So far, the top drivers at Erebus have won at least one race. Erebus are doing better than most in the regards.

Winterbottom and Lowndes in the top four for both sessions. Shaping up to be a great battle between them.

Pukekohe is a must watch on tv. I've not been to the circuit buy, I feel being there, one misses the attitudes of the cars. The slomo surely helps.

Superview schedule for those in the USA:
  • Qualifying Races 28 & 29: 4:00pm MST / 6:00pm EST
  • Race 28: 6:25pm MST / 8:25pm EST
  • Race 29: 8:40pm MST / 10:40pm EST
  • Qualifying Race 30: 5:15pm MST / 7:15pm EST
  • Race 30: 7:25pm MST / 9:25pm EST
Going to miss qualifying today since I don't get home in time from work. :(

Prodrive must be kicking themselves. Reynolds has put the car on pole in Race 2 and on second in Race 1. Best performing PRA car by far.

Waters already showing his inexperience by dive bombing Walsh in Qualifying 1 and damaging both cars.

Yeah was an awkward incident, but almost every driver has been having issues getting stopped there and Walsh was in an awkward spot trying to let people pass. It's just part of qualifying on such a short track, when some guys are pissing around driving slowly and others are at 110% incidents are highly likely.

Glad to see someone getting penalised for cutting the track and re-joining in the same spot. Hopefully this sets some sort of precedent for the future, happens way too often.

Wasn't exactly done on purpose, and in my opinion as long as they don't gain an advantage (passing cars or adding time to a gap) then it's really not an issue. He did come out ahead but 2 corners later Craig was on his bumper again.

He re-joined miles ahead of where he initially was but he did attempt to let Craig catch up.

That's besides the point though, he made a mistake and completely missed the corner with Craig right behind him so therefore he should be penalised for making the mistake. Allowing cars to re-join in the same spot after making a huge mistake like that is a complete cop-out.

And there goes Lowndes chance at the championship. Going to take a miracle for him to win it now.

I just love how my video quality went from 720p to 360p on the last lap. Only way to fix it is to refresh the page. :grumpy:

Good job Renolds for holding on to that one. I though Whincup had him for sure.

I started yelling at the tv at that moment.

And one more thing... Look the trophy he got. Better than the majority of the trophies handed out all year.

Holy crap that tyre blow out was massive, gutted for Craig. SVG driving like an animal as usual 13th to 5th in 21 laps!

Somehow, I doubt that the decision to let Reynolds go had much to with his performances, or even a desire to promote Waters. I know we all love him for his kooky personality, but I have to wonder what he's like to deal with day-to-day. I suspect that his work ethic isn't great and/or that he's a bit too intense. He has always reminded me of a guy I used to work with who was great fun, but only really tolerable in fifteen-minute doses before he got tiresome. And while teams might have to put up with personality clashes, there's only so much that people can tolerate.

May be too late for his change in attitude. He was given notice at the beginning of this season. He sought help mentally. Turned to boxing to toughen up. He was going to lose the seat regardless of his performance and his daffyness.

The same way Davison was gone to make way for Mostert. Think about it like Red Bull F1 have their Jr drivers lined up. Ricciardo was getting that seat one day. Once Webber said, "Peace out." it was automatic. FPR was Frosty's team. Richards was gone and Davison slotted in. Mostert was coming up and things started getting tough for Davison. Waters gets recruited and trained by FPR. It was only a matter of time before PRA would let Reynolds know his time is up.

I think his work ethic is fine he has a couple of successful businesses.

Right, because running a business requires exactly the same set of skills as driving a racing car.

How else do you explain PRA's decision to let him go despite his run of results? Their relationship has to have broken down at some point. After all, they pretty much gave him his marching orders before they knew Waters could be in a position to step up.

As far as I can see he was asked to be released from his contract I'm getting an alonso type image where he thinks there will be something greener on the other side.

I suggest that you see an optometrist, since you're clearly colour-blind. He's leaving the satellite of the best team on the grid for a struggling backmarker. The whole thing smacks of the lesser evil - going to Erebus is better than a year on the sidelines.

I doubt it is much to do with Reynolds and more a long term view for the future, Mostert has shown alot of speed this year to prove he is likely safe hands to be the lead driver very soon, and Waters is likely to cover frosty.

they probably tried to get a waters a seat on the grid in a non PRA car at first but when that became impossible they did this.

If you go through the history of the driver market in V8s you will see the top drivers don't move around much if at All so this can secure that front for the forseable future.
