How is that a post race investigation? Is it really that unclear that he hit his back wheel after pushing Reynolds wide?

As much as I absolutely despise SVG, and as much as I love Reynolds, that blame could be evenly distributed as SVG had overlap when Reynolds came down.

The Nissans are going good though. No slouches this time.

To decide the Championship, not to have at least 2 tyres changed in these sprints, doesn't help anyone. 14 quick laps and anyone's hopes are gone.

"Mark.... I mean, Craig is too slow!"- Vet...er, Whincup.

Good racing mid pack. Snooze fest up front. Good job Moffat P5. Todd had some pace too, Slade was holding him up. Frosty is going to need to do better or he's going to give this thing away.

This race: 👎

No value in it. World class venue. Someone here mentioned about timed races. This is when two 1hour races with mandatory pit for 2x tyres should occur.

Wow. Reynolds. :nervous:

Nice stuff from Tander to go from 15th to 8th. Encouraging pace from McLaughlin, those Triple 8 Commodores are going to be very hard to beat though.

So Van Gisburgen just says "Turn 1", in the footage it shows that Reynolds is in mid corner and he tries to come in from very far on the outside, so he just flat out admits he did that he took out Reynolds due to being pissed off about something Reynolds had no control over?

What a ********

I thought it was the best Super Sprint race since Darwin...

Mid pack to last place(which we didn't see much of), had good battles. 14 laps is all we got. Not good value in my opinion. V8SC always changing rules per race(exaggeration). Pit stops are a feature of V8SC. It's what they wanted to showcase at Texas and the AGP. They want to do it at KLCity. Why not have pit stops during every race? Even if it's just tyre rotation. Luckily there wasn't a Safety Car.

If Bargwanna does nothing about this I assume the precedent is that if someone puts you in a bad position at turn one of the race you're allowed to take him out many corners afterwards

That's a drive through everyday of the week.
It should be a race ban. The footage from Reynolds' rear bumper clearly shows that van Gisbergen didn't have anything resembling an overlap. I wouldn't be surprised if it was deliberate retaliation that got out of hand - van Gisbergen would have felt slighted by the opening corner, and so would have fired back with a few taps on the rear bumper to voice his displeasure. He has done it before, only this time it got out of hand.

The problem is that, no matter what the stewards decide to do, Reynolds is still screwed by losing all those points.

Why the 🤬 does channel 10 have V8SC right and not broadcast anything when there is no other sport on at this time of the year.

Muppets.

Nice bit of trivia by Whincup's turn by turn of PI: "MotoGP demand the track get resurfaced each year."

"I have a new team mate next year in Shane Van Gisbergen. Going to have to work on my drifting skills. " - Jamie Whincup

Frosty out for a spin in the country

Winterbottom is rattled. Without a doubt. His psychology is all messed up as he's got it into his head it's him versus the world. He needs to regain his confidence and stop the whinging or else he should just retire.

Pye is staying out of the slipstream and losing ground to Reynolds and Frosty. Caruso is pretty fast.

This whole Reynolds-SVG thing has been blown right out of proportion. I honestly don't think it would have been as big as a problem as it is if Courtney and fellow Holden drivers never publicly said they'd help Lowndes, even if it meant disposing of a few Fords.

Whincup should be fine for the start it didn't look like a false one to me
He twitched a couple times but never passed the line, and since the car was stationary when the lights went out I guess that means he's good to go.

Race was so-so, not as good as the first. Looking forward to a longer longer race with tire changes tomorrow.

Interesting comment from Reynolds - that there's a couple of Holden drivers gunning for him and Winterbottom. The insinuation is that van Gisbergen's move might have been part of a wider plan to make life difficult for the Ford drivers. We know Holden aren't above doing it; remember when Skaife and Tander were playing games with Lowndes a few years ago? I doubt van Gisbergen deliberately pushed Reynolds off, because that's not his style. He's smart enough to know how to control the car, and arrogant enough to believe that he can get away with it.

Courtney himself said on Inside Supercars that Holden drivers, including himself, would do that.

I've got no problems with brands using their muscle to make sure that their rivals don't get the championship, especially if those brands are Holden and Ford.

SVG is Triple 8 next year....

That's what Ingall eluded to. Him saying he wasn't going to back off was .ore about driver safety than any plays. Many drivers have not backed off. It's just not happened deliberately by a driver who has no chance versus a Championship contender. Most racers would steer clear of ruining someone's championship chances. But that key statement of not backing off should earn him. A back of the grid penalty. Losing points won't do a thing. He's out if there anyway.
