to them. It's their $50-$100.

I have got bronze at all events. We have got 3 more Red Bull's through.. so i have four. It's hard to get a gold, because you CAN'T make ONE mistake or you're late.

Did Monza and got gold took me about 45 mins. Just finished Nurb with gold took me 3 hours. All that is left now is Suzka did a few laps and that one seems to me is going to be the hardiest of them all. I am using a DFGT Wheel hope it holds up to the pressure put on it from these challenges.

this challenge is not really fair for DS3 drivers!!!
As I really put in some hours into GT5 for completion of all races, licences etc (or example the Eiger-8C-competezione-thing and AMG-drivers-school) I would like to get the Platinum throphy... BUT: this %&§$"% vettel bull&"§%$% ruins everything...
TOTALLY DISLIKE!!!!

Been 2 months since this page has gotten a reply. It is unfair the X1 is damn hard to drive. So in my opinion steal the X1 100,000hp Car.
