Sure I did. I commented yesterday, saying that I'd postpone it to friday at 19.00GMT.

And just to make sure people know what to bring...

Mercedes C63 AMG VS BMW M3.

Tracks we'll be testing on are as follows.

Rome - 8 laps.
Madrid - 5 laps.
Special Stage Route - 5 laps.

I already have all the tracks for the championship lined up, but I don't want to give up everything just yet.
lets just say that one of the tracks has been absent from this Racing Series for far too long, and thus shall be making a comeback.

I also want to test the Toyota, Scion and Subaru FT86 again for another possible Racing Series.
Please tune one of your own choosing with the following.

Carbon Bonnet - Either with or without color.
Add spoiler, front splitter and bumper from GT autoshop.
Stage 1 engine tuning, along with Sports ECU.
Sports Intake Manifold and Racing Air Filter.
Titanium Semi-Racing Exhaust.
Custom transmission - Tune it however you like.
Custom Suspension - Tune it however you like.
Clutch Twin-Plate.

Tires will be Sport Hard, and we'll do some short races on Fuji and Suzuka.
I will be on in about 10 minutes. Give me some time to do some stuff and to tune my spare GT86 for some testing.

I just got disconnected from the testing session and I'm having some trouble getting back in. I'll try again later but we did some good testing with the Mercs and the BMWs. Mercs seem to dominate at Rome from their great start line speed and will beat the BMW in a race providing that you can keep it under control. To win in a BMw you would have to be constantly be doing 1:19.xxx or 1:18.xxx laptimes.

Jawehawk, about my pass on you in the 3 lap race at Madrid, I can use as an excuse this quote:

" By being a racing driver means you are racing with other people. And if you no longer go for a gap that exists, you're no longer a racing driver, because we are competing." - Ayrton Senna

:P :P

Well that must be the most justified excuse there has ever been since the dawn of the human race :P .

And that is why I don't like Formula One racers. All arrogant bastards. :)
But I trust you know that it wasn't a clean pass.

Just ended the Testing session, and I'm pleased to announce that the cars are a go. They match up great, with different tracks giving advantages to both the cars.

I'll take some time to snatch some pictures, and the OP should then be updated tomorrow. Thanks to those who joined.

I know it wasn't, just tryed to make the pass in the gap that appeared.

The straight line speed saves the merc from being destroyed by the BMW. It was frustrating to overtake the merc, but then got overtaken at the straight after that corner. Especially at rome.

The BMW is quick as long as it can drive the ideal line, but if there is a noisy merc in the way the BMW is thrown of its pace.

Buck had two dive bomb actions in the rome race as well. Just waited a little longer with turning to avoid a collision and i could take the inner side of the corner, reclaiming my position.

I was thinking of something we haven't done here before, maybe do a multi class race with the BMW/Merc and the 86 GT/BRZ and that other one :).

I won't do Multi Class racing until it is properly featured in the game.
And you underestimate the beautiful Merc.

Well, I was faster in the Merc then I was in the BMW.. Guess I know how to make the Merc be under my control.

The test from yesterday was indeed a succes.

The OP has been updated. I want every single one of you to read the entire OP! I don't want to hear a single excuse from someone saying they thought the race was being held at the usual time. Look at the OP. Understand it. And ask if you have any questions.

Also, if you see a date that doesn't quite fit, then notify me, and we'll see what can be done. The dates are not written in stone yet.

Hope to see a lot of attendance.

That is all.

I've read the updated OP and I've noted down the times and dates* for the first couple of races. Can't wait for the start and congratulations on picking the cars Andy :) .

*Don't worry, I will actually attend races this time xD

It's looking good as always mate. As far as i can see the dates are no problem for me so count me in. As a bmw owner my choice of those two is obvious of course :).

45 laps at la sarthe, thats going to be a long race. I tested the M3 at la sarthe yesterday and lapped a 4:42:xxx after 4 laps, it's possible to knock a few seconds of though. It means that the race will be at least 3,5 hrs.

I'll put you down for the Merc then. :dopey:

Yeah, I wasn't sure about the lap times on La Sarthe, so I just put a temporary number down. Will adjust it down to 30.

Would really like to join but the final race is impossible for me to attend and both races on the 23rd of february are questionable.

Perhaps I could attend the other races outside of competition so I won't get any points. This way it won't mess up the championship while still keeping the number of participants.

Just a proposition, I would understand it if you didn't agree.

Well, we should be able to change some of the dates. Prefere that everyone gets point, as it increases the level of compitition. Will talk about new dates later today.

I can't make Saturday races. But i don't expect you to change the date of 4 races. Ill just come to the 2 others to bump attendance if you would like.

I may get lucky then be able to attend some but don't bank on it.
