Veyron?

True, it wouldn't be standard without the wing, but who's betting, if it does go 4 seconds faster and paste the Enzo, Zonda F and MC12, we won't be seeing a road version of the CCX with a rear wing, maybe rebadged CCT for track or something snice the top speed won't be there anymore. It'l be an interesting episode though when they get that CCX back.

With that said, this thread really shouldn't be here, like the Koenigsegg thread, we have a GT5 wishlist thread for car's we want in GT5 and we have a Veyron thread in the auto forum to discuss the Veyron itself.

Actually, I noticed that myself after I posted... +1 💡

You said "That car isnt all that great, fast in straight line but slow in taking corners." This is wrong, very wrong, every road test say's it great at taking corners, we're definitely talking better than a Lamborghini here, maybe not Enzo good, sure, but supercar good. Even Gordon murray like it's track behaviour.
True, but I'll wait for the LP460's tests.
However, Lamborghini's goal has never been "To be the best."

I want to see Veyron in GT5. Why? Because then you can pass all other supercars with slight prod of throttle. and with that huge, turbocharged engine, imagine what kind of tuning potential it holds.. :scared:

LOL! I love it, all these opinions, and all of them based on dreams. Of course unless some people on here own the Veyron.

I will never drive one, I can accept it, so the only way I can tell if its a good car or not, is from reviews, ala Top Gear.

As for the handling, 4,000lbs, so what? Proper balancing, well designed electrics and such, it will go around a corner well enough. Put 1,000 bhp in an Enzo and it will struggled. (Probably why the FXX only has 800bhp).

Anyway, these are just opinions from reporters and news clippings, so I have no idea, just like everyone else :sly:

i would love to see, aswell as the veyron, the EB110 and the chiron conept, and the b.engineering edonis

it would be good if like the showromm what we have now, it just says e.g. zonda then there is a scrool down menu with

C12
C12S
C12 MONZA
GR
C12 S 7.3
F
F ROADSTER
C12 S ROADSTER

what d'you think?

Yep me too. But I reckon if the veyron is in GT5 it will be one of those cars that you cant tune.

Exactly.. GT4 isnt a game made for 1 person.. Its a game for millions to enjoy and to do that there has to be variety because every1 has there own tastes.. Think about.. Say you want soem pretty cooll cars that you love and enjoy but the other person hates them and wants no part of them and GT4 makes the game for this guy and doesnt include anything you wanted.. How would that be? not to good huh? thats why they try to include as much as they can so the whole world can enjoy the game instead of 1 person..

As for the car being in the game that woud be freakin awesome.. i dotn care how bad it handle sif it does because this thing looks sharp and is extremely fast..

I hope they have it in there. The Veyron is an engineering marvel so I don't see why VW wouldn't want it to be in the game.

I still think that if the Veyron's in, then these should be in too.

^Oh yeah! Now we´re talkin´!

As a sidenote here, I think the Bentley Blower has a place in GT, as it has some autohistoric significance, just like the Atlantic.

And as for the Enzo, I think it is more likely that Maserati makes it into GT, and that the MC12 is more plausible than the Enzo.

how come the other bugatti (the EB1) never really got recongised..... I didnt even hear of it till the Veyron came out!

EB1? Do you mean the EB110?? That car got pretty big acclaim when it came out, it also lead to Bugatti going out of business since it came out at the wrong time, much like the Jag XJ220.

You mean the EB110? Well, Bugatti rose from the dead in the late 80's to build it, so it was a matter of a long-lost name suddenly popping up with a supercar -- younger enthusiasts and ignorant rich guys don't really know about Bugatti's history, so when they heard about it they perceived it as an "upstart," which it technically was (since the "new" Bugatti had nothing to do with the "old" Bugatti).

There's also the fact that it came out in 1991 (110 years after Ettore Bugatti's birth, which was the inspiration for the name), when everyone was already lusting for the big-name supercars -- the Porsche 959, Ferrari F40, and Lamborghini Diablo. Anticipation for the McLaren F1, which was to be released in 1994, couldn't have helped either.

Bugatti went bankrupt in 1995 and dropped off of the radar until 1998, when VAG bought it.

Yeah sorry I didnt know the proper name yeah it is the EB110.

I must have been before my era of like being old enough to know properly about cars.... I would have been 5 in 1991!

You can see there have been some slight styling clues which have been lifted from it and put on the veyron.....

Im glad they managed to come back..... but who knows they could go bankrupt again if they keep making these one off supercars..... make a hatchback! I would buy one

I don't think it's a case of a license costing too much overall, I mean afterall, Polyphony have Sony to come up with the cash, I think it may be costing too much in comparison to other licenses, and especially for just one or maybe two (including the EB110) cars.

It should be interesting, and hopefully they will come up with the goods

So would have I -- I was born in '86 too. ;)

I don't blame you, though. Learning more about the automotive world, particularly in the Automotive forums area, is part of what makes GTP great, and members like live4speed and I are always willing to help. :)

Eh, yeah it's true Bugatti lost the EB110. However, Dauer picked it up and started production of it for a while.

They did the same with Porsche's 962LM.

Actually, all Dauer did was buy the partially-built and unfinished EB110s that were sitting at the factory, finished them, and then sold them. That's why it only lasted for a while. ;)

If I´m not mistaken, I seem to remember that the B Engineering Edonis was built on a EB110. Really nice looking car!

I thought Dauer made new bodies in carbon fibre to reduce weight. They were originally aluminium.

I doesn't matter how heavy it is. It's the engineering behind the car. The Veyron is not engineered that great. They just slapped 4 turbos, and 1000HP on it. Painted it, the made that stoppy thing like the SLR.

4000lbs+1000hp=mad chaos

It's gonna be lapped by a SLR, or basically any supercar.

But why does everyone think of the Veyron form Bugatti?

Veryon, is probally my lest favorite car... It's only a icon, it's not a drivers car.

The Bugatti EB 110, now thats a car.

You have obviously got to be trolling. There is no way any human on the planet would be this ignorant. Not engineered well? What the hell is the matter with you?

Do you have any idea what it takes to keep that car on the road much less get it going to near 250mph? Do you know anything about WHY the Veyron was made (and why it is special) or what wind resistance is? How about tire construction? You need to stop posting and do some research beyond watching an episode of Top Gear if you honestly believe that "it wasn't engineered all that well", troll.
