My issue is that neither of those even slightly interest me. I'm not going to go and do something I have no passion in doing.

I think it's important to do a series that can live with lower numbers. A touring car series is a way to go. You brought up dirt track racing, something that is a shocking miss as far as B-Spec series go. Ultimately, it's your call. You've got my support to chase whatever you want to start up, as long as it doesn't copy something already out there.

The only way an ARCA series would happen in regards to the feeder theory, there would have to be a partnership between RACE and VRR which to my knowledge doesn't exist. The Brazilian Stock Cars are tempting but are also an unknown bit because I can't find paint templates for them and the same problem applies to V8 Supercars. DTM is a no because it's using the Cup2003 cars, which is stupid. IROC would be great except VRR doesn't have any B-Spec champions yet. Which leads me to four options. 1) A stock car series using the BR15 mod, which wouldn't be favorable given the three other stock car series. 2) Making another top tier open wheel series under IRG sanction ie. IRL and CCWS which is bad. 3) Possibly...possibly...a Trans Am series. 4) a dirt track series.

Might I make a suggestion? Why not use an IROC mod for a Trans-Am championship? If for nothing other than a test series or proof-of-concept, I'd bet there is at least one good IROC Firebird T/A.

I kind of strayed away from Trans Am after realizing that the templates are as scarce as the Brazilian Stock Car ones. However, I did find the Brazilian Stock Car templates on SRD, so I will likely be heading in that direction unless someone blows my mind with something else.

Came to the conclusion that I'm going to go in the V8 Supercar direction, with my twists on it. Brazilian stock cars, while fun to watch, look really complex and a bit stupid from a livery standpoint (only part of the windscreen is uncovered and most of the windows are covered up). It will be called the International Touring Car Series and will use the V8 Supercar mod and be a road and street course based series. I will use this already existing thread and just revamp it. Then I'll tag a bunch of people who may be interested and go from there.
